Is it bad that I felt like the whole Malice thing was clever and crafty, and that the point of RP is not to say "hey, I have this idea and this idea and this idea, but wait, you have this idea so HOW DARE YOU ENTER THAT HERE?" and then threaten to ignore it instead of working around it?

I mean, it wasn't that big of a deal, especially if I understand the character and sword. You people need to chill out about that kind of stuff. I mean, yeah, it's not his Role Play, and I understand if it is yours, and I understand that Rain was bitching and bitching about it (and you were, I would have left it where it was personally), but there are better, more constructive ways of going about fixing a perceived problem.

And yes, I know I'll get bitched at (hopefully not banned, but I don't know how anybody who could ban me will take this [hopefully just as constructive criticism]), but I just felt like that was a bigger ordeal than it needed to be.

I suppose it just stems from my belief that literate role play like this is like two writers getting together and writing a book against one another paragraph by paragraph. Every writer has a different style, different likes and dislikes, but neither writer should be able to just say 'that doesn't work, ******** that' and/or conversely going into some accelerating, escalating thing.

And again, I'm being critical of Rain here, too. It wasn't necessary to the story, it was perhaps a bit elongated, and I'll agree Malice is a bit strong, dare I say over-powered. But we can all compromise.

That's my only problem with running Quinn in this guild is that he's so easily broken. A punch from one of these peoples' characters to someone else's character would be nothing, but a punch from one of their characters to Quinn? It would be horribly debilitating. Not to mention super powers, things like that.

I dunno. I always view the high level, high power characters as near God like anyway. They really are in the classical sense. A lot of them are comparable to Greek, Roman, even Norse Gods with very little difference. I didn't quite understand the sword in its entirety, but it seemed pretty strong.

All I'm saying is, though, that we can all go ahead and compromise. No one needs to get all angry, frustrated, or upset or anything similar.

I don't know if I'm doing HoH this year...I'd like to, but haven't gotten around to doing anything about it. Kat and I were working on something but I'm not sure I'd want to enter a new character.

*sigh* Indecision.
