Yeah, but you're just slacking.
I just don't know where to move with Katie at this point. I'm lacking incentive. Everyone has their own little plots happening at this point.

I've had nothing but good times with SC4 online.
'Cept for all the ranked matches against Astaroth players, who all use the same damn launch-into-the-air-then-throw combo.
Which are now fairly easy to win when you know when to block or jump.

I fought a Siegfried who won three matches by positioning himself at the edge of the ring, waiting until he had my attack timing down, and then doing the overhead flip throw to ring me out.
I've fought countless Cervantes that use the same high-low or high-mid change-up combo for three rounds straight.
Basically, everyone I've fought either uses a couple of cheap multi-height combos or is clueless and loses horribly. There is apparently no middle-ground, no one else ON THE ENTIRE INTERNET that plays legitimately, except for me? Seriously, 150 matches and I've met no one that is both a decent player AND makes use of a decent percentage of their character's movelist.
Whether I win or lose, it's just not fun to fight against the same move spammed over and over again. The fact that a "good" connection can still lead to horrible lag doesn't help matters, since I play characters like Yoshimitsu, Voldo, and Amy who need that split second reaction time.

I usually just play with friends or do non-ranked matches, since it's relatively free of the move spammers. Hell, I usually just avoid ranked matches in any game, because people just find the cheapest way to do something, then usually insult you because they have to be the best at something that doesn't really further them as a person.
Somehow I don't think "top ten in ranked GTA4" is going to do much for someone on their resume.
*Shrug*
I just have more fun creating weird characters and throwing them at people to see what their reactions are. If the weapon happens to be something I'm not bad with, I might actually win. When it reaches the point where the game stops being fun, I just put the controller down and do something else, particularly if it's other people that's causing the frustration.

Yeah, I'm a genuinely competetive person, possibly to a fault, hence the ranked matches and such, but I never forget that it's just a game and I want the other party to have fun too, which is why I religiously avoid blatantly cheap tactics in any game I play. Still, it sucks that no one in ranked play shares this mindset. It seems like the only people that don't move spam are so new to the game they haven't figured out how, yet, and they'll probably join their "elite" brethren soon enough.
