Onyx shorted lightly and stretched, and before she coudl look up again, he had vanished. right now he was laying rather chesire catish ontop of one of the book cases, idly watching, and listening. before being a bit playful and giving the old hunter's growl. the one that came from everywhere. think him not a hunting cat? ha!

"Which pet project? The ones that I don't let you know about or the actual pets?" A little laugh to follow before she let herself sober. BUt she crossed her arms lightly for a moment as he went bad played with his other love. Poison love, but none the less the sword held a place in his own being. Stupid sword. "We have decorum?" Well look at that, learn new things everyday. "How about we make sure this place is in order, you can be my arm candy or vice versa, and we can play house. Won't that be fun?" That wonderful joking tone in her voice, a good distraction to her guilt."

She'd just been about to repush herself to her feet and try to walk when he decided to take matters into his own hands and scoop her up, holding her against his chest and heading back to the fortress. She had blinked and he'd taken command. Irritation rose swift and fast but was immediately replaced by something completely different....something warm and sweet. She'd longed not too long ago to have him hold her just this way and now it seemed her wish had been granted. Oh but why now? Why when she needed things so badly was she forced into contact with him? She struggled lightly in his grasp and shook her head, "Sevilin, this is completely unnecessary. I'm sure I can walk, I just wasn't quite ready yet." Being that she couldn't let him think she was enjoying this, in fact she was almost desperate to get down and then at the same time not. When he still refused to say anything or put her down she finally gave up and sighed. "Well you might as well take me up to my room. I've got herbs and things up there that I can make into a poultice and then I can just sit on my bed and finish studying, it will minimize the amount I have to move since obviously, I really can't." She wasn't looking forward to being cooped up in her room all day but neither did she want to try climbing those stairs after lessons were done. She was already breathless from the contact, now she just wanted to get to her room so he could put her down and she didn't have to be so aware of how strong he was and how...good it felt to be held.

Rest ended for the Tiefling as it allayse did, horrable nightmares of unyelding torture at that hands of his far away 'master'. Cormyrs eyes shot open, deep red orbs shooting back and forth, examine the land before him threw a strange grease film. He had to get to his feet he thought, lest the other creatures of the nine hells would surely kill him. how foolish he was, It was not safe for one to sleep out in the open like this. He tried hard to move, but found pain in every part of his body. Despite the aching that all his limps afforded him in response to his commands to move, he managed to get onto his hands and nees.
He rocked forward violently, a sudden wave on nosia washing over him. Up came the contence of his stomach, blood stained vomit spiewed forth onto the broken rocky terrain. He must have been swallowing it while he was sleeping. He whipped his mouth on his palm, and in turn whipped that on the ground.
"The balor" he hissed, pushing himself up to his knees and reaching for his sword, he searched both scabbards and found not a huilt. Cormyr, now fully aware of his surrounds paused, regarding the two imps with perplexed look.
It looked like the nine hells to him, the broken rocky terrain unfolded before him as far as night vision would allow the unarmed tiefling to see. So he was back in the nine hells, he decided, but this place did not look familiar, he must have been on a different level.
He relaxed visibly, sensing no danger about, other then these two imps. And Cormyr the Tiefling blade did not think that there was a day that would come, when he could not dispatch a pair of imps. He moved slowly, pulling his weak legs underneath him Indian style and began inspecting his body, sevaying the damage that the balor had caused him. He was very soar, and he had reopened the stab would in his stomach, but he feel anything missing, all in all, he figured he had come out wrather lucky. He raised a hand to the shoulder he thought was broken and, after a sharp breath, gave one good tug, setting the bone back into its socket with a loud pop. He lifted the arm slowly, running it threw a short range of movement. It was broken, but he thought it might be able to hold a sword now....if he could find one.
He exhaled slowly, finally ready to ingage the imps in conversation.
He spoke slowly, fixing them with a dnagerious glare. " Where in the nine hells are we?" He had to bite back a small chuckle at the irony of his last statement.

Her room...red flags and warning bells went off in his irrational mind, but they were muted out by something far greater. The funny thing was how he almost recognized that muted sense...but couldn't pin point it, what was it...though he didn't think about it long as his mind turned to other things, namely Zahara.
She seemed so...fragile in his hold. To him she barely weighed anything at all and she seemed small whem she wasn't standing there with hands on her hips and forcing attitude down your throat. Oh he was way too overly aware of her. The feel of her skin under his hands, the way her clothing shifted with his steps, her own body heat against his own, making him all the more heated it seemed.
But with a nod he took to the stairs, making his way to her room since he knew where it was from yanking her out of bed in the beginning. Working the door open he stepped in and walked her to her bed, setting her down on it. Bed room studies....oh hell his mind just twisted that beyond it's meeting. "I just don't need another...chastising...from Malik is all." Good excuse.

