Aella was greatful for amoment for the comfort from Onyx, but pulled away just as quickly. "Fuss? FUSS?" It had been difficult all this time to pretend she wasn't bothered. To act cool anc collected. Things were tsarting to crumble with Malik's seeminly uncareing nature. "This isn't a FUSS! My m.." no, he wouldn't understand that, "Meilikki is missing! The Lich has her, and is doing who knows what to her."
She fisted her hands at her sides. "The Sky Father is the opposite of the Earth mother. Roarke believes that the Oracle has been hidden from us by cloaking her link to the goddess by influence of the god."

There was a slight frown in the recognition of Onyx pulling back Aella as a preotective motion against Malik. Again it was there adn again it was pissing her off. Malik was brash and Malik was harsh and yes, sometimes he could be cruel, but she couldn't help that it pissed her off that anyone assumed the worse of him. Then again...Malik made it that way himself didn't he? But she didn't make present company aware of that. Besides, seemed it was Aella's moment to be openly upset. "I know you're upset, but getting more so isn't going to help." She was just as worried as Aella perhaps, after all Piper was a bit close to Meilikki as well. "Though forgive me if I speak ill of Tarathiel. He was the one who was supposed to protect her and stayed our hands at anything to do with her." A little sigh, crossing her arms lightly with a nod. "I'll send for my father then, he can bring Raziel. See if that will help any."

One drow was conspicuously absent from the Triumverate household. Indeed the instinct suffering, slightly bitchy, female drow was off on her own. She'd decided to take some time and wander through Triumverate, check out the places she'd never been and discover what the fortress had to offer. She'd been all through the upstairs, seen all the rooms, most were just bedrooms anyway but she'd never been downstairs with the exception of one that one time with Piper when she'd gotten her collar put on. Her fingers traced over the metal of it briefly before she made up her mind and walked down the stairs. She couldn't say she was surprised by the aura of fear and the strange smells in the air, after all Malik was a slave trader. It stood to reason that something happened to disobedient slaves and enemies of his. But she steered clear of the less than savory spots and found to her delight that the manor boasted hot springs. Trailing a hand through the water she purred with delight and quickly stripped and immersed herself in the heated pool, laying her head back and letting the water lap at her skin. If someone came along and told her to move, she would but for now she needed to relax and release some of the tension that was coiling her muscles into tight knots.

Kaida was walking the halls of the academy. Looking at the chewed on table legs and thread bare carpets. She was missing her sister, wishing she was there with her, sometimes wishing she had died with her.
How could she! How could Jada leave her alone?... why wouldn't Jada take her with her? She hated being alone, she felt like she had been carved in two and was trying to live with onyl half a heart.
She shook her head. It was mean to think that way. It wasn't Jada's fault.
She thought about Roarke, he had taken them in, she should be greatful that she was still alive and embrace her sister's memory... it was hard though.
She stopped walking when she saw that Jude was staring out the window with his head cocked. She smiled to her self, Jude had once been thought to be the runt of the litter. It wasn't expected that he would live at all. But he had proved over thier ordeal that he was strong.
He had grown during their stay, his shoulders had widened, his chest deepened, and out of all of them he was the first to start loosing his puppy fur. He was startign to look more and more like a human child. Kaida knew that he would be the first to be able to transform.
She came up beside him. "Jude? What's so interesting Jude?" She was smiling, hoping a game of chase with the others was going to start. But Jude didn't answer.
He turned his head, his brow was wrinkled in puzzlment. He pointed to something in the distance. "Something is coming Kaida..."

Malik made no move, not one. He knew that the Vah children never traust his intentions, they'd get that from thier father. However, Aella did get a stern look at her ranting.
"Excuse me? The lich is destroyed. I was there, hell, I was the one that turned his body to dust. It isn't Dimitri that has her. It has to be Din. the son following the path of the father now that his father is ashes on the wind. while her presence might be hidden by this 'Sky Father'...it's not that big a concern. Din's strength is only what he can take in teh form of others. so I woudl think you just look for the biggest, meanest person that has suddenly gone missing. and you'll find Din hiding in that body."

