If your able to get to the update give it time. That first one should have every update Xbox live underwent since the 360 was released. That's a few. And some of them are ******** enormous. So, when I need updates usually I plug my control into the charge and play and leave for a few hours(unless it's a game update they only take a few seconds). Seriously, they had one they released last year sometime that took me four hours to download completely. If it does freeze, try hitting the guide button. If it comes up, it's not frozen. If you hear the sound of it coming up but it isn't, it's lag. Give it a minute and it should come up.
But if it is actually freezing and you aren't able to finish registering go to the VGD(Video Game Discussion) here on Gaia, and make a thread.
I had no trouble signing up for live so I wouldn't know specifically why.

I'll keep that in mind next time Bob's over, it's his, not mine. We sold his Wii, games, and some of my dvds and grabbed a 360 and a nice amount of games: Oddworld Strangers Wrath, Dead or Alive 4 (For me), Viva Pinata (For Cait), Kameo, Gears of War, Nintey-Nine Nights, and Halo 3 (For Bob). We, sadly, reserved Soul Calibur 4 in full on the 360 (We had a vote, 2 to 1. Cait's vote counts as two votes, Bob and i are only a half a vote, full vote when together)
But, pending how bad I do with the 360 controller when the time comes (I somewhat got used to the control stick; I refuse to use that horrid design they call a D-Pad) I still just might grab SC4 for my PS3. (That way I'll know I'll be at the best of my game, with a real D-pad design)
Speaking of which, picked up two new games (when we got the 360), MK Unchained and Dynasty Warriors 6.
Unchained really brings back memories, and for a portable fighter to be the 'full' version of a console title (MK Deception) it runs and plays rather smoothly. (The the camera can be a b***h in konquest mode)
As for DW6; ******** epic. By far the best of the series so far: the battle fields are beautifully detailed and massive. And the new controls and abilities make the game feel a lot more realistic (Being able to knock down the doors of forts, running along the top of castle walls, horses that jump, and so much more)
But I gatta admit, I'm still iffy on Shang Xiang's bow. Granted, it's more true to who she really was, and the crowd control it has is amazing, but it's still a big switch from her Lunar Chakaram, and her voice actress is anoying as ********. (Same woman who did Etna in Disgaea 2...)

You'll pick up on the controllers really fast. I actually love it over every other controller out there. Almost every other one gives my hands cramps now. And many games utilize the control pad as a weapon switch or order giving device. So it's never really relied on heavily and it frees up buttons for other things.
Also, get Ace Combat 6, Ghost Recon. Advanced War Fighter, Armored Core 4, and Frontlines Fuel of War. Me and my friends also play TF2 from time to time. Also CoD4. And once you get Live up, you can slaughter me in DoA4. Also, Battlefield 2 is still a lot of fun.
Bah, I can list out recommendations for you guys.

I planned on getting Armored Core 4 and Frontlines Fuels of War, but they were outa stock at the time. We still got $31 left over, so if they have it in stock next time we go, I'll grab them.
And if we can ever get it signed up and going online, more likely then not our gamertag will be GoodOlCQ. What's yours?

Shlag. I want to switch it to Ryuondo, but it costs some MS points. I think I still have some left from the last card I bought for getting my skins for AC6.

Takara, Gaia crashed for you too? that scared the hell out of me. I though someone tried to crack into my account one too many times and got me permaban'd.

lol, yeah. The second I hit that post button, the entire window went white. Though I wouldn't be too surprised if I get an e-mail saying I'm permanently banned because of too many failed login attempts. I've gotten well over a dozen of those "Account Disabled" e-mails already...It's starting to get annoying -_-

I was wondering what the hell was up with that. Any offical word as the what the issue was?
And finally up and running on xbox live. Our gamer tag is B0B357, though we wont be on it often.
Speaking of games, we hauled a** and got a s**t ton of work for the game done: Bob drew out a few more concept sketches, worked on unit and time balancing, worked on some C# coding, and started working on the music score a bit. While he did that, I worked more on the story, wrote up more information on the races, began work on the structures, and worked on some Torque coding. (We're using two different codes to test the waters, so to speak, to see which will one we will be able to work with best. So far, it's looking like Torque.)
We plan on releasing a FAQ and Networking video as well as a Teaser video within the month.

Probably.
And yea man, tell me about it; if we can keep up a steady work pace on the game, we might be able to release a demo of it within 2-3 months.

So I just beat Turok for the 360. I have got to say, it was ******** fun. Final boss fight was a b***h. Taking out a T. rex with a bow isn't easy. It was definitely a satisfying game. When I have some money, I'm gonna go buy it.
