Svetlana sighed and stood up from the couch. She need to get out of this dress and just calm down. She picked up her shoes and headed up the stairs.

Duff shrugged. "Well, you're just a baby, to me anyways. I should take care of you. But I can't, of course. I lapse too often into a child's consciousness." He fiddled with the buttons on the normal onesie he wore. "I like laps. Or... maybe I don't. I used to sit in Mistress's lap. It scared me, but it also meant I was safe for the timebeing. Laps are safe places."

She was scared for him, and scared for Gorlist...And scared of herself.
The things that ran through her mind, when he chopped his own fathers arms off...She shivered again and hugged him closer, crying again.