Roarke had only just been able to set loose some tracking devices, trying to find Din. While he was concerned for the Mage's safty, he did not think he had much to do with meilikki's abduction. But then, things were very weird lately. he could be wrong. He was in his lab, which no one, not even Alaran, had known of. How do you track something who's body can change as easily as as a thought? How do you stop sometihng as small as an ant crawling across his skin and wisking him away? He had a few theaories, set loose with the trackers.
Just recently, he had allowed the amythist dragon back in the academy, though he was very unsure of her intensions. He turned around and looked in the direction of the coq-dragon holding cell. They were barking strange things....
He threw his tools to the floor, strange coloured stones, the innards of elsser animals, books, staffs and other things scittering across the room. No...not here....
He hit the door running. "DAZ! Where are you?"
Aella looked at Piper again, nodding her head then turnin her yees to the floor. She did not like raising her voice. She didn't bother to say anything about her father figure, she knew what other people thought of him, and she couldn't really blaime them. She too, was a bit angry that her mother had been so easily snatched away from him, not to mention it shook her badly, since she so strongly beileived that Meilikki was safe with him. But as to the bit about her father. "Thank you for your help, Piper."
Then she looked back at malik, setting her jaw. "Roarke was very insistant that the lich was alive, and it was he who took the Oracle."

Immediatly trusting Jude's instincts Kaida followed the direction of his finger. at what first glance seemed to be just a spec, was now alarmingly getting larger and larger.
Kaida gasped and stepped up to the window. She looked at it for a moment, but had no idea what it was, she had never seen one before. She was scared but she was transfixed.
Jude shook his head. "No, no no no no no..." he stepped back from the window and looked around wildly. "It's coming here, straight to the academy..."
"but roarke has defences remember? He gave us a lesson..." kaida turned her head. Jude was alramed, and in turn it alarmed her.
He gripped her shoulders. "Defences can be broken Kaida, its to big... far to big..." he turned and running on hand down her arm he grapped her hand and started running. "We'll gather the others. I'm not loosing my family again."
Those words rang in Kaida's ears, he didn't need to say any more to convince her. They ran together. Down hallways and through the kitchens, the libraries and courtayrads. Barking and howling the whole time.
"Adso! Adso where are you?" Kuro screamed...
"Zell!"...
"Ori! Ori stop reading! You have to come quick!"...
"Zack? Zack where is Mik wasn't he with you?"...
It took a few minutes but Jude managed to find his family. But where to go? there was no where to hide, not from... from that...
"We can fight! Just like we fought the slave men!" Zack, always optimistic and loud piped up.
"No!" Yelled jude, "This is not a human, its far superior to us, and we're still pups, we can't even transform"
Suddenlt teh castle rocked on impact, tapestry's fell and glass shattered in their window frames. The pups dove under a table, trying to cover eachother's bodies with their own.
"Here's the plan..." Jude said when he was able to speack again. "We warn anyone we see, but we get outside. we get to the cliffs. We get to the caves we found. Watch for everyone around you, we wotn leave anyone behind. Understood?"
The pups nodded their heads. And bravely they began heading down the hall. Jumping undertables and dodjing debris as they went.

She had been hoping that said lich was indeed long gone, thus why when Onyx mentioned it, she didn't say anything to it. Though here was Aella insisting that he was. That just pissed her right off...damn meaningless battle that risked all thier lives and put them all through hell. "Are we honestly saying that we went through hell to get a sword blessed and then deeper to go fight a battle that was for nothing..." That was rehtorical. Though Malik has his points about Din as well...father and son, how appropriate. Though a more gentle look was given to Aella...she knew the woman hung around with Tarathiel...thus why she had bit her tongue on it. But it still felt good to know that Tarathiel's whip had back snapped and hit him right across the face and his pride. "I guess I have a zephyr to send home again." Because she wasn't going personally, she wasn't ready at all to step foot back into Andal.

Malik's face only showed a scowl. that sword had been blessed to destory him. he'd given up his gift of self ressurection for it. Not that is was a great gift. it was a terribly painful experience to go through. still the fact remains that he had given it up in excahnge for something, and that something apparently had not lived up to it's bargain.
"So he says. in that case. Piper will have Kieran here in two days at least. your both welcome to stay here if you feel the need. just avoid the other drow. things are going to get..interesting between them tomorrow. I have a dragon to summon."
Yes, he was going to call for the emerald dragon, using the blood in malvolence to get his attention. and then he was going to see Ton and Eca and give them a peice of his mind. How dare they decieve him like that. and he started on his path up to the battlements, quite irrate at the present.
Onyx glanced at Piper, and shrugged.
"That's only what we were told. the mage was quite sure of it though. well it's up to Whirlwind if we stay or not..but I woudl vote for staying at least until Kieran and Raziel arrive. if Laudi's familiar can be coerced to talk, it woudl help immensely I'm sure in this hunt."

