A glance at Piper. oh he was going to get smacked. though he gestured for them to gather sit down, the furniture having been replaced back to where it was.
"in the Necromancer laboratory. they are making sure both Laudi and her familiar are being kept alive. necromancy is not just an art of death, but bending the line between the living and the dead. thus they can keep the living alive, and the dead animated."
Settling down, and gesturing for some of the slaves to gether food and others drinks.
"So. lets here this story about Piper and the Ferret."
"So..Dimitri serves teh sky father. start dabbling and trying to get more powr than teh sky father wants him to have. sky father brings this dragon to life, to beat him down...which is why now he wants souless beings. that way the father doesn't get angry with him."
A grin.
"Sounds like a good start. this Morgan the White..is there anyway you think to communicate with it? My brother inherited more along my father's line in powers...perhaps he can try it?"

She rolled her eyes at his answer. It figured, but couldn't be grudged. But as furniture was moved and seats taken, she decided that Malik was to be sharing his chair because she wanted to be close to him right now, though a hand was slipped behind him, idly rubbing at the sore spot on his lower back. "This is going to be humiliating."
Indeed cloak handed off and seat taken. Kieran was always easy to settle in to any place really, and this place was old familiarity and that made it all the easier to settle. "Whatever is necessary right?" A look to Raziel. "Try not to think too ill of it." To calm his friend before he reacted badly to that little bit of information.
But a chuckle from Kieran as he recalled things from long past, and he measured some height on the floor. "She was about this big when it happened. She was with me for the month and I had taken her on a ramble. Well when we stopped for lunch, it happened that a little ferret came along, near the peninsula border. She decided she wanted to feed it and it decided to crawl all over it. It went all good...till it tried to take her cinnamon sticks."
He paused a moment, chuckling at the pictures he could clearly see in his head. "As we all know...she wasn't going to give up up. In her effort to hide it, she dropped it down her shirt. The ferret followed. Next thing I know, she's freaking out and trying to fish the thing out all the while running around in a circle screaming. Do you know how hard it is to catch a little elf...and then fish out a ferret. Thing wouldn't let go of her shirt. Though explaining to her mother why she was all scratched and chewed up was...interesting..."

Malik did get a chuckle out of that, and a few of the slaves even risked a smile or two. well that was quite the mental image, wasn't it.
"So..even at a young age she was a cinnamon hog."
Another chuckle, and a shake of his head, tousling her hair lightly.
"I can imagine that explaination. and I'm sure Fianna gave you quite an earful about it as well. So piper, did you learn you lesson about being greedy with your cinnamon?"
A smile and a kiss, and another little chuckle. that image was just too funny.

Raziel didn't look too happy about that, but with Kieran's instruction he let it go and settled on the elf's shoulder to here the story. It did make him chuckle a bit, even though he didn't know what a ferret looked like exactly, he was fairly certain it was a rodent of some kind.
"When your rebelios against mother, I guess you do anything to get back her. But if the Sky Father is no longer angry with Dimitri, then talking with the dragon may be difficukt." But she smiled, happy to be getting somewhere. "But it's worth a shot. Problem is finding Morgan's grave, and hope there are some of her bones left to connect her to this plane."
She read on a little bit. "She's from the surface world, so her grave would be...in the cavern ceiling. Probably near where Catawa lived."

And Malik got cuffed in the shoulder. "Cinnamon hog? That's so very nice of you..." Said in that sarcasm dripping tone. Then a little noise of protest at his hair messing. "Hey, I spent all morning on that." Thus taking off her circlet and pulling her fingers through her hair to straighten it out once more before settling her circlet back on, pulling her hair out where it all had been before. "And do you think I have?" She gave her own little chuckle, but only because Malik's mood had continued well. Seemed these days that was her self appointed job, to keep him from being nuclear.
"I stick by my excuse. It's Fianna's fault that Pip takes to cinnamon. I will never understand how they both do it...considering how bitter or hot cinnamon can taste by itself. It's tree bark...so I always figured it made sense, wood elves and all." A chuckle. "But yes I did quite get my ears lectured off about dragging our daughter all over the whole of Lucanna. Of course she couldn't fault me on the ferret thing...seeing as Fianna let her play with any creature that was brave enough to come close."
"As she said, you shouldn't of let me feed it. So it was your fault." Piper gave a laugh, crossing her arms lightly. "I just learned to not stash it away in places that I didn't want invadrd is all."

