I kinda figured out who he was soon as he said 'alt of Des'. Plus I was tipped off by my sources that Des might show up
Currently, the email that goes with this account was compromised about a year or two ago. Can't get it switched over to my new email without the old one, so I know I'm running on borrowed time

EK, if you're worried about losing your account, change your username, make a new EK account, trade items over, etc. Just be more careful with security so that won't happen again.

I was considering it. I might do it some day. Would be a bummer to lose my post count though. I was getting close to 100k. Plus the account has been around for 5 years or so

Closer to 50k. But yeah, thats the thing about mine too. Its about 5-7 years old, and it also has control over my guild...

Yeah, it sucks to have that kinda stuff happen.
One of the reasons I set my account to friends only both for getting PMs and even seeing my profile is because I don't want people to see things that might make me a potential target. I have a very rare, very expensive item that I'm almost afraid to ever equip just because I know it'll immediately point out that I've got something worth a ton of gold.

Well, my account was only compromised through my email, not my actual Gaia account. The email hasn't been used in years, and isn't attached to anything