Silently, Aella thanked Piper for her understanding. She felt something of a lite kinship to the elf, mostly because they both had bonds with another who was not always good, not always evil. It was a fine line they walked, she was sure. "Maybe the Lich just saw you comming with the balde and prepared for it. He did have Meilikki for a time, reading her visions." She rubbed at her arm, not really knowing what to do now, not after her outburst. She nodded at Onyx. We'll stay. I have no where else to look."
But she snapped her yees back to look at malik once again. "The dragon is insane. You would do well not to call him here. He destroyed the castle without even using his magics."
"DAZ? Damn it! DAZ!? Where the hell are you?" Roarke ahd to screw his eyes up tight andn not look t the coq-dragosn as they threw themselves against their cages. There was no time to free them. The half-dragons or the children...what a choice that was no choice.
Outside, a high pitched scream was heard, then they whole place shook as the great dragon's body slamed into the buidling. It's stoneowrk held it for the time being, but Tanudnra had flown right through the Academy's defenses. Crackling thunder peeled through the dark outside as waves of magic tore at the dragon, to no affect. Spells he hadn't told anyone aobut, soem taht had been there fore eons some that he'd thrown in himself, notihng could touch an entity made of earth and fire.
He ran through a hall, the kids...where were they...where was Daz?

She had only sighed as Malik walked away and rubbed a hand at the back of her neck for a moment, making the arrows hanging from her collar clink a little as they awayed with the motion and knocked against one another. But her look went back to Aella. "Don't try to talk any sense into him, he wont' listen." But a nod and her gaze was given to Onyx for as well as Aella. "Well then, you two can get settled in...if you need anything stick with one without a collar." Dropping her bandaged arm to hang at her side she shook her head lightly. "I'll get my father here soon as I can, be it letter or through Zephyr and maybe him and Raziel can get Tharu to talk. Or at least get her to trust others again like Raziel took to my father."

The pups ran, they hid they dodged. But entrances whre begining to cave in, and more than once they had been forced to change routes.
He had grabbed some of the lighter tapestries that had fallen from the walls, and they held them over their heads now as a small protection against debri.
They had reverted to their wolf speak, it was faster than spoken language, so Jude directed the pups as best he could with sharp yelps barks and growls. They where beginning to move as one, with Jude in the lead they followed his moves and often did what we wanted before he voiced it.
Jude thought it odd that they came across no people, but he was thankfull to since they came across no bodies. But they where runnign out of time, soon the whole place would colapse.
"Keep your noses sharp for Roarke!" he commanded.
And it wasn't long, when they dived beneath a desk to escape the most resent cave in, Ori yelled "Uncle Roark! Uncle Roark!"

Roarke skidded to a halt as he ran through a room to hear his name being called. He pivoted around on one foot. "Ori? Ori was that you?" Another crash shook the Academy, making roarke stumble on his feet and fall to his knees. At elast from that vantage poitn he was able to see where the pups were, and bless them...they were all there.
He waved them out. "Come on kids, we need to get out of here." He reached under the desk and pulled out the nearest pup. "This way, mind your heads, don't step on broken glass."
He placed his hand on the rubble that had blocked the door, spoke a quick comand, and the rubble exploaded inward, clearing their path. "Let's go1 Where is your gardian?"
As they ran, a piece of the ceiling fell behind them, blocking off the door they just ran through.
Aella looked at the bandages, but didn't tihnk it any of her buisness. She decided to ignore them. She looked quite downtrodded by now. "Thank you, Piper. For your help. Getting Tahru's information would be very useful. I just hope two days isn't too long."

"Malik says two, I can have him here in a day. Give him just that little bit of time to hand his kingdom into capable hands and pack some gear." Lightly she crossed her arms once more. "Chin up, I'm sure we can turn this around...somehow...you're part elf, you gotta put yourself in for the long haul." Considering half elves held that partial life extention of full elves. Yes, she could read the downtrodden look, Piper herself had it some days. "Really though...I'm sure worse things have happened..." Right?

Daz slowly blinked his eyes open as the castle rumbled around him. Beside him lay a rather large, and now bloody piece of ceiling. He had been nocked out cold, but he didn't knwo for how long.
he had been up in one of the study towers, reading whatever cought his interesting, hoping to find something about this Lich character that Roarke had explained about. He put a hand to head, a large gash beside his left temple was bleeding badly. He quickly used a piece of table clothe to wrap it up with.
He barked loadly, and began to run down the tower stairs. Where were the pups? Was he to late? Ha she ran down the winding steps, something large crashed into it. And it Began to tumble.
"Daz?" The pups blinked, "we haven't seen daz since breakfast he said he was going to do some searching." Kuro, the one in Roarke's hands sniffed back a tear. "We didn't know where he was, we had to leave him behind..." The pups lips where trembling. He had been the one to come find them, and they had to leave him behind.
