I'd like to get the new 360, but I'm waiting to see if my xbox goes bust first
I wonder if it goes built-in with Blu-Ray, like the PS3...

Why would it?
A DVD-rom player and Blueray player are mechanically different, they are not compatible. Xbox 360 games are stored on DVD-roms.
Sony took a gamble when they released the PS3 using that newly introduced technology, storing their games on Bluerays, which although they are more resilient, and capable of storing far more content,(Example, FFXIII was 3 disc on the 360, one on the PS3) this is offset by the fact that games are much more expensive to produce to specifications that utili the Bluerays capabilities.
In a few years, Blueray will be the new thing everything will come on, like the DVD player in the turn and start of the century.
The only thing the new 360 has is built-in wireless adapter, a new, more efficient chipset and cooling system, it has the input for Kinetic, larger internal HDD(its removable like the PS3) and its shiny and will be covered in fingerprints after the first week of ownership.
That being said, I'm getting one after the current generation's bugs are worked out.

I wasn't sure what all it would have.
But it does answer this. Instead of coming out with new systems, the big players are all busy refining theirs. First was Sony with the PS3Slim. Now Micro has the 360-2.
We're all wondering when Nintendo comes out with their update.
