The bickering of that sort when on the whole ride...which was about a day and a hald long. It would have been longer but no amount of asking or pleading...or even vioelnce, could bring the dragon to stop. The end of the road, the sliver of light in the distnace now in sight. Tanundra paused for a moment, his mind set on simply charging the place and destroying it.

"Now we have a few options. We can break into small groups and do our own thing, allow Green to take them all down in a single blow, or let someone else do the thinking, hey Malik, You like to plan. Gods are against us, and already know what we are thinking, what do we do next?" What is the point in having a plan, if a God will tell your enemy it in detail. Aged drow learned that trick well, as well as have it used against them.

A slight smirk.

"One god is against us, his counterpart is for us. I would do all three. Tanundra can shatter the items that give the Sky Father his influence here, you probably work well alone or already have back up, adn I can take the others on our own methods. three pronged strike, and no matter how much the Sky Father tells Dimitri, he can't be in three places at once and can't afford to divide his personal power in that manner."

And a slight shrug.

"Not to mention the spiritual essences of the original Oracle and Mage are also for us, so that gives us another small divine or spiritual advantage."

and drumming his fingers on Malvolence.

"And I can let T'haen have some freedom as well."

The drow smiled weakly, "That should work." He blindly agreed. There was no real reason for him to offer any opinions or expertise beyond what he stated.

He scaned the group and their equipment, and chuckled. "Who wants to live longest?"

A day and a half of torture in her opinion. Between bickering and snide comments, she was pretty stretched in the area of patience. Currently she was sitting crosslegged, tweaking the string of her bow some to her liking. And though she was listening she really wasn't processing, stopping a moment to let her fingers tug at her bandana before giving a sigh and leaning against Kieran's shoulder with a roll of her eyes to the drow's prods, biting her tongue, literally, to keep her mouth shut about him and his little musings.

He had been sitting here as well, quiet and uninterupting. On ecould of said he was in reverie from the way he stared and didn't move, but he was more or less just being subdued, going through things in his head. But one hand moved to idly pet at Raziel in common fashion before a look to the weight put on his shoulder and he let his hand come down to pet at his daughter's hair, something in quiet elvish langauge being said to her and being said back from her. He let his hand continue his comforting fatherly petting through her hair as his attention did deviate to thier destination. Oh that looked inviting...

Or perhaps, suggested the dragon in a stange moment of clarity. You should talk to the Firsts and see what they have to say. That said, he turned himself towards the grounds in a fast glide, near the crumbling city entrance, he uncerimoniously flipped and dumped his passengers on the ground. Any who managed to hold on was shooken off not long after.

PUT ON THE MASKS. He yelled at them befores setting his sights on the castel on the other side of the city.

Being unannouncedly unceremoniously dumped seemed about the final straw for her...evidenced by the fact that as she got herself back to her feet an arrow had been grabbed and notched and aimed at the dragon, uncaring of whether it would hurt him or not, she wanted to vent. But it seemed she didn't get the chance as Kieran grabbed the shaft of her arrow with one hand, and the other laid to her arm, pressuring it downward.

"You're only going to waste those." Said in a tone that even if you didn't know what was being said, you knew it was a reprimand of some sorts. And he didn't give her a chance to protest back as he more or less shoved her mask on her face and then tended to his own, eyeing her until she put that arrow back in her quiver and slung her bow over she shoulder. Beling a telepath was fun, could understand other telepaths. A nod to her, as he still stood protectively close.

The drow yawned, and placed the mask over his face. He looked at his wrists and then felt the slender stick that was attached to his belt, then looked at his hands. He frowned at Piper's behaviour, "If the first were so-"

He stopped, he had antagonised this bunch enough already. Not only had they proven themselves, except for the new elf, incabable of defending their home, they lacked any form of control. It felt to Jarlaxle like this bunch took advantage of lives that were easy, and borish. He knew very well many things that went against that thought, but their actions and behaviour did not reflect those experiences at all, or they merely accepted that they were weak. Either way, this was unpleasent.

"Its a good thing I am here, I don't think you guys could ever do this on your own." Arrogent, yes, but egging them on as well. Hopefully they would tell him to go away, then he could do something more productive with his time. HE decided that doing random things from now on would have to wait for players who knew how to play. Was his eye patch on? -

It was not like Kieran to dislike a drow, after all they were his subject of study and his fascination. Though perhaps it was the personal upsetting of his own daughter that had put him off some to their new companion. "You think highly of yourself, do you not?" That was more of rhetorical...but it was a fascinating thing none the less. "To be so blindly bold, even when truth should be in front of you."

There was no condescending or reprimanding or even judgmental tone it. It was Kieran being Kieran and making his own observations. After all, Kieran wasn't out for a fight or to antagonize, seemingly unlike someone else. "And here I was told that the plan of drow was to become pack and then siege. Do correct me if I'm wrong."

"Intellegent drow do not plan. So, you are wrong." Replied Jarlaxle with a rather emotionless tone.

