Toharu looked at Zahara for a while, tilting her head and trying to think. She didn't relaly udnerstand what else she would need ebsides the name of the location, right? She leaned over again and whispered into Raziel's ear, who was still blushing fiercly.
"She sayd were the surface meets the underground, near the lover's statue."
One dagger was stopped by Mason's chainmail, the other made it through his shoulder, but luckly missed anything important. Before Mason could pull the dagger out, there was a loud and rining clang as Jafar's blade struck his half-helm. Something he'd made himself, and to be honest this wasn't how he wanted to test it.
Roaring furiously, he pulled his axe free and swung wildly. "It's your last aday alive, the day you tangled with a dwarf!"

Jafar defelected the axe strike using a parry with his sword, then oddly enough, his head struck out from his body, his neck extending to reach the disance. His teeth aimed for the flesh on the dwarf's face, fang seemed to produce themselves near impact, the venom sprayed from his mouth as his attack continued. That was not the whole of his movement either, the length of his legs suddenly adopted a more slender look, as they became two great tenticle like tails. "Vengence sssssssssssssshal be mine."
The Greed continued his relentless attacks, his magic taking effect, causing his mass to blurr over a great area. The poor halfling could not defeat this spell with anything beyond luck, which he currently found himself short on. The halfling felt many hits from tenticles and claws, and his only relief came in the form of his trusty mount. Any guard who entered the room quickly found himself dead.

That small phrase was mulled over in her mind for a moment before she nodded, "Thank you very much Toharu, your help is greatly appreciated." The phrase was repeated in her mind so she wouldn't forget it before she could relay it to Malik and Piper. She gently ran her finger over the little faerie's head, tousling her hair lightly and then glanced at Raziel, "Is there anything else that she might need to tell us?" Her lips twisted briefly as she continued to try to decipher the clues that Toharu had revealed to them. "Thank you for your hep as well Raziel, I don't know what I would have done without you." Smiling softly at Toharu she said, "Would you like to stay with me for a little while? You can sit on my shoulder or in my hand or even in my lap if you want. That way you won't have to go back down there in that creepy basement again. Would you like that little one?"

Roarek, half pup half human in his lap, took a seat. "Hello Kieran. Wonderful day for a party." He looked tired and beaten. "We lost quite a bit, but I think the garden might be okay." The onyl good news he could think of beside, "and no casualties. We evecuated the acadmey long beofre Tanudnra hit us."
Razile shrugged. "I couldn't have said no, not after what's been done to her." He stood and helped Toharu to stabd, who stood too close to him for comfort.
Toharu grabbed a hold of one of Zahara's fingers and didn't let go, that was answer enough. She still wouldn't talk out loud, but that action spoke as loud as any words would have.
Agile dwaves were not, and while he wasn't able to dodge all of the snake-man's attack (which now menat he had some poison running thorugh his system..and prayed it was not a fast acting poison..or one the melted him form the inside) he was able to bring his ax handle up under the thigns chin. "Vengence? WE'RE the one ones gettin' vengence on ye forattachin' the king!'
Usha was hiding behind a pillar, hoping that she was staying out of the way enough to not get killed or get someone else killed.

That tiny gesture she made was plenty for Zahara who gently lifted her into her palm and then carefully handed her the clothes she'd pulled off and carefully helped the little faerie redress herself, then waited for Raziel to hop in her hand as well. Once again cupping both faeries in her hands, she slowly made her way out of the bathroom. The slaves could take care of the remnants of both Toharu's bath and the plate of food. She walked back to the living room and this time took a seat in one of the chairs so as not to tip the little ones to the floor but first she dropped Raziel off with Kieran and then sat down, waiting for the others to finish their conversations before she said anything. There was someone new in the house and she merely watched him for a moment, Toharu still held in her palm.

