"Not at the present moment, I'm not..." Konoe looked to the sky, reminiscing about his origins and then thinking about his fate, "I know that I used to be. I don't have many memories of it..but I do know that I would return if something isn't done to prevent it. The journal is what prevents it..."
He decided not to go into much details about the issue or his journal. He didn't want Reia to know too much.

"Hmph." Reia snorted, then crossed her arms once again. "I doubt that a journal had enough power to save you from yourself..."

Nolan grumbled at the squirrel. "Well, I have no one else to talk to... why not talk to a squirrel?"
He glared down at the small animal, who merely regarded him quietly. "Yes, I'm lost." The squirrel chittered at him, and he frowned slightly. "Well, I'm sorry, but I don't understand you either. Stupid squirrel..."
He sighed, and put his face in his hands. "What I wouldn't give to know how to get back to Konoe's house..." The squirrel laughed at him, and ran up to his shoulder. "What do you think you're doing?"

Konoe looked to Reia, somewhat miffed by her doubt, "That journal, as I said, is a living entity. It used to be a person who..had strange methods for casting spells... the requirement to keep the spell active was to write in the journal at least once every few days. When it gets full, the contents move into one of the empty journals in my library so that I can continue writing in it.."
He walked ahead, "Please do not speak of it to anyone.."

Reia ran to catch up. "What do you take me for?" She asked him. "Do you honestly think me that stupid?" Reia shook her head exasperatedly. "Oh well. You probably do, but that's not what matters now..." She looked forward and gulped slightly. "We're almost at the house..."

Nolan shook his head at the squirrel, who was now sitting in a proud place on his shoulder. "I just don't get it. I have no idea where she came up with that idea... I mean... I don't... I'm not... I don't swing that way!" He finished vehemently. I think. The squirrel nodded his head knowingly.

Reia smiled weakly. A nervous snake was twisting in her stomach as she watched the house with anxiety. "Well... I guess we'll find that out, shall we?" Her heart was beating wildly in her chest. "I don't know why I'm so frightened... I wasn't this bad with the bunnies." Reia smiled weakly at the lame attempt at humor.

The squirrel chittered at Nolan, trying to get him to cheer up. "Yeah, well, it's not working." Nolan grumbled back at the squirrel. "I'm lost and I have no idea what these... feelings... are." He muttered obscenities to himself.
"I hope I wasn't like this before I lost my memory... because if I was, I was one screwed up individual." Nolan muttered. The squirrel patted him on the head.

((wasn't he in a library before? what's stopping it from being a magical library? or an illusion cast by a kitsune spirit etc. or it could just be a plot hole))

Konoe opened the door, but he didn't step inside. He started to tense up, but still, he tried to maintain a stable composure as best he could.
