Kaura stood quickly, darting her eyes away from Matrix to run to the back. The injuries on the Angel were almost healed, and she was passed out, so Kaura just carefully pulled the stone away. "I am sorry... Matrix needs this..." She whispered, and ran hour again, going to the small room that Cal carried Catrix to. She stood in the doorway, eyes wide and worried. "Will he be okay?" She asked quietly, holding out the stone for him.

Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal was impatient today, with the masters and with the disobedient slave. Moving away from Matrix. "Kaura!" He called as he turned. "Where is that...?" Stopping short as he realized she was right there. Taking the stone from her hand, he placed it on Matrix's chest and stood. "He seems to just be exhausted for the most part. The stone will heal what ever there is to heal, otherwise just rest. You will check on him, bringing him his meals whether he's awake or not so that he has food and drink when he wakes. You will also attend to the shop as normal."
Moving away from the sleep slave and his Elf, moving back to the door. Stepping out and holding out the key for Kaura to take and lock the door when she leaves. The regular spells were in place already. As he left the room, he noticed one slave staring at him. "Kyoko, isn't it? Did you want something or do you just like to stare?" he asked her.

Kyoko sat watching what was going on she perked her ears up to hear the conversation better. She spaced out a bit then heard a voice her eyes automatically darting straight to Cal. "Y-yes...it's Kyoko." She lowered her ears and looked up at him shyly. "W-well umm... I was just...looking around." She blurted out quickly. Kyoko glanced backwards then at Cal. "S-sorry for starring at you..." She looked at the cage ground expecting to be hit like her father did when she starred at him.

Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal just smiled and walked away. "Starring isn't nice, you know," he said. Going back to the front counter he pulled out the files of each slave. They were always made before, during, or after they have been in the shop, depending on the circumstances and how long they are in the shop. The files contained their rough birthdays and ages, breed, sex, height, weight, health status, when they have been in the shop and how many times and who they were purchased by previously, if anyone.
Shuffling through them, he sighed. He had seen many slaves come through here and was sure that not only would he see more, but that many of them would be just as mistreated as the one before if not worse. It is very rare that he gets new ones or that he gets ones that are never mistreated. The fact that he punishes them when they disobey does not escape his train of thought. Sometimes punishment is necessary though, like that of raising a child.

Kaura stayed with Matrix for a bit, watching as he slept before standing and moving to get him dinner. THere should be something in the kitchen he could eat... And sure enough she managed to fish out several fresh fruits, a few good leftover meats, and several vegitables. She put them on a platter and placed then on the stand next to Matrix with a glass of water. A brief pause to glance at him, and she left again, moving to stand next to Cal. "Do you need my help, Master?" She asked quietly.

Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal looked over at his Elf and sighed. "There are a lot of files to update. Every single slave in this shop needs their file updated. The little neko over there needs a file period," he said. Dividing the stack in half, he handed it to her. "I'll do half and you can do half. But first, why don't you get dinner out to everyone." He wasn't overly concerned about the files, they would get done eventually and definitely before the day was done.

Kaura nodded, and glanced at the clock. It had gotten late, almost time for closing, and yet it felt like just a minute or two had passed since lunch.
She looked back at Cal and smiled timidly. "Master... I can't cook." She reminded him gently.

Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal smirked and spoke. "There is stew back there already simmering to keep it warm. All you have to do is serve it up in bowls and hand it out," he said gently to her. "Don't worry, I will be teaching you how to cook soon enough. Now shoo." Turning back to the files in his hand, he started to go through and update them, making a new for Kyoko. Cal was starving as well, but he would wait for everyone else to be served tonight before he touched it.

She nodded and bowed. "Of course Master." The smell of lunches stew was still heavy in the air, she didn't notice te fresh aroma. A richer and meatier meal now.
She grabbed several bowls, and lined thenup. First she served one for Cal, knowing the first scoop of soup was much better than the last. She could have that for herself.
She usually had a softspot for children, andnow was no exception. She snuck a few peices of sweet fruit on Kyoko's tray before setting off to serve everyone. She even put in a large bowl for the Angel locked away in the back rooms, covering it with a bmetal dome to keep it warm and fresh when she awoke.
When everyone was given their food she returned to Cal, setting his bowl between him and his papers. "You should eat." She said gently.
She stepped back quickly, and looked around, trying to see if any of the slaves needed her attention now.