((LEts just say he's a dwarf and will be in bed for a couple weeks after this.))
Jafar took the hit, and his heat recoiled. "That venom will rot your bones." Jafar's arms melted into his body then, the sword dropping to the ground, the legs melted into one, the snake form was complete. He had lost what remained of his vengeful self in this form, and he despritely clung to its power. THe body moved with the speed of any great snake, and wraped about the dwarf, trying to squeeze the life out of it.
The displacer beast caught the scent of the girl cowering and decided that she would be his, so he began to play the halfling away from that pillar.
But, much to the Greed's distain, and shugrin, the halfling countered this maneaver with an all out assult. His paladin and heroism demanded that he protect the damsil in distress, no matter the cost to himself, which at the rate he was going, was probably going to be his end. He cared not, for a moment. Then it hit him, much like the bricks thrown by the older boys when he was a lad. IF he died, his father, Don Thefhand, would not send the food aid here. "MUST SAVE GIRL!" He began, "MUST LIVE FOR PEOPLE!" HE gruntd under the wieght of the next attack, "MUST DEFFEND WORLD."

((I was gonna ask...))
"Not 'afore I shatter yer own!" And then the snake form and the fact that he got caught up in that. Being a dwarf, hell he just reached down and bit the snake, he shook his head like a dog and tore out a good sized chunk of flesh, all the while wriggling and working the small spikes on his light armor into the snack's body.
Usha watched helplessy, wanting to do something but being unable to do so. In a spur of corage, she picked up a piece of rubble and hurrled it at the snack, trying to hurt it or distract it, she didn't know. It just felt better than sitting there doing nothing.

The snake bit at the dwarf repidly, only glancing away for a moment when a piece of debris smaked him in the face, "Don't you throw brickssss at my face." His body was torn by the spikes, which only made him bite at the dwarf more frequently.
The beast and halfling dueled onwards.

He roared in frustration, because he wasn't about to admit that he was roaring in pain. But the snke turing briefly loosened things up just enough for Mason to pull his ax free, which he then sunk into the snakes neck. Er...or w part closer to the head...he supposed snakes were all neck.

Thunk, the head fell free from the body, which began to reach as dead bodies do.
The Greed noted it after a moment, and then simply launchd himself at the entrance and burst for freedom, much to the demise of any who steped in his way.
The halfling fell over, and breathed heavily.

Mason fought free from the dead snake body only too keel over ont eh floor, the bit of poison finally taking affect. "I'll just sleep it off..." and he passed out.
Usha simply sat beside the pillar with a sigh of nervous reliefe. She would have to thank her saviors later, when it was more appropritae.

Malik was quiet, and spoke not a word for a long bit.
"Tanundra needs to be destroyed, or have more controls place upon his person. It really is that simple. If all an enemy needs do is take the Oracle, to set that dragon into insanity. She'll become the target of every dark empire within miles. My own actions against Deepwater not withstanding, I don't want a lunacy ridden dragon to deal with."
Yes, Malik had his own trade embargos on Deepwater, for Jiscal's refusal to even answer his letter/demand with a no. anyplace that Malik had 'sold' his 'temporary workers'...in order to keep the help they often needed desperatly, thier only rule was thier crops or goods did not go to Deepwater.
After all, asking for a choice seat and the ability to influence policy was not too much he thought for giving food to a starving kingdom. thanks to the Andal gate, adn his deals with and through Piper's parents, he had the food to offer. stubborn humans.
"Though your garden survived, which is pleasent...what about your work? the library, your materials for the students and yourself? the coq dragons, your extra defensive devices you had on display. these coudl be of greater use right now."
Onyx just followed Whirlwind with that 'sure you did' look, but didn't argue the point. though a sniff to teh air told him both potential parties were already here. how nicely convenient for them.
"Roarke is here already. so both of our potential information sources are here. that makes this a bit easier..but it makes me wonder as to why Roarke is here. Shouldn't he still be at the academy?"

