Jay Jay Jay let's have a chat, it's going to be cheaper to have your Xbox replaced, around 100 bucks maybe a bit more. Plus I'm sure you are aware of ALL the problems people are having with Skyrim on the PS3 so why deal with all that fuss? Sure you will have to wait about 2 more weeks for the round trip of your Xbox to the repair center and back.
eh....got a ps3 160g new for $160 including tax so that will help offset the price of games which I am trying to sell on 360....I know tis' cheaper and if it was up to me I would have sent it off or bought a new one refurbished from gamestop for $119 but as is my husband REALLY wanted to get a ps3 and I kinda caved. >< I have decided to resolutely hold on to my external hard drive of my xbox 'JUST IN CASE' what that means I have no idea.... a friend, a future xbox...I dunno. I just can't give it up. All those hours. And actually i'm kinda sheltered so I don't know about all the excess problems the ps3 has for skyrim as opposed to xbox... yay... ugh... well thinks for the heads up at least. (despite that though after three weeks + of not playing skyrim I am excited to pick up a copy for $35 tomorrow from someone off craigslist) And yes I know I am sheltered - what is the joke about 'winter is coming' ? Because I live in Kansas city and we have had less then a quarter of an inch of snow all winter and its looking like we won't be getting any more....
WAAAT? Be like Elyia don't give into the pressure lol.
The PS3 has some horrible lag that builds up as your save file gets bigger. I'm not sure if its been fixed yet or not.
As for "Winter is Coming" those are the words for House Stark, one of the "main" lord families from George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" books. There are 7 of them with 1-5 being released already. The Stark's like in the north of the Continent collectively called The Seven Kingdoms. Were summers and winters can last for years. Even during the longest Summers the Starks are always wary of the Winter that is sure to come. The books are very good, they are written in 3rd POV of the main characters. You wont be sorry that you read them.

Ah I see. Thank you for enlightening me. Gah. So....got skyrim for ps3 today. Tried to remake Eliya. I say tried because I don't like what I got as a result. And I am just talking about appearance. It's annoying because I have this picture in my head of what Eliya looks like (pretty much the pics in my guild) and I couldn't get anything close to what I wanted. My issue I think is because the Altmer's and other mer folk have a much more alien and distinct look this time around then in oblivion. I tried messing around with a female altmer's face to look less striking ect and had green eyes and red hair....but the red hair is either dark almost maroon or light brownish red....perhaps its sad that I care so much about her appearance but I absolutely loved my Nord, Lady Kara. She was a blue eyed blonde and gorgeous. Ugh. Well anyways I tried my best to create Eliya and made my way down to the standing stones . Picked mage. I spent like an hour working on her. Not shocking as that is average time for me. But I'm walking down the mountain expecting to feel the last time I did...and... the newness, the awesomeness I was expecting to feel isn't there. Instead I look up at the screen and instead of level 46 or w/e I was before, I see level 1. And my stomach just sinks. Course I can go about playing this game a completely different way then I first did and I surely will, focusing on different factions, joining a different side, actually completing the main quest line ect. I just....I don't know. I think I actually need a longer break from skyrim which sounds crazy since I've been craving it for nearly a month. Perhaps it is a good time to finally play DA 2 again. That means buying a copy. Anyways rant rant rant rant. Sorry. Also so quick question - in regards to downloading the patches released for ps3 thus far....simply hook up an ethernet cable and what? Sorry I'm kinda ignorant about certain things.

Um I guess the PS3's connection works in the same way as Xbox Live does, although the PSN...now soon to be called SEN is free to use, though it's been hacked a number of times as well.
Anyone else here play on the PS3 that could give Jay a better answer???

I don't know if I might have to go stay somewhere else where I won't have access to the internet so if I go off for a time it's probably that.

Jaydine Also so quick question - in regards to downloading the patches released for ps3 thus far....simply hook up an ethernet cable and what? Sorry I'm kinda ignorant about certain things. "Yeah, connect up, and I think you made need to make a PSN account. Then it'll tell you have to update, then for getting the game patches themselves, if you start up the game while online it'll force you to update."
