That narrowing of triple colored eyes at him. Kieran knew the story and no doubt he would tell Malik, with a grin on his face as he did so. Childhood incidents of playing with things better left alone. Memories that were amusing but horribly embarassed. But then she just laughed, taking to her food again for a moment so she didn't have to say anything for a few moments. "You just want to hear embarassing stories of messes I got myself into when I was little. Give yourself a good laugh." A shake of her head, setting her fork down on the edge of her plate and smiling at him fondly. "You just don't like the thought of other things in my clothes besides you."

A harsh slam of a door was the signal that someone wasn't happy. Another would be the yelp of a slave that was more or less tossed out of his way as the little human didn't get out of it fast enough. Sevilin was lack for a better term, pissed to hell. He couldn't believe what had happened earlier...and more so couldn't believe that he just let it happen. Stupid irrational thoughts.
Long purposeful strides took the still bed ruffled and touseld drow down the stairs, the front doors being slammed open as well as he left the place with a scowl. How could he let it happen...how? Now not only was he pissed, but he felt dirty as hell. A quick rune drawn and he found himself back home, undoing rune locks and slamming open and closed his own doors. Rational mind back in action he had a plan...first he would spend the rest of the day scrubbing a few layers of skin off and figuring exactly what the hell happened. Then whoever be the cause of it was going to pay. Most perferably in blood.

Malik got a grin at that, and nodded lightly, before hearing all the doors slamming and chuckled.
"Aww. someone doesn't apparently like to cuddle."
Then a most evil, drowish grin.
"But that also means things went exactly according to plan. soon enough, I won't need money to bind Sevilin, and then...then he'll understand what I mean when I demand respect for all parties of my house above his station."

Oh she was going to get her wrists broken. She had no doubt that Sevilin would soon figure out what happened...and she had been the only one to touch him yesterday. Though she didn't like the look Malik had on his features either. Though as usual she did her best to ignore it as per usual habit. "Shouldn't you not be assuming anything yet?" Malik always go over excited and overly eager when he felt things were going his way and all was well. Sure, he wasn't worried, but she was. Another aspect of her that screamed surface elf in the Underdark.

She took the book and forced out a smile. "Course not. Smacking is...fun, right?" She ran her hand over the cover of the book, wondering if they would find anything today, or if all of this book chasing was just a dead end. How muhc mroe time did Meilikki have? What if she was already dead?
"I'm still frightened."

"I did say I took precautions to nearly ensure a pregnancy. and he wouldn't be so pissed if they hadn't gone, as humans put it, 'all the way'. SO chances are, she's goign to be pregnant."
Then a lean back.
"And don't you be frightened of him. wether or not he blames you, he knows to get you he has to go through me. and I don't think he wants to try his luck just yet."
Onyx grinned lightly, and moved his hands along her arms to her shoulders, just squeezing a bit.
"It's okay to be afriad. in fact, it can be a good thing to feel fear. and we'll find her, and we'll get her back for you, no matter what it takes. I'll do anything, and everything in my power to help you, and even if it means giving my life, I will reunite you with the Oracle."
His eyes moved to hers, and held them.
"I won't let you down. not again. I coudln't protect you as I promised when we first met. but I will keep this promise. I will get you back with her."

"Chances are chances and nothing more. Chances are I could fall out walking and kill myself one day, or some Underdark thing could eat me." Yeah she wasn't loving his current little shift into drowness. But she only sighed, a hand reaching up to adjust her circlet for a moment, then tug at her collar. Though her attention snapped to him with a quite defensive look. "I am not afraid of him." In her moment of defensiveness she tapped her nails on the table a moment. "If I've learned anything from you it's that a drow will not care what he must go through if he feels his goal worth his life and his revenge delivered. Isn't that right?"

"That's true. but most drow also will not careless throw thier lives around, nor woudl he cut off his only source of work. not to mention, if I were to throw him out into the underfoot, he's got no where to go. the human cities won't trust him, and the halfelven culture will despise him. and he sure as hell won't go to the Llothian cities or culture. And since we control his only way off the plane, he gets tossed out on his rear, he's completely alone with no place to go."
A shrug.
"I didn't mean you were afraid of him, but you are afriad of what he might do concerning your relation to Zahara. I know it means a great deal to you. And I will protect that as best I can."

