Tython, Mando Camp

Seron relaxed slightly at Master Joelk's command, but then he stiffened up again when her eyes fell upon him.

"Since you've all stopped anyways, can I get a word?"

Seron swallowed, took one step forward, and then barked orders at his Lieutenant Colonel.

"Yakon, start Major Chu on patrols around the temple again," Seron ordered. "And make sure she gets those locker rooms clean this time. She'll be leading triple rounds if her armor isn't properly stowed this time."

"Sir!"

Seron continued forward to Master Joelk.

"What can I do for you, ma'am?"

Sam

Sam's right eye twitched at the address, but she refrained from commenting. There was only so much she could ask, and expect, from military trained men. It wasn't the first time she'd had a padawan with that background... Allya, did I just think that?

"I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I've gotten turned around... would you walking me to the hangars? " She turned slightly then added, "I'm also not entirely sure how one arranged for transport off this planet, so maybe you could assist me with the procedures?"

And while they walked maybe they could discuss a more permanent position for him, and her, whatever it turned out to be.

Malo's Ship

Malo's eyes fixed squarely on Sephis. Would she dare take a step any closer? Her droid twittered something and she responded in agreement with it, whatever it had said. After a moment, he could feel her stretching out with the Force to make contact with him. He curled his Force-signature up in a ball, waiting to unleash the dark side until a more opportune moment.

Malo recoiled at the realization of who he was, and Sephis, too, was surprised at the touch of a lightsider, strengthening his drive to subdue the spacer and commandeer the ship. It wasn't just that she stank of a light side Force-user. She was a light-side Force-user. She'd captured Sephis on Harrin, brought him out into the middle of nowhere, for reasons he had yet to understand, and was now trying to suffocate him with vacuum. There wasn't much love left for this spacer when Sephis was finished going over that.

She stepped forward only slightly and reached her bare hand out to touch him. Sephis bared his two-pronged canines and growled ferociously. He pitied the foolish spacer if she had the stupidity to drop her guard like this, although the droid may have been with her to cover that exactly. He snapped his jaws once, not biting Malo, but just to scare her.

You wouldn't hurt a harmless little puppy, would you? Sephis asked, sending the message telepathically to Malo.

Sephis unleashed a Force Push that would have rocked a normal human back into the bulkhead and crippled them. Sephis supposed Malo might be half as damaged if she was prepared enough.

Tython, Mando Camp

Master Joelk was a perfect example of the potential of good guidance and proper teaching. Her skill with the Force had to be formidable if she'd reached such a respectable rank among the Jedi, and her focus was such that it threw Seron askew as she singled him out of his unit. Seron wondered if she ever had to suppress any anger, and how much any Jedi in general was allowed to vent their emotions. Keeping anger, frustration and grief-wrought emotions bottled up could result in mental illness.

"Ma'am, absolutely!" Seron replied to Joelk's request with transport procedures. "Would you like me to escort you into orbit?"

Tython/ Ronyo’s old Campsite

As Ronyo watched his Padawan deactivate her virbosword the energy around the Jedi still surged and flowed with the residual power left from the attack. His sticks were now black ashes twigs that slowly began to fall apart as the wind blew through. The Jedi took a deep breath and settled himself as he also drew in the pulsing energy that danced across his body to either help reenergize himself or to expel at a later time. It had been sometime sense he had decided to push himself to that depth but he had still held back, he had not allowed his personal lightsaber form to kick in all the way nor had he allowed the Hunter to take over completely. Ronyo hoped he would never have to allow that to happen for he was still not sure if he could control it all.

Ronyo returned hi smile upon his face and took a seat near the waterfall and waited for his Padawan to join him. She had potential with a lightsaber, her inner focus was tight but she also had emotional battles to wage that restricted her final push. There was also the need to work on timing and precision as all Padawans needed to do and that would simply come with time.

“You did well, as your training continues we will work on the finer details of your combat and your mental stability as well. The one large difference between fighting me and fighting a Sith will be the mental game as well as the real danger of being killed. A Sith will never play fair and likely use mental attack as well as physiological and emotional to push you off your game and make you unstable and unsure,” As Ronyo spoke Omega came to sit and conveyed a message from the Jedi Temple sensing his presence was needed, “Anya I need to return to the Temple for a moment but I would like you to rest and then continue your physical training. Find yourself two nice sized rocks and carry them with you on your run and other workouts today. I will leave Omega and one of the Holocrons to help answer any question but hopefully I will be back before you have any pressing ones.”

