She woke up rather groggily surrounded by a pile of books, her head on the table. Her neck ached from sleeping like that, and her eyes were sore from reading books all night. Still not all that used to reading, the words had begun swimming on her page much sooner than she would have liked. She had to move Onyx's wing, which was drapped over her. She assume he had put it there sometime after she had fallen asleep, but before he had.
She looked at the pile and sighed. They hadn't meade much headway.
Borphious and Kafeley were taking their time getting back to the fortress. Riders slowed them down considerably, and they had multiple passengers.

Moving his wing put the rest of him off balance in his chair, which resulted in a loud thud as he fell out of it onto the floor, feathers thrown up into teh air like dust, flaoting down back on top of him, tail twitching lightly, and tongue lolling out of his mouth. however being as he was, the flow of air changed while his breathign didn't, which cuased so loud snoring. and the occasionaly large cat growl or snarl or something that was probably spoken in his native language. and the occasional twitching of a leg, hand, or ear.

She rolled her eyes. He falls out of a chair, and doesn't even wake up? Talk about a heavey sleeper. She got down on her knees and pocked Onyx none too sofly in the ribs. "Hey."
No response. She pocked again. "Heyyyy."

Ears twitched...and he rolled over on his side, wing smacking her and taking her over with it, and of course, warm body touching him got his tail to snag her leg and twine aroudn it.
"five more....minutes.."
back to snoring a bit.
"gotta.." snore, "help.." wheeze, "Pretty.." snort, ear twitch, "whirlwind.."
and back to just snoring and the occasional twitch, except for his latched on tail.

She had probably been up before anyone else in the house, save for slaves who were always up in a shift or so scehdule. But cerintally up before most of the others. Not a good reverie night for her, and now here she was again, swimming in guilt. So what did she do in self distraction? Pretty herself up, that's what. Again in that red and gold dress, her hair tamed, and even sporting the dual gemmed circlet her mother had sent from Andal. Yes in self distraction, she was making herself look like a girl. Currently fussing with her hair some. The odd things she did when she felt guilty.
Sevilin was severely uncomfortable at the moment. Waking up had been a torture, and now walking to this damn place was a torture. He felt like someone had rubbed his skin raw with sand paper and now it was overly sensitive. Too much so. But it didn't exactly feel bad, but not good either. Quite the odd little sensation. Even Nym wasn't permitted to ride on him today, the ferret instead having to skitter on behind him or perch on the drow's boot and latch for the ride.
On his walk his mind had been trying to figure what the problem was. In fact he knew several things were off today as he neared the fortress. Things just felt...different. Like someone had been messing with his runes. Which of course made him cranky and looking to blame someone. It was either surface trash or Zahara. He wanted to blame surface trash.
Though as he came in and into the dinning room, where they usually held lessons. He had to stop a moment and regain his suddenly lost composure at seeing Zahara. He swallowed, there were those damn feelings again and he felt even more uncomfortable. But he cleared his throat. "Good to see you up and ready." Thus putting down study material and taking his seat, all but slowly and awkwardly from odd bodily sensations, at the opposing end of the table.

She'd been staring down at the table, thighs slightly parted beneath the all too short skirt and nails idly tracing patterns on the wood, trying not to think about him or anything that would make her even more uncomfortable but not seceding. Then his deep voice intruded in her thoughts and she about lost it. Snapping her head up, startled and looking at him blinking for a moment, feeling her cheeks heat even though anyone looking would have no idea she was blushing. Shrugging awkwardly she said, "Well, I figured I might as well get dressed and come down since I'm automatically up anyway. Congratulations Sevilin, you've finally conditioned my body." The words were out before she could stop them and she was momentarily dumbstruck for a moment thinking of all the implications that could carry, the images were once again plastering themselves up in poster proportions in her mind's eye and her eyes closed in embarrassment. Taking a deep breath she stood in her chair and leaned down reaching toward the center of the table where her book lay. "Normal study time then, yes?"

She gave a yelp as she went down,a nd felt like a rabbit in a snare with that tail around her leg. She cleared her throat and decided to ignore the ramblings of the sleepy.
She pulled at the tail. "Hey, let go already!" She grabbed his ear and yanked on it. "Hello? are you comatose or what?"

Implications indeed. Ones that Sevilin's mind took to generating for him. What the hell? Now why did he think that at that specific phrase. Maybe because it was the fact that he had done something to her body. Which his body more so than his mind was telling him that it was okay, welcome the thoughts and go on, imagine things.
Though he was about to banish those thoughts before she leaned over the table...and he got a look at just how skimpy she was dressed today. And for some reason that made his blood heat in a way that his body deemed good but his mind and pre set conceptions deemed a horrible thing.
"Dressed? You're hardly wearing anything...lean over any more and you'll loose your top." Eyes widened a moment. Those had come out before he could stop him. Now why should he say such a thing. Great Sevilin, now she knew you were staring at her...he shifted uncomfortably and reached over, shoving the books closer to her. "Indeed, normal study time....if that's alright with you? It is a bit...stuffy...in here." Hot was more the correct word, or maybe that was just him right now.

Onyx's tail snaked off her leg..and aroudn her wrist...and then let go when one eye groggily opened up wide pupil contracting back to the near slit.
"Good morning?"
before letting out a half roar/yawn, exposing all those shiny white teeth and his tongue, then jaws snapping shut again and blinking a few times, sitting up and stratching behind his ears and stretching some.
"How long have you been up?"
Malik groaned when he tried to get up. oh yes, his lowerback was lovely shades of blackish purple, and he forced himself into a sitting position, runnign a hand through his hair and looking over at Piper..then toward where his clothes were..then stopping and taking another look at piper.
"Is there some formal dance happening in a little bit that I am unaware of?"