"We have a great deal of decor...woudl you like to see it displayed? I can have it arranged while we play eye candy for one another."
A clap of his hands brought in a slave girl.
"Lets put out the..draconian decorum. all of it."
The slave gave a hint of a smile, nodded, and ran out of the room quickly. Soon there were slaves working, including the breakers. tapesteries of silks and vibrant golds and silvers. others in whites and reds and blues. all depicting draconic symbols, images..lore from Norrath. busts of dragonheads, shields with weapon displays, carpeting with flaming images, carpeting in the halls..the place was vibrant now, even with the dark stone of the walls, the flames of the torches, the draconic imagery gave it an otherworldly look. the look of someplace that hadn't been seen in centuries.

She was jostled and bumped about in his hold as he went up the stairs, feeling her chest brush against his every time he stepped and was all to aware of his arms holding her. She saw her room come into the field of her vision and was grateful that the prolonged torment was soon to end. She couldn't think, couldn't do anything with him holding her, all rational thought wen tout the window...well except for trying to get him to touch her more, possibly stay in that room with her. But she couldn't think that way, it was just her instincts talking. The pain in her knee had lessened considerably and she was hardly feeling any discomfort whatsoever anymore, be it because he was close by or because it hadn't been that serious to begin with. He hadn't even dumped her on her bed like she'd thought he would. She glanced up at him, his face so close to hers and laid a hand o his cheek lightly, ignoring the desires to pull him onto the bed with her and have her way with him. "Thank you Sevilin..."

Just like Malik and Piper themselves, the place could clean up pretty well indeed too. Now why the hell didn't they just have it like this all the time. It was practically so cold and impersonable all the time. At least it looked like someone lived here and actually wanted to. After all, if you love your home why not spoil it? Needless to say that upon seeing all of that as they had gone about touring the place, she was quite impressed. "Alright, I'll admit. It's impressive. And here I thought you only had style when it came to your personal style...and mind sometimes, but mostly yours." A little chuckle, latched onto his arm already, before she looked up at him. "I take it this is the part where you drag me downstairs and force me to eat, isn't it?" Because Malik was a clock work elf. Though she still held her own ideals...he could force food down her throat and she wouldn't whine about it when and if she ever got pregnant.
He pretty much froze, but not in scared rabbit fashion, as she laid her hand to his cheek. She had done it before and it seemed to do the same thing that it had done the time before where she touched him like that. Brought a sense of comfort...which had never been present in a woman's touch to him before, let alone Zahara being female Llothian drow. He should be heading for the hills by now.
Though something stayed his steps...what was it...he knew it. But it wasn't coming to him and his mind kept pushing it aside, urging him to indulge in what his body craved, experience perhaps a new aspect to this whole ideal of sex that had been put into and built up in his mind over years of 'conditioning'. He swallowed, raising a hand to her own, she rested his hand on hers, letting it run down her forearm to her elbow in what could be considered a gently caress of her skin, despite her arm being gloved, letting his hand rest where it stopped. And he gave one of those lopsided smile that he didn't know he even had. "Hm...um...you're...welcome..." Oh wait, why were words hard.

"Of course. adn the reason I keep this mostly cold looking is becuase..until you...my home was not used for a home persay, but a buisness. but since it is our home now, then I guess I can afford to let loose a bit, now can't I."
Though a glance to Zahara's room with a little grin. Everything was working out just fine for those two.
"Tell me something. how long do those little rune things last, anyway. and of course, what woudl you like to eat."
Picking up a glass of wine from a tray a servant was already carrying to teh table.

That simple touch mixed with that lopsided grin and the gentle prodding from Malik plus the rune, and the potion also from Malik, none of which she knew about combined in that moment to cause her to throw caution to the wind. she knew that it was a bad idea, a horrendous one in fact but it no longer mattered. She had to have him. But she thought about it briefly and steeled herself to pull her hand away and move away from him. She wasn't exactly sure when that plan went down the drain, only that it did and next this she knew she was grabbing onto him. She moved closer to him, her arms wrapping around his neck and clinging tightly to him, melding her lips to his. She couldn't wait, didn't want to wait, didn't care the implications any longer. She had to have him...now.

