She didn't even have time to think before she was screaming. On the floor, with one hand bracing herself against the tile, she was too frightened to even get up and run.

The Greed pounced at Jiscal before the secret compartments began to explode with movement. The honour guard's elite stumbled into the room, only to see the snake-like creature launch itself at the girl.

"I'll be tak'n her." The creature snaped an arm out faster than the guards could fallow, and watched as a series of blades slashed into the nearest men. THe creature quickly grabed the girl (NPC) and jumped back down the hole.

The cat bit at Jiscal's neck, and tried to clamp on, but it's instincts forced it to abandon the prey and retreat into the hole after the Snake. THe Spears may have hurt too much for the beast to handle. It's displacement trick would not work to well holding prey.

Zahara chuckled when Raziel blushed turning purple and flipped around to ensure Toharu had privacy. The little giggles made Zahara smile and she watched fondly as the two faeries helped themselves to the food. She politely waited until the little one had enough to eat and then said softly, "Feel better Toharu?" Pausing she cleared her throat and then launched back into it, "Now we really really need your help. Do you know where the lich is little one? Can you tell us? I told you before that we need to destroy it once and for all so it can't hurt anyone else. Will you help me do that? He's just going to talk to you. We aren't going to force you to do anything." Watching her closely, her eyes begging her to help, her voice full of urgency and the need for the knowledge she had. "Raziel, continue trying to get her to talk but be gentle, she's been through quite a lot."

Raziel nodded. "Yeah, I know." He helped Toharu to sit down, and she seemed to listen tp Zahara and consider this very deeply. She looked uncertain though. As much as she wanted to help, her current master wasn't dead yet, which emant she shouldn't be elaking information. But then...telling them would help hurt the one that had hurt her master...

After a little more talking from Raziel, keeping his voice calm and talking to her about normal things in between asking her for answer to give her time to think about it all. Evetually, she crawled close to raziel in the space invading way she did and whispered in his ear.

"She says he's in the 'land of the dead.'

Usha couldn't bring herself to scream after that first time it escaped her lips. She was much to frightened that her captrue would just whack her over the head to shut her u if she did. She settled for silent tears while trying to struggle free. Where were they going? Why was she taken? She just wanted to go home! She wished Gerard was here.

Silly human gaurds you may be able to pull the wool over, but a halfling and a dwarf? Fat chance. Mason was in the entrence hall, and he just happened to be a dwarf. And dwarves always carry around axes. A quick swing of the handle and he was able to trip up at least one of the running assailents.

"I be reckoning that you're stayin' the night now." And kicked the guy in the groin. He wasn't nromally cruel...but this city tended to make his fuse short.

Mason snatched the girl up from the floor, and with a quick toss she was out of the way. His axe was on a path to his enemie's head, when Gil shouted adn threw his aim off,w hich instead burried his axe deep into the tile floor beside Jafar's head. "Darn ye, ye damn halfling! Now my axe's got a notch in the blade!"

The snake like creature took advantage of the situation, and struck out with his hands, each ending with dagger like claws to scewer the dwarf. After the almost half hearted attack, the creature rolled to a standing possition and drew out a slender long sword and sliced through the air where the dwarf's head was.

The six legged cat released his grip on the halfling and leaped across the hall, and burried all of the guard with a fury of attack, whcih more or less took care of them all. The creature was pouncing back across the room within the same few seconds, right back at the hobbit.

"I HAVE THE POWER TO DEFEAT YOU!" The halfling's hand eminated with a sharpe glow, and he drew out the short sword he wore on his belt. The blade glew with a holy light, as the creature neared, the blade worked towards it, only for the hobbit to discover that this beast didn't use all its weapons from the front in an assult. The two tenticles wraped about the paladin's body from overhead, and cassually fliped the creature across the room.

The halfling screamed in defiance, but landed softly thanks to the aid of his trusty stead, "You should be more careful, kid." Braver told the Halfling. This riding dog had a unique talent. He could teleport.