"Scratches don't bother you but some internal soft tissue trauma from being thrown from a horse does. Again, it proves that I have yet to entirely figure you out Malik D'Vinn." Yes that was her 'good morning' to him as he woke up not so much the happy camper. But she side glanced his reflection in the mirror she was at before leaving her hair alone a moment and turning slightly so she could easily look at him. A check at her one still bandaged forearm before she gave her attention back to him with a chuckle. He was so cute when he couldn't figure her out. "No...I'm just....being pretty?"

His comment caused her to snap back up straight, placing her palms flat on the table for balance and stare at him for a moment, mouth agape. He had noticed...since when did the thought of a male noticing her cause this onset of ragged breathing and peculiar sizzle along her skin and goosebumps to rise and pucker? She could almost feel his eyes on her, warming her, overheating really. But then males who noticed her weren't usually so delicious looking to her. In fact, she made it a point to give a cold stare at any male who happened to show appreciation for her...assets. She took a deep breath and plopped back down in the chair, wincing lightly when her skirt brushed against her secret erogenous zones and was grateful her hair was short. Gods, those soft silky strands against her back all day would kill her. "T-that's fine with me..." Just open your book and don't look at him... She shifted uncomfortably, "It is rather...warm in here." Resisting the urge to fan herself but only by a bit. "Perhaps a light breeze?"

This was horribly awkward. And as in most awkward moments he cleared his throat and shifted uncomfortably, though more so with the way his body was being bitchy with him today. At least that's what he chalked it up to. So he had almost politely averted his eyes as she took to settling herself. He didn't need to see the move and play of skin and underlying muscles at all...though he was oh so tempted to stare.
"Sounds good...an opportunity to practice your line width control I'd say." Yes! Get her runing and that would help take his mind off of her! Runes always cleared his head...not to mention he'd duly enjoy watching those fingertips delicately trace and think how they may fe-....stop that thinking right there Inthara.
"Unless of course you'd just prefer to go outside..." Though he drummed his fingers a moment before rolling his shoulders and giving a tug at his tunic collar and the chain mail one underneath as well. Stuffy indeed. Idle conversation...let's see.... "Um...Zahara. Have you been asked to remove any runes here?" You just wanted to hear her voice you sick b*****d.

"Internal soft tissue damage, aching potentially bruised bones, and possibly torn muscles do hurt more than your fingernails in passionplay."
A slight smirk.
"Let nightmare buck you hard enough to throw you into the air high enough so you land on and break through wooden fencing."
Then another look over at her, and a small, teasingly pleasurable grin.
"Pretty is an understatement. you look radiant...though I didn't think you were one to look pretty. are you that concerned over what may happen today?"

He was actually letting her decide? Alright, she thought a moment and then pulled that runing substance out of her skirt pocket, yes wonderful pockets that held everything she wanted and seemed to be able to be completely crammed with junk. She stood up quickly making the runic circle, grateful for having something to focus on besides him sitting right there in front of her. She answered his question automatically, not really thinking about it, "No...why would I?" Leaning over again, her cheeks completely flushed, she rapidly hardened the circle and then drew the wind rune, carefully keeping the lines thin so a soft, gentle breeze played about them, ruffling her hair and his and teasing her already hyper-sensitive skin. It cooled her for a moment, bathing her body in its caress and then as breezes often do, fanned the sparks already ignited and made it even worse. It took everything she had to hold back the moan that was threatening to release and she whimpered instead. "O-outside...better idea..."

"You broke some of my stable boarding? Oh well...was going to get that thing rebuilt anyway." She was? Oh yes she was...Malik just didn't know that she had planned that yet. "Though yes I've been bucked before, so I know where you're coming from...then again I fall out of trees and bust myself up just the same. It equates." A moment more spent smoothing her hair into order before getting up and walking over, sitting on the edge of the bed to caress a hand over his cheek lovingly with a chuckle. "You flatter, Lord D'Vinn. I suppose I clean up well enough when I want to. And you like it when I pretty up." Though she sobered a little with a sigh, so much for not being transparent. Then again they were bonded, so he could probably tell anyway besides her odd little mannerisms. "I suppose...it's just that I do feel guilty is all."
He watched intently as her fingers took about drawing on the table, covered in gel he knew was cool to the touch and would probably soothe the burning of heated skin. Licking his lips lightly he turned his attention back up to her when she answered his question, momentarily forgetting what his question was before it came back to him. "Just wondering..." So...it was the surface trash... she was a little better at runing than he thought. Though he didn't seem to care at this particular moment.
And that breeze had felt good...at first. Before it started to brush all too nicely on what skin on him was exposed, making sparks jump and his eyes slide to Zahara once more, looking her up and down a moment, staring some, his mind trying to imagine the most wonderful, or in Sevilin's opinion horrible, things. Right, direct rune generated wind too much.
"Alright then, outside." Gathering up his own materials and expecting her to get hers before pushing out of his chair and walking past her, he could of swore he brushed by her from the feeling, and it had him looking back over his shoulder at her a moment, even though he never touched her, merely came close. Yes, outside...when the paranoia of what was lurking out there could drown out this damnable feeling.