Ronyo place the Holocron contained the small green alien down on the rock and activated it. As it looked around and noticed Omega it gave a small bow to the wolf and then looked to Anya. He appeared to sit with his legs crossed and his small cane laid in front of him with a smile that seemed warm and inviting.

“If you would not mind Master, I have to run back to the Temple and would be grateful if you could answer any question Anya may have during her workout. Omega will be here as well to give any physical assistance.”

“Help with questions, always am I willing.”

With that Ronyo gave a bow to the Holocron and Omega and a deep bow to Anya for her hard work and skill so far. The Jedi turned towards the direction of the Temple and took off with the Force speeding him along his way. The wind whipped up in a flurry as he dashed on and the trees swayed as he passed by hoping to get to the Temple and back before Anya had any real issues to discuss.

Tython ~ Training Ground

Anya joined her master by the water and listened to him as he spoke. What could be so pressing at the Temple, she wondered, that would require him to leave her here in the Forest and race back to the Temple. With a heavy sigh, she nodded an acknowledgement and then watched as he left. With a glance to the little green Master, her stomach rumbled. They had rations, but she wanted meat and she would get it. She located several small pebbles and pocketed them, then opened a connection to the Living Force around her. She headed off into the Forest and found a rather large tree. Using the Force, she ran up the trunk to a rather wide branch and stretched out the Force. She touched minds with several small creatures and fish around her, but passed by them. Finally, her mind came into contact with a larger mammal. Anya began to stalk through the trees, leaping from branch to branch to close the distance to her target. Once she had a visual on the beast, she removed a pebble from her pocket. Focusing the Force, she lifted the pebble from her palm and shot it off towards the creature. The pebble passed through the creature's head as if it had been fired from a slugthrower. Propelling herself with the Force, she landed beside the dead creature and hefted it onto her shoulder. It was a long walk back to camp, and after that a relatively long process of cleaning it. She sharpened a spit with her sword and set some meat over the fire to roast.

Malo

She wouldn't state the obvious rebuff to that telepathic -- shockingly telepathic -- message. That would be too easy, too expected, too much of a set up... when she sensed the build up of force she realized just what was being set up, but not fast enough to do much more than stabilize herself against it. A shrill mechanical cry followed that push, a push that felt more like a punch, and her own grown of exertion followed it as she reached to the force instinctively and absorbed what she could of the force. The rest had her stumbling backwards, arms raised, and she cursed.

Frustration rose quickly and, with it, anger. Malo glared up at the animal infront of her and reached one of her defensive arms out to him. "I tried to give you an option," She said, her voice coming out distorted through the re-breather, and finished her sentence with action. Anger fueled her command of the force as her reach extended metaphysically, wrapped around his large, canine body, and commanded it to sleep. Her other hand lowered, calling her lightsaber to her hand, but did not light it. Malo gripped it tightly, drawing familiarity and comfort from the crystal within it as her eyes, and her fire, remained fixed on the Sith before her.

Sam

Eyeing the Mandalorian curiously, Sam arched an eyebrow and tilted her neck slightly as she gestured for him to take the lead. "Something like that."

Before he could follow her comment with a question, if it even occurred to him to question her, or anyone, she continued. "But before we go anywhere I'd appreciate it if you dropped the 'ma'am' routine. Your people might expect it, might even like it, but that's not who I am.. just call me Sam." As the words left her mouth, Sam remembered saying them before. Those people were gone now, though, either to death or to something darker, and she brushed a hand through her hair casually to dismiss the thought. She needed to remain here, for now, not diving through memories and previous lives.

"Can you do that?" She asked. Can you be more than your training?

Mika Anjiliac Chiera
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Formely Zietta the Hutt's Palace

A silver, curved, cylindrical object was gripped loosely in Mika Anjiliac Chiera's hands. It felt small, compared to his massive hands.

"Hi chuba da geeb there, big guy?" Pendal, the top information broker on Point Nadir asked him.

"" Mika answered, glancing down, watching the light glimmer off of the cylinder's chrome finish.