"The Spider Queen is the Matron of the Drow, Dominian at least. If you do anything that displeases her, you suffer a fate worse than death. Pretend for a moment that you understand what it is like to live in her mist, a mere male of no significance, as no males hold any significance. What do you do to survive? How do you live for all eternity? What is there for you to think about beyond simply surviving?"

"Kieran, of places farther away than I care to go, do you really think you can understand anything? Are you that arrogant as to believe it is possible for you to know anything?"

"When your life does not matter, petty things such as hair or family means nothing. Familia is a tool for conquest, nothing more. Women," His red eye narrowed on Piper and Zahara, "Are merely things, men even less."

"Do you even understand that no matter where I go, or what I do, I am a pawn of a greater power, and nothing I do is of my own free will. Should I be so arrogant and self-righteous as to believe in free-will or fate, perhaps I could join you ignorant and selfish children on that pedistule you call 'home'."

"No matter where you go, where you are, you are just an insturment of Lloth's will. No matter which god you claim to serve, you only feed her taste for chaos. Until the multiverse is destoryed, and nothing exists, we cannot escape her service."

He turned his face towards Kieren, his voice dripped with sarcasm "Do I think highly of myself?"

His tone completely shifted in a very happy one, "Then again, I am alive so I might as well do something useful with my time." He paused, and looked back at Kieren. "Perhaps know, you can assume something from my little chat, perhaps you are intellegent enough to figure out to plot of the Princeling." He chuckled, "Then again, what can I expect from a race who's ignorance makes me look arrogent."

"Or maybe, you fear death."

Kieran merely held as emotionless a look as Jarlaxle himself did. This drow wasn't the first to look him in the face and tell him all of this and he wouldn't be the last to do so either. Not so long as Kieran kept up in his little endevours. Though he did find it intriguing that he knew him by name and first no less. But as per usual he merely listen to him as he continued on without pause, even seemingly throwing in an insult or two.

"To call me arrogant and ignorant would be the same fault as if I were to say to you, now wouldn't it? Perhaps you shouldn't lump us all together...for surface elf I may be, but surface minded I am not. You don't know me to be either arrogant nor ignornat, for you don't know me at all." He looked away at no particular spot a moment before looking back to the conversation at hand. "Now this is my opinion and wrong or not it does not matter for you will either agree or disagree and nothing will sway our minds. You say there is no break from your goddess, though those who follow blindly obediant would say that. There is always a break point, be it in life or in the bringing of death."

A little shrug. "And I do not assume, nor concern myself with matters it is better I am out of. This Princeling being one of those. As for death...if I feared it, I would not be here in the Underdark. For what do surface elves fear more than elves of the dark, yes?"

Happy was most definitely gone. She was pissed, forced to ride on a dragon listening to others, when she didn't want to be around the others was grating on her patience. She wanted to be back in that blissful state that she had achieved just a few hours ago even though she knew there was no possible way it was going to happen. But being dumped off the dragon, even though she landed in a crouched position, really didn't make her happy at all. She growled low in her throat and glared up at the beast still soaring through the sky. The command tossed back reminded her of the mask that she'd managed to hold onto during her fall and she quickly yanked it over her face to keep from breathing anything that might be harmful and deadly. Her fingers clenched and she longed to tell the drow male just how wrong he was. She was no longer a pawn in Lloth's plan, she was no longer under Lloth's command, she had escaped. It was possible, she and Sevilin were living proof of that.

"I don't care who you are, Kieran. I don't care what your agenda is, or how I can easily use it to my own benefit." The drow smiled rather evilly, "Despite all you may despritely wish to believe, every sentient creature is part of Lloth's divine will."

"Chaos can only exist if their is law, as light is to dark. Ignore her wishes you may try, but never be free will you be."

"How can you not serve the will of destruction, when that is all she wants. Each time you kill another creature, you are living up to her expectations. Each time you disobey a command, or rebel against another, or even beseach anything at the expense of another, you worship her to the fullest potential. Leave your plane, go to another. Kill there, or be killed. Live life to its fullest, do as you wish, further her power by being what she wants you to be: Selfish."

"How do you battle a god, who gains power from you battling her?"

"How do you escape a god, who only commands her priestesses to do as they do, to make her people feared?"

"How do you rebel, when rebelling is what she wants?"

"Or, have you never thought about how to truly worship a goddess of chaos?"
PostPosted: Sat May 06, 2006 2:29 pm

"I'm desperate now? And if you do not care who I am or what I do, then why do you continue to try and point me in the so called right direction of this all?" Again it was simply what every drow thought, or so he had seen from cross reference. Lloth and her all encompassing will and what not. "Could be simple as the disbelief of said goddess, couldn't it? For if she doesn't exist in your mind...well..." He let that trail off. After all as he had said, his words wouldn't sway the other's mind and vice versa and he knew that, nor again was he out for a fight, be it verbal or not. There was enough to concentrate on as there was.

Jarlaxle laughed, and then suddenly stopped. "You were serious, weren"t you?" The drow laughed again.

"A group of primative goblins raid a small community." He paused. "Even though Lloth did not exist in their minds, their actions furthered her will, and increased her power."

"Every, "evil", deed is an act of worship to Lloth, believe in her or not."

"Then again, the same could be said about most "good" deeds."
