My best friend lost a grandparent earlier tonight. That makes both on one side of his family. The other one passed away not even 6 months ago, which in turn was about a month after another relative on the other side of his family died.
This has been one really shitty year for him. Add to that it being 9/11, which the government is ever so eager to remind us of that tragedy every year...
I'm really bummed out now.

and i agree about the government and the media having to remind us about the 9/11 tragedy. it`s not like we`ll ever forget, but they don`t need to reopen old wounds by televising the attacks and untold documentaries about it all day long..
that`s jus as bad as when i went to ground zero a few years back, and people were handing out fliers with pictures of the towers burning.
but in complete sincerity, i hope your friend finds better fortune soon.