"Kava about that?" Pendal mused. "See, hi chuba da think is up with all these Force-users popping up all over the place?"

Pendal inhaled deeply on his spice cigarra, and puffed out a ball of wispy smoke. He was in mid-air, flapping his small Toydarian rings, with his hat low over his face, casting shadow around his eyes. He'd brought his muscle with him to Zietta's Palace. No way was he walking in here with a bunch of Force-users apparently running amok.

Behind him stood the headmaster of Sable Dawn watching the conversation before him unfold in silence. Beside him were Zietta's henchmen, the Nikto, Weequay and Gamorrean. Former henchmen, Mika reminded himself. His cousin was rotting in Boboqueequee now.

"Lei here thinks it's a fad, like... What did you say? Like pod-racing..."

""

Yes, this was his palace now. With Zietta out of the way, Mika now had the perfect opportunity to slide into place as the kingpin of this shadowport.

"'Almost ruined the dinner party?' Pendal repeated, chuckling. "Cheska yo hear yourself? You sound like a Republic delegate."

The headmaster of Sable Dawn, as well as Zietta's old henchmen, projected their eyebrows upward as their eyes widened. It took a lot of courage, or apathy, to speak to Mika Anjiliac like that. Pendal's henchmen, apparently, weren't surprised, as they remained stony-faced in light of his rudeness. Mika, willing to dismiss the remark, was more concerned with what he was going to say next. He bristled in anticipation.

"Seems to me, that maybe you've elevated yourself above all us common thugs... It's a wonder you even bother with us at all any more," Pendal said quietly, looking Mika straight in the eyes. "Word is: That you can't bother to get your hands dirty no more..."

This was too perfect of an opportunity. Mika couldn't help but laugh.

"" Mika said, slithering toward the tiny Toydarian. ""

All three of Pendal's bodyguards were suddenly blown backwards, as the headmaster of Sable Dawn thrust his hand forward. Mika could see they were struggling to get up, but the headmaster held them firmly in place. Like Mika, he was also a Force-user. Mika looked back at the two henchmen they had addressed. They were looking at each other, searching for direction on what to do from the other's eyes.

Pendal was just staring, aghast and silently at Mika, acutely aware of the mistake that he had made. The cigarra was slack in his mouth.

"

Knowing better than Pendal, they both grabbed him from behind, each holding him by an arm and pushing him down while he flapped harder in order to stay up.

"No..."

Onurb growled.

"" Mika admitted. ""

"No... So, this is how it is?! Pendal yelled as Mika gripped him atop the head, crumpling his hat. This is how it is?! Listen to me, Mika. I was offering you a... A... What are you...?"

Mika lifted the arm in which the curvaceous cylinder had been resting in. He moved his thumb down over it, and a silver blade erupted from it, loud and hot in front of Pendal.

"What... What are you doing?!" Pendal shouted. "What are... Come on, Mika, this... This isn't what I..."

The silver light of the blade was making Pendal's dark skin appear pale. Pendal just stared silently at it, awaiting his death.

""

Mika brought the saber so close to Pendal that it must have burned.

"Don't..."

The next sound was that came out of Pendal's mouth was an angry wrenching scream as Mika clipped Pendal's left wing with the lightsaber. Another similar scream erupted when he did the same to the left wing. A scream of pure raw pain came when his leg was cut off, followed by a more agonizing one when the second was dismembered.

"Chuba doompa, dopa-maskey kung!"

Just one last scream was made as Mika plunged the lightsaber through Pendal's mouth.

Malo's Ship, Cockpit

Malo glared at Sephis. Good, she was angry. Jedi had no idea how to utilize their anger. They were trained not to. Then she reached out with her arm.

"I tried to give you an option," Malo said, her voice coming out through the rebreather.

Anger stretched out from her mind and pressed down on Sephis. He could feel her emotions trying to box him in. It was immediately exhausting trying to keep her at bay. She saw her other hand doing something, but wasn't quite paying attention. Perhaps if he could just let out a Force Scream...

And Sephis fell unconscious. Tired, and exhausted as he was, the Sith was no match for an attack he wasn't prepared for that would literally put him to sleep. He wasn't even aware of what she was trying to do to him before he was out like a light. His "Force Scream" came out as a short, growly-sigh, as his front legs slackened and he dropped stomach down to the floor.

