Simply Anneke Guys? Could I ask you a favour?
My friend's aunt has died and he seems pretty upset about it. We don't live in the same town so I wanted to send him a little package to cheer him up. Can you think of anything you'd like to get that would cheer you up?
I'm going to send him a little teddy bear with his name I've had for years, and a card, and maybe some candy and a comic of some kind. Any other suggestions? chocolate, preferably something bitter sweet instead of really sugary 3nodding ...um and don't try to tell him you understand how he feels right now sweatdrop that never goes over well when the pain is so fresh. Even if you really do understand he will not really want to hear that right now, later it will be a comfort, but right now it will just make him feel like you have no clue...

Yupa: Well, he likes comics and I have a signed comic for him somewhere, one of his favouries. It's just not unpacked yet and I have no access to it. Maybe I could print out some funny webcomics?
Edit:
Crystal: I haven't said anything of the kind - just that he knows where to find me when and if he needs me 3nodding I was thinking chocolate and maybe a little candy heart or strawberry or something.

And I concur with Ms. Hono; the best thing you can tell him is that you are sorry, but you will be there for him as best you can if he needs you. To show that you care is what he'll need more than anything.
