Naruto didn't know he had the nine-tails in him for a long time, maybe you could just say it was sealed and that the sealing mark was just a birth-mark, or so he thought.

I thought the seal on Naruto's stomach only popped up when he was using the demons chakra or a cast amount of chakra, or any chakra at all.

Naruto, although knowing he had the demon, thought of himself as any other kid, just that they were mistreating him. Naruto doesn't see himself as an outsider til' others treat him that way.

Naruto didn't know about the demon, everyone else DID because the demon attacked the village. Just say he didn't know he had the demon in him til some rp experience you can easily have your char go through in your next fight. Problem solved.

I have the tendency to pick-up the accent when I'm around my cousins.