"Don't think yourself the be all and end all of his life here Malik. He's first and foremost Andalian rune mage...you don't know what the extent of that entails, my dear." She knew more about Sevilin's profession simply from growing up around it...Sevilin was not as helpess and dependant as he played himself off to be. In fact that was quite he intriguing thought...why did he so easily play the dependant? But she sighed as he again seemed to change on her. "I suppose in that aspect I am. Though she's going to be furious enough with me alone as it is. I've already tricked her once, as well as decieved her. This Underdark way is starting to settle in I think."

"A rune mage still has to eat. and without money, or a place that can provide him food, he'll have to hunt it. hunting it means traveling to where the food is. I don't think he's the kind that would want to be constantly moving so he can keep his stomach quiet."
Though a nod. breakfast was over, and the house was redecorated and furnished..it was probably getting toward afternoon by now. Hmm. normally that would be some time for buisness, but he'd promised.
"She'll understand, I think. in fact, her real fury will most likely be with me, for Sevilin. she'll know you wouldn't do what you did without me prodding you into it."

Another point to put toward Sevilin. Oh great, now she was starting to analyze people instead of just going with the flow like she always had. Well wasn't breakfast interesting, jumping a gamut of subjects spanning from children to treachery. Quite the mix indeed. And then he had his points, but she was still wading in guilt. Surface elven tendencies still afloat in a sea if Underdark ones that wanted to drown out the other. A nod was all she gave on it though, arguing with him would be pointless. She'd continue to try to blame herself and he would continue to bear it all on his own shoulders and shelter her from the repercussions of all of this. "Well then, all dressed up with no where to go, and you no work. Do tell, what can I do to keep you from going insane with all your idle time?" Very rarely did Malik mull around doing nothing. Always had to be doing something, unless he personally decided he was going to shirk all his responsibilities.

A chuckle, and a look over at her, before getting up from the table and walking over to her, and offering his hand.
"How about a dance. if you want to look the part, you might as well enjoy all the little fun activities that go along with it."
a snap of his fingers, and the livingroom was tranformed intoa dance floor, all the furntiure moved out of the way and the slaves that had moved it settling on it with instruments, mostly wind and string.
"shall we dance?"

For a moment she blinked at his hand before her eyes turned up to his, almost holding that amusement of 'you can dance?' in them. Though she knew better than to say so out loud, for she knew Malik better than that. Rough as he may be, he was still quite the refined Tier'dal, very refined. A nice qualty to have really...add in natural elven grace of thier kind and it was more so. Though easily enough a smile lifted her lips and she let her hand slip into his own as she pushed away from the table and stood. "I think that is a very fine decision, my Lord D'Vinn." Throw in the formalities for fun as well eh? Formal dancing...her last recollection of taking part in the activity was distant. Been a long time for her indeed, but joy to the gift of elves to never forget.

He grinned and led her out to the newly created dancefloor, and the servants began to play a Tier'dal version of a waltz. a surreal, ghostly music, created only with flutes, harps, cellos and violins. he led her in the waltz, dancing with her and twilrling her around. then the music effortlessly blended into a little more robust two step dance that still followed the general waltz pattern.
"You dance wonderfully, Lady D'vinn."

One could call it amazing how she easily picked up on a dance she didn't really know. But to an elf, it was no big effort really, and it was a variation of a basic dance anyway. Though when compared in her head to other types of affairs, she preferred this one. Maybe it was because she was with Malik...or maybe that's just how she was. Again she was breifly living out every little girl's dream, dancing with her knight in shining armor as in all good stories that came to pass. But a soft melodic laugh as he went about compliments and flattery. "I think my parents would have my head if I didn't. You're not to shabby yourself...and here you had me thinking you knew not the first thing. Then again I'm sure you thought no more of me either."
