The Thunder Tyrant No, it is purple prose, and that's not a positive thing. It's generally too wordy, too verbose. It becomes unwieldy. Again, my opinion, but I'd say it fits the definition of purple prose pretty well. A lot of Commerce players have a tendency to overindulge in the use of ten-cent words, as the saying goes, and it unbalances the writing. Even as you just described it - overly long for self-indulgence - is an identifier of purple prose. Again, some people like it. Personally? I don't much care for it. But if he likes writing it, and finds people who enjoy reading it.. well, what's it matter? I don't care. Dude can write however he wants, I'll give a s**t if I ever find myself roleplaying with him for any period of time or having to sit down and grade a fight of his, in which case I might comment on it. Otherwise. don't much care. Dude can smoke all the weed he wants and write however he wants. Fas: I've never known Leo to be overly dickish towards other people, but then again I've only talked to him occasionally over the years. Maybe it is 'purple prose' in general. But it's a load of nonsense. All I saw was a lot of improper sentence structure and 'no no's' of writing. Such as using "her" twice in a sentence. Sorry, but anyone who knows anything about writing wouldn't have to do this... But try reading this out loud. Try reading the whole ******** post out loud, then when you realize how pathetically laughable this garbage is, you'll be more inclined to see my point of view. Also, I'm baked as s**t right now. I just want make a statement about functionality and quality of an RP when the posts are concise and more to the point. Basically, an RP post can objectively suck.

It's purple prose because it's overwritten, like I said. Too verbose. Ten cent words for a five cent purpose. Unwieldy.
Just my opinion, but like I said, if he likes to write that way, that's his prerogative. If people don't like it, they don't have to roleplay with him.

I tend to get riled up over these things, and I'm impatient with my posts. Plus I was what, 16 when I was last writing and I saw you? What did you expect? Purple Prose seems to be a good word for my style these days. I'm way too damned wordy for my own good. It's more likely a result that I haven't written anything for the last year or two outside of some RP that used word count as experience points. Think about what you have to do to progress: Have a wordy and extravagant writing style. You'll have to forgive me for that. It's going to take awhile before I can remedy this. And Visionarium, You can see I'm sucking balls in my writing. And I'm using a character I devised only recently. I apologize for this, but the fact is I haven't done anything practical in fighting or rp'ing for awhile. And I have NO ******** idea who you are....