"Well. in that case, it's a good thing us winged Vah are about, isn't it. kinda hard to get on the ceiling otherwise. But lets say we do fing Morgan the White. How would we convince the Sky Father to let us use his strength agasint Dimitri? I mean we may have a shot at talking to morgan..but I think the Sky Father is a bit out of our reach."
"I would say no. But at least you learned something. And why is it never thier fault? you women...if there's a male within thirty feet of you, it's not your fault. you shouldn't be feeding wild animals in the first place."
A tap on her nose.
"Even Tier'dal children know the difference between wild and domesticated. you don't feed the wild ones, and you glutton the domestic ones."

"And we'll have to find out where Catawa lived as well. Shouldn't be too difficult I suppose, seeing as how Ton and Eca seemed to roam a fairly tight area." But she shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe if we talk with Morgan, let her know what's going on, she'll tell the Sky Father. Maybe in his arrogence, Dimitri is still doing something that he wouldn't like."
"I'm domestic, and I'm not spoiled." As far as he could tell, at least." He was more or less background noise, which he found he always became in these sorts of happy banter situations. He didn't mind though. he was an observer afteral, here to act when his master needed it. Or in this case, when Malik and Piper needed him to talk with Toharu.

"Because men are brash and naturally looking to do something, barely being resserved. If one is around, then it is most likely thier fault for whatever has happened. And he let me feed it, didn't stop me." She crossed her arms lightly. "And I'm not Tier'dal remember? Well...not full anyway. I'm the exception to the rules."
"See, still blaming me. How can I resist the cute smile and the giggles, and want to break your heart by saying, 'no Pip, you can't feed the ferret.'. You see how mean that sounds?" Another chuckle before tilting his head some to allow for Raziel's wing twitching and what not that was quite common with the idle fairy. Motions to Raziel had become second nature to Kieran.
"Though that reminds me, I have a message for you Pip. Someone wanted me to tell you that it's not common that a feather tolerates the rain."
She seemed to perk up and brighten with a smile, the phrase familiar to her. A soft melodic laugh from her. "But silver ones enjoy its song. She knows? You weren't supposed to tell."
"Oh you know her, little palace sneak. Figures everything out on her own." Piper's old partner in crime. Then a chuckle and a slight turn of his head to Raziel. "You are indeed very spoiled, despite what you think my little friend." Indeed he was, always being pet and lavished upon and if his little heart or head desired to know or see something, Kieran usually gave it to him or took him there.

"Tell whom? this another little hidden away friend of yours, Piper?"
Though he was a bit concerned. after all the last 'friend' she had come to look for her was he who shall not be named again. But a female..that's more likely an actual friend..but women were a bit more vidictive, weren't they.
"and you're not a Tier'dal, I know. just pointing out that Tier'dal wouldn't have thought to feed the ferret in the first place. that whole, it's a wild animal, and it may do something nasty to me thinking."
A slight chuckle.
"And what does the mystery girl know? her whereabouts? or her marriage to be?"
"Or he's doing exactly what the Sky Father wants him to do. But still worth a shot. any other information in there about potential leads? I mean Morgan may be a big help, but we'd still have to find him before we coudl unleash a dragon on him."
A glance at her, so very close. he could smell everything about her, every scent. the salty sea of shiptravel, the scents of her excitement an dher fears..and her own natural scent as well. Made his mind want to wander to other things. Bad Onyx. you know better.
"Think maybe those maps we had before might help? in case there's no maps, just descriptions..we can try and pinpoint it witht he maps we have."

"Rainsong, by family." Yes she had caught Malik's look, seeing as she had been thinking that the Tier'dal would indeed go along that route of thiking. "No worries about her Malik, honestly. I was the trouble in that partnership. " A kiss for him to soothe down any worries of his. "And that's because like and good dark elves, your paranoia is unmatchable. Not to mention the wood elf in me couldn't help itself." A little chuckle at something she always teased on, leaning into him some.
"Merely that Pip is alive, well, happy, and still troublesome as ever. And that's all she asked of me and all I told. Though then there was the 'you really need to stop sneaking into rooms you don't belong' lecture. To which she rolled her eyes at me." Though he had decided that it was probably best to soothe anxieties Malik may be having. "A Rainsong is one you can trust Malik, been close to my own family as long as we can remember."