"Thanks." Conroy said, taking the bowl gratefully. He was very hungry by now considering that he was returned before he got a chance to eat. He ate the stew quickly, but still not quite savegly. Conroy finished every last bit and sat down growing tired as the day crept further into night.

Kora: Slave Kora was dragged into the shop, groggy and out of it from a heavy sedative she was given as she had been taken from Jackson's home. As the handlers walked into the shop, they immediately took her to the back cages and placed her inside. They did not want her snapping out of it while they were talking to Cal or Kaura. They put her in the exact same cage she had been in before, cuffing her wrists to the top of the cage and letting the chain to the back of the cage attach itself back to her collar.
Returning to the front, they bowed at Cal and spoke. "We have been ordered to return her here. She has been given a heavy sedative and will be out of it for quite some time still. All we want is the refund and we will be on our way."
Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal was just about to thank Kaura for the stew when he looked up as he saw two handlers drag Kora back into the shop. Standing from his stool he watched them take her back to her cage and close it. The cage locked automatically as well as the chain attaching itself. As they returned to him he arched one brow. Without saying a word, he handed them the money and shooed the from the shop.
"Kaura, go check on her and make sure she's alright, be ready to help her eat when she comes out of sedation and make sure everything is secure. The locks and chain," he told her. Sitting back down he flipped open Kora's file and read through. It explained everything about her. Her family, how she was taken, everything.

Kaura's eyes widen. What was Jackson doing, returning his slaves? And in such condition! She barely even needed Cal's order, already moving to the back of the shop while Cal took the money. She did make sure all the locks were secure before sinking to her knees in front of the Neko, waiting for her to rouse so she could get her the last of the soup. Kaura left it in the pot to keep warm for herself, but with Kora here... It would not be the tastiest part, but filling none the less. er own stomach growled loudly, but she ignored it, vowing to grab an apple when she was done.

Kora: Slave Kora groaned groggily from her position, slowly stirring. As she tried to bring her hands to her face, she started to wake up a little more. That was unusual. Slowly opening her eyes, she was able to tell that her hands were bound to the top of the cage. Opening them further she noticed that she was back in the shop and startled completely awake, tossing around in the cage to find the chain attached to her collar once again. "No!" she called out in anguish. Looking around with wide eyes to see the Elf sitting in front of her. "How'd I get here!" she demanded of her. "Why?!"
Cal: Master and Shop Owner Cal watched as Kaura sat in front of the other Kora's cage, smiling a little at the concern he could feel she had for the girl. It was quite amazing how much the little elf could feel. As he looked back at his papers, he sighed. He had just started to write as he heard commotion and a scream, looking up at the girl and then back down at his smeared paper. Standing he walked back over to her. "Kora, hush. Jackson's handlers dropped you off. Be still so Elf can give you food, I can hear your empty stomach from here," he said. "Or I will have you sedated like you were when they brought you in and you won't have any voice to who does and doesn't take you from this shop." He was dead serious. He was also willing to put her in the back and give her the punishment he had given his Elf earlier. Only he wouldn't feel bad about it as she was the only one in the shop that it wouldn't be the first time with him.

Kaura jumped slightly as Kora woke, and rushed to get the food. She poured the last of the stew into a large bowl, and brought it back out just as Cal finished lectuing Kora. He sounded like he meant every threat, and he very likely did.
"Please be still..." Kaura whispered, and brought the spoon to Kora's mouth. "I am just here to take care of you..."

Conroy sat and watched the drama unfold intently, but not amused. "My guess is Jackson got bored of you." he told the paniced neko. He seemed strangely calm considering he just witnessed someone be dragged in here and chained. He shrugged and hoped that she would just calm down if for nothing else to avoid torture from Cal.
