He closed the door with a chuckle. Oh yes, that had been enjoyable. She lacked any spirit whatsoever now. It was deliscious to see that hopelessness in her eyes.

"There are people.."

"Yes, I know."

"Shouldn't we..?" Right Hand pointed vaugly.

"Perhaps, but more likely perhaps not. We have more than enough materials to get rid of them."

"Yes, Sire."

"How goes your progress?"

"Ten. Full grown."

"The smile widened. "Oh yes."

"Idiot of a drow, did I ever say you were?" In her opinion someone was a tab bit self absorbed. And it wasn't attractive in any aspect on him. Though she didn't rise to his bait of her 'leading charge' because she knew tht was stupid. She could of done it anyway just to prove him wrong, but that was just stupid as well, not to mention a death invitation. "All I said was let's get in there before we waste more time."

"I only figurd it would be an effective tactic to allow our weapon to do as mu priliminary damage to the defences before such a small and weak group assulted the keep of the third most powerful spellcaster on the plane." THe drow shrugged, "I guess dying is not such a bad option either..."

"Actually, he's probalby mroe in the line of first. But if we don't get in there soon enough, Tanundra won't let us in. his madness grows the longer he knows she's here and can't get her. So. how about we knock on the front door."

Malvolence got drawn, and burst into blazing flame along the blade..and gave it a good hard swing, lobbing a burst of flame fireball style at the front gates. hopefull either 1. it woudl burn the doors down, or 2. the force of dragon created fire would burst through them.

"and he is the kind to have a backdoor. so that servants won't use the front one. But hey, lets enjoy ourselves, shall we?"

"And I was hoping to be at least impressed by Dimitri..." The drow sighed, "Oh well."

The gates didn't budge. Even older than the firsts, this castel had been long protected from dragon attacks, when such things were more common. Thus why Tanundra was hurling himself bodily into the castle structure. Now though, the sounds of the undead and soulless could easily be heard. They filled the castel near to brimming, searching for the things they hated.

Malik was right about the backdoor. But it wsn't there to let anyone in, it was there to let his creations out.

Kieran clasped his hands behind his back at the sight of the gates more or less still standing without budge.. "Alright then, second plan of action to breech perimeter anyone?" Of course his ears twitched, picking up on the sounds of things more or less unnatural. He tapped a foot for a moment, looking up to Tanundra, who was making more headway than them. "Anyone want to be dragon bait?" Get the dragon to make an entranceway for them if need be. Bah, could use Fianna right about now.

What was a girl to do? Simple stand there while the men debated and argued? Not usually. Zahara was more in the mind of action but at this point she really didn't care. It would be a simple matter to blast the gates with a huge fireball but when it didn't cave there would be no end to the amount of crap she would hear from Malik and probably Jarlaxle as well. She was for more content to simply stand where she was and let the idiots argue. She wasn't losing out on this mission if it didn't get completed after all. Well, with the exception of one tiny thing. She owed that lich a nice kick for chaining her to a wall. But once that kick was delivered, well her revenge would be sated. She glanced down into the pocket of her skirt and checked to make sure Toharu was still there, and safe.

"Cleric girl, ask your god to creat a barrier around the main entrance to delay the oncoming hordes." Jarlaxle ordered, even though he said he wasn't taking command. "In exchange, I'll get us in the castle." He pointed at the door, "Force is not going to work."

Tanundra shoved his head through a rooftop, reaching inside the bulding and spewing fire. While Tanudnra was causeing large amounts of damage, it seemed that there was little to know defensis on the crumbling castle itself. There was plenty of undead and half-living, but no labcoats, no servants no other beasts of burden. Which meant like the Lich's other base, this one must be underground, beneath the castle.

Toharu didn't have a mask, and was being very careful not to breath in any of the gasses. It was difficult, when they were talking with those spirit forms, and she wasn't sure that she hadn't breathed any in, using Zahara's pocket as a filter over her mouth. Closer to this building though, the gases were thinner.

"using the spiderqueen to blaockade teh souless and undead. interesting. I woudl think Lloth would prefer them loose."

True enough. this place was built to resist magical power..but not brute force, as Tanundra was proving.

"You thinking of going in through the dragon's wake?"

PostPosted: Tue May 09, 2006 1:32 pm

"No.." Without waiting for a response from Zahrar on his command to create a barrier, Jarlaxle enveloped the gourp with an impentrable darkness for a breath of seconds, before both it and he were gone.

Zahara glanced at Malik and laughed, "Spider b***h is going to do you any good. I'm not loyal to he rany longer thanks to Tarathiel." Eilistraee was her godess of choice now. She glanced at Jarlaxle for a moment and nodded before concentrating in the ritual prayers to the divine asking her for the help that the drow requested. Sure enough, a shimmering barrier was created, that flowed through Zahara's fingers in an iridescent wave and surrounded the main entrance like a wall. It would deflect magic back at the caster, physical attacks would bounce off. She had a feeling it would be the same if they tried to cast a spell as well. Entirely for protection...until it was brought down. How it worked, Zahara didn't question, she merely stood there, hands raised her lips still moving in the prayer before opening her eyes and glancing around. "What in the name of Lloth...?" It would be a simple matter for her to get through the barrier and anyone who swore fealty to her could as well. That left Malik and Jarlaxle...that could be interesting. But with the drow suddenly disappearing...well he better be doing this 'trick' he'd promised or Malik was screwed.

"At least we're getting somewhere." Despite her dislike of whatever it was that Jarlaxle had just done, undead things, the situation entirely and general aggrivation, it was a good thing to have progression. She set her hands on her hips and merely shook her head before raising one to pinch the bridge of her nose a moment. "Hopefully we can all get back out in one piece..."

Kieran was merely looking around by this point, watching the happenings. Even with the situation at hand he was still inquisitive as ever. Hey it was all very interesting now wasn't it? But he merely stayed a bit close to Piper, and let his eyes sweep the immediate area in normal fashion. Well they were in the Underark, he supposed it was best to rely on powers and knowings of thsoe that knew it best.

Sparks of energy crackeled btween Zahara's barriar and other barriers that were up aroudn the castle. Conflicting gods, conflicting magics. Droves of dead slammed agianst the invisible wall, piling aginst it, crawling over top of each other to try and reach the top. The mass continued to push forward, so muhc so that those in front where squished agaisnt the barriar like bugs on a window.