Raziel blinked as he shifted a wing. "Am I really? I didn't notice." Possibley the only thing that would ever escape his notice. It was his job to notice things. He climbed up the side of Kieran's head and plopped down on top, giving his master those strange headwings. It was really theonly place Raziel could stretch those wings to their fullest without hitting something.
She was too excited to realize how close she was to Onyx, or brood on her fear of men. All good things in retrospect.
"Well, I suppose that could be the case. but then, no god likes to look lik he's weaker than his followers right? Maybe we'd get help from him just to knock Dimitri down a peg or two." A little bit more reading. "She. Morgan is a she; at least Catwa here efers to the dragon as 'she'.
She nodded. "Good idea, bring the maps. Maybe someone like Malik, or Roarke would be able to understand them, even if we don't."

"Yes really you are." Of course the little guy didn't notice, he was too busy being so flattered and pleased with it all. Anyone would be, and he deserved it too. He was quite the helpful little creature. A fond smile as Raziel climbed up to his second favorite perch, letting wings splay as they may. It was a comical look from time to time, and got a stare or two the first time the behavior was displayed in rather important meanings. Though those smart enough knew not to say anything if Kieran didn't seem to mind, which he didn't. But by now it was common knowledge that Raziel accompanied Kieran.

Zahara was merely idling away time, lost in her own thoughts, her own little movies playing along in her mind. She refused to think of the way Sevilin had left her because that would destroy the happy and she didn't want the happy massacred just yet. Leaning on the table her chin in the palm of her hand and a daydreaming look on her face, she wasn't even working. Of course those books she'd taken from the library were stacked beside her and she could easily open them and make any one of the potions listed in the glossy pages...but she just didn't feel like doing so. No work for her today since she was far too mellow to concentrate. Indeed her mind kept drifting off into other places and she couldn't have followed a conversation if she had tried. The voices of the others floated into the dining room, hard not to as close as they were, and Zahara heard them all. Kieran was back...she remembered him briefly from the short span of time he was with Fianna. Piper's parents, how lucky she was and she really had no inkling of a clue. She stood, albeit slowly and closed the books, shoving them off to the side then came and lounged in the doorway, just watching, observing really, noting certain things and a small smile played about her lips. Family, it truly was a good thing to have.

Onyx nodded, and got himself up, though the odd way he was leaning bad him have to brace himself against her chair, and walkaed aroudn teh table to the map book, an dbringing it back over.
"mention any landmarks we might be able to trace on these maps?"
Malik chuckled and shook his head lightly.
"You both know me better than I would have ever thought. but you can't help the flicker of concern. after all, the last time an old friend came calling wasn't a good experience. but if you trust her, then I'll do my best on the subject. Although...this does give us another excuse for a visit to Andal, doesn't it."
then a glance at Zahara.
"How was your morning, Zahara?"

Both elves laughed lightly, Piper laying her head to Malik's shoulder, a hand coming to rest on his chest lightly. "You're not so hard to get a hold on when you let people in, A'mael. It's a good thing." Raising her head a moment to press a kiss to his cheek before laying it back to his shoulder. "And no, it wasn't...besides, I don't expect her to be butting in." Though she lifted her head once more and blinked at him. He did it again, mentioned visiting Andal...that seemed to be quite the topic on his mind, paying the place a visit. She though he had had his fill of the surface, apparently not. A soft smile at him before he called her attention to float to Zahara. "Hello my friend." And yes, she was still feeling guilty...a bad misinterpertation of her actions and Zahara could go off on her.
It was indeed amusing. "I most definately assure you Malik, Rainsongs are closer than you think. Almost family really. Reside in the palace and have high standing. You remember Lateef? He's her father." Indeed, Rainsongs and Silvercrests, and then an extra Silverfeather. Not to mention that they too were moon elves, and if anyone knew his people it was Kieran. Not to mention the whole 'things change' mentality he had instilled in them, and then Piper looked like one of them. Though his attention was turned to the drow as well, inquisitive as ever about them.
