She finally found the sheath and put the sword in it. It was small and it could be seen that it was made for a child. She held onto it and walked over to where he was. "That's were we run into problems. We don't know where she went after portaling."

he stood there and rubbed his chin. "the question is where she teleported to. i would guess it would either be somewhere in angelus or here. if thats the case i can find her in either one though there is the possibility she has acceses to another demension."

She thought about it herself and looked around. "She wouldn't go back to Angelicus. She knows that she's wanted there. And she knows you have that sense of smell. If she was still here, she would be far away where we couldn't find her and I don't know if she has access to other dimensions. I would think she would be able to."

he looked at her. "that what kind of worries me. when it comes to angel demons, i really don't know what to expect. there is something i can do.. kind of."

She looked at him curiously. "What is it, hun?" She didn't know where he was going with this and it only intrigued her more.

"see, when portals are use they also give off a smell. whenever i go through a portal, theres that one second where i can smell things. for example, when we teleport to my place i smell you, me and the kids. now if i opened a portal in this general area where devana opened her's i may be able to find out where she teleported to."

She squinted her eyes a bit. "That wouldn't work. Yes, you can smell the portal and know who made it, but you can't determine where it went. That's impossible."

he shruged a bit and looked at her. "then lets look at this at another way. she's got a broken arm right. she can't heal that on her own. raine broke it pretty damn good. now who would fix her arm when she's an outlaw?"

"She would have to get it mended in a place that didn't know her, so that crosses out Angelicus. It's been a day, though. She could have already went to a doctor anywhere and could be hiding by now." She crossed her arms and still held onto the sword in her hand.

he thought about it and things wasn't looking good. it seemed like there were stuck in an impossible situation. "yea. your right. man, she's a slippery one." he rubbed his chin and thought hard, trying his best to figure out what to do.

Mari thought about it herself. The only thing that she was sure of was that Devana was persistant and that would cause her to show up eventually. She just didn't know what she would have planned for the next time.

"She won't come out until that arm is healed and with different races and healing abilities, that could be anytime between now and three months." She looked up at the starry night sky and continued to think of how they could find her.

All Mari could do was shrug and continue to think. There was always the possiblity that she was watching them for a long time since they weren't looking out for her. Now that she knows they're looking for her, she might not even be close.