"Is it now? I wouldn't know, for the day is lost on me in the Underdark." Quite clearly, Roarke was trying to make that idle conversastion that relieves stress, and avoid current problematic issues all together. "I'd say that's fairing far better than what could of happened. Dragons do have thier tendencies to easily destroy things."
A shift in attention as Zahara came back, the drow handing off Raziel back to Kieran, which he was glad to take his friend back, letting him sit in his palm as blue tinged fingertips of the other pet at his wings a moment. He smiled at Raziel, then a nod and smile at Zahara, seeing as she seemed to have the other quite comfortably.
A jab at Malik. "Quit jumping to the destroying things first policy." She rolled her eyes, really sometimes he jumped his guns with the 'kill it first' thing. Oh well he was Malik, and she was a bit guilty of it herself. But he had done it first so there. But a smile first to Kieran and Raziel, then to Zahara and Toharu, it was good to see that the little faerie was just fine...or fine as she could be right now. Piper knew first hand that that kind of traumas weren't easy to get over. But a look back to Roarke. "QUite a good thing that it did...about the only real greenery in the entirety of this place. Not to mention it was just generally enjoyable." Though the mention of coq dragons made her think of her own two...they often skulked about and played door guards. Usually they liked to hang out in the supply rooms, sleeping on crates.

"Destroying a problem doesn't make it go away," said Roake in Tanundra's defense. "Besides, most people can't communicate with that dragon, if he were to go crazy on a populated town, no one would understand why. As far as we know, he's never acted like this with anyone but the First before, he's never attached himself to the others as he did Meilikki." He shrugged, "I don't really blame him. For someone who lives forever, it's difficult to see the things you love be torn from you."
A nod to Keiran in appreciation.
He shrugged again. "We can probably recover quite a bit form the rubble, right now it's too unstable to venture into. Though I fear my library was destroyed. Any defenses I had made can be remade, and the coq-dragons...well I believe they should be joining us shortly."
"Roarke's here?" she frowned, then shrugged it off. "he's a busy guy, and he gets around fast. I'm sure he's just here on business.
Raxiel settled easily on Keiran's palm, enjoying the pet before crawling up the elf's arm to his prefered spot on his shoulder. "Things went smoothly," he said quietly.
Toharu wrapped herself in her wings, peaking out from behind them and shivering a little bit.

"Actually, destroying a living, breathing problem does make it go away. and it doesn't matter whom can understand him, or why. what matters is he's a signifigant threat to everyone. and don't think for a second that the Drow Empire is not aware of Tanundra or the Oracle, and thier collaboration. whomever has the Oracle, hold Tanundra in tighter chains that even his lessers used to bind him."
Pointing over at Zahara.
"That fairy belongs to Laudi, a Wizen Tower member. she also makes a wonderful spy, as these are bred to record all things going on around them with perfect memory. Laudi at present, is completely dead save for the most basic functions of life. but being as how Laudi is in my care, I could in theory make that little fairy do anything I choose, by way of threatening her mistress. the same goes for Tanundra. However, Tanundra was more dangerous when in an induced instanity, thus Dimitri took pains to sever the Oracle from him."
then a glance back at Roarke.
"So even if we find him, or shoudl I say when we find him, we still have the very real chance that he will turn Tanundra directly agasint us through her. which means we need to be prepared to be able to end Tanundra if needed, or at least defend against his raw power."
Back to idly caressing Piper.
"But first, I need to speak to Ton and Eca. I want to know why thier damned sword didn't do what it was supposed to do. but I have a feeling that this 'Right Hand' of his, and that same technology or magic they used to breed the souless has something to do with it."
Then another thought occured to him.
"The Oracle, Bode, the skinny mageling..you. those are teh only four he has either captured or directly been after. he baited and lured you to him before. he's tkaen the oracle twice, he kidnapped both bode and that mage. there must be some reason, something in common that made him want these particular people. We'll have to find the thread that binds them."
Then a grin to Piper and a kiss.
"Sorry. buisness thoughts all done now."