"You live in the past far too much Malik. This place, isn't what used to be your home. Who even knows what's become of that place by this time. It's been almost over twenty years now. You don't have to compare back and forth...this is sort of a clean slate for you." Well...almost clean. The slaving wasn't good, but that was previous Piper's fault. Damn woman had to be a slave owner. "Besides, I can't have my kids growing up in...dull interior..." Another worry of hers turned joke. Seemed she did that with a lot of her negativity these days. Then she took on that pondering look. "Maybe till this afternoon? Or this evening? I can only do so much without getting a nosebleed, which you expressly forbid. Combining runes and forcing blood to activate it isn't exactly the brightest thing to do for ones not trained in the art." Though she stalled on food...her bird eating would fly today, she somehow knew that. "Hm, basic breakfasts will do...but no cinnamon on anything." That was her own little self punishment, no cinnamon.
Being a thinking elf...Sevilin had lost the game and his rational the moment she kissed him, making his drug and rune muttled mind shut down and letting him give into the urgings of his body. After all, it was his mind that told him to be afraid and to keep away, without it's calling he was vulnerable...and prone to his own innate born instincts.
His body commanded he indulge and he did, letting one are lace around her waist, the other brace on her neck as he did indeed kiss her back. This wasn't the game of the prior week where they pushed till someone threw the game away. Basic needs. Basic needs that were being given into, despite how his mind struggled to try and regain itself, to make him come to his senses and stop himself before he ended up right where he had been before. But he didn't care right now.

His surrender made her yearn for more and she was defeated the moment his arms laced around her waist, letting her own instincts have complete control of her body. She was literally trembling with need in his arms, having to have it all Right then and there. At some point a passing slave must have seen them because a muffled click broke through the haze of passion he'd erected and fed and she realized the door was closed leaving them free to engage in whatever they wished, to reveal the mysteries of each other they'd both been hiding for so long. To glory in everything that was an innate part of them, together at last, her instincts would finally be appeased. With a satisfied smile she tightened her arms and pushed him down to the bed, kissing him deeply and looking forward to what lay ahead for them both.

"For some, the past is all we have."
A small look of near regret.
"I know you don't like what I do. but this..is the only real connection I have to my father. My mother I didn't get to know too well before it happened. and my oldest brother, he was a proud shadowknight. my other one an assassin. I saw strength, and chose that road..well...Malvolence chose it for me."
A small chuckle.
"I coudln't stop what happened when it was first handed to me. and then the shadowknight guild's leader came and offered me two choices. die, or become a shadowknight."
He sat down, and got some breakfast for himself, looking over at her.
"When you don't have much of a past, I guess you cling to it tighter. but like I said, you find something to replace it, just as lucrative, and I'll use it instead. and speaking of children.."
A small grin over to her.
"what would you think about perhaps some...enhancement in that area?"

The two imps watched curiously. Maybe he'd be more interesting if they followed this guy around BEFORE they ate him. They ahd discovered of late that people tended to lose interest when they could no longer move due to missing body parts. They did however look at each other curiosly.
"What do you mean, 'where are we'? What have you been doing? Spedning time on the inhabitable surface?"
"That WOULD be rather interesting though. You did know it's covered in poisonous gasses that can kill even magic, right?"
"Brother, is it possible that perhaps her came here as we did?"
"You mean through a worm hole?"
"Yeah, maybe this guy's not from Labyrinth."
"That would make a lot of sense. Maybe that thing he was fighting brought him here."
Talking amoungst themselves to figure this out, and now that they had, they wouldn't accept any other explination. They turned back to the Teifling. "You're in Labyrinth. A mostly human inhabitated part of the underworld. Some 1000-2000 years ago, the surface world was destroyed, driving any and all survivors underground. "
The size of children, these two imps got as close as they could to their new freind, whom they had decided was in fact, their friend at thsi point, and were pocking and proding at him. Tiny horns jutted out of their foreheads, little usless wings sprouted from their backs, and long very useful tails from their behinds.
"We, are the loveable imps, Jaun and Jell. I am Jaun, I am blond. But I'm the smart one. My brither the brunett is Jell. His favorite food is shoes...sorry about that."
Jell giggled. "So I supoose, if you are the pessimistic type, we are in hell!" He waggled his fingers and rolled his eyes. "Oooo, scary, isn't it?"
She turned around and looked up at the bookcases when she heard him roar. She tilted her head and lifted an eyebrow. "What are you doing?"

"Stalking you."
A little wave and a grin, and that image faded into red sparkling shower. Chesire Cat indeed. Prolly read that story a little too much. And then everything was silent. no footstep, no heavy breathing, no growls and rustling paper or shift in books.