Tython

Seron stepped up ahead of Master Joelk as she gestured for him to take the lead, although he kept his steps short after that, unsure of how comfortable she would be trying to keep up with his long stride.

"Something like that, but before we go anywhere, I'd appreciate it if you dropped the 'ma'am' routine... Your people might expect it, might even like it, but that's not who I am... Just call me Sam."

Seron felt reluctant to do so. Technically, the Jedi weren't their military superiors. It was more like the Mandalorians on Tython, as few of they were, were volunteering to be their militant arm and shield. The military structure that they followed was self-imposed. The Jedi didn't outright ask them to be referred to formally. Seron supposed that old habits just didn't die very easily.

"Can you do that?"

"Yes, Sam," Seron said, only a split-second's hesitation before before 'Sam.' "If you're so insistent on being informal, do you mind me asking what your goals are in orbit?"

Seron gritted his teeth behind his lips, wishing he could bite back that last. Informal or no, he realized he'd pried just a bit too much. Informality and nosiness were distinct (although they did sometimes cross paths). It wasn't Seron's place to ask about Master Joelk's business. As long as he was still acting as Mandalorian, and not as her Padawan, he really had no right to be inquiring.

Malo

Malo closed her eyes and sighed, shoulders slumping as she looked at the unconscious form of the canine Sith and returned her saber to her belt. If it had been a tactic of his to disarm her with his appearance then it had worked, slightly, but more so in the retrospect. She did have a soft spot for animals. Maybe that was why she opted to lift him and carry him with the force, again, rather than getting a droid to simply drag him from the cockpit. Whatever the reasoning or method she was relieved when she'd safely deposited him into one of the escape pods. Taking a quick moment to disable controls from the inside, and en extra moment to encrypt them while thinking of what he'd surprised her with in the cockpit, she sealed the door. Once out of the access hatch she activated the magnetic sealing on both doors and then returned to the cockpit.

The environment levels were returning to normal so, with another sigh, she removed the re-breather and took a deep breath of recycled air. It wasn't as fresh as the re-breather, but it was normal. If much more went screwy with this delivery then she was likely to go crazy just for kicks. She'd had more dangerous encounters with Sith in the past week than she'd had in two years...

Keeping the rebreather handy, and her COM tuned into the escape pod's, she made her way to the engineering bay to fix her sabatoge job on the engine. Once the Sith woke up she hoped to be back on course and in a better position to deal with him, or whatever he was...

-----

Roughly an hour later, Malo returned to the cockpit to check the systems. Trailed by Querty, the smuggler enlisted the droid's help to diagnose the navcom and hyperlink while she opened up a screen to view the insides of the escape pod and check on her "guest." Waiting for the screen to load she wondered idly if it wouldn't be easier to just kill him... but as soon as the image loaded she dismissed the thought. He was right, she wouldn't harm a 'defenseless', or not so defenseless, puppy... or Sith.

Sam

She looked Seron over and wondered how much of her intentions and plans she ought to reveal outright. There wasn't much reason to hold anything back but, at the same time, there wasn't much to reveal, either. As far as she was concerned the first step of her plans was the extent of all of them, she really didn't have an end-game at the moment.

Then again, she couldn't keep reacting to things around her, either. Isani had come to her for a reason and, whatever that reason was, Sam couldn't ignore or forget it. Whether she liked it or not she had been pulled back into the schemes, games, and galaxy-spanning plots of both Jedi and Sith.

After that hard look, Sam shrugged and replied. "I need to find someone." It wasn't exactly a lie, but it also didn't feel honest. Still, the prospect of explaining her own inner struggles to a man who knew less about her than he seemed to know of the Jedi and the Force was less than desirable. "I can't do that here. Besides, there's enough Jedi here on Tython... they won't miss one."

Orion

The Nubian boy grinned at his companion and nodded in agreement. "But where to begin our adventure, Liesa?" He asked, though he already had an idea in mind. Of the times he had accompanied his father to Coruscant on business, Orion had fallen in love with the lonely, silent silhouette of the Jedi temple. Visible from nearly any port or tower that his father had brought him, the boy had rarely taken his eyes from it. Supposedly the Jedi had abandoned the place years ago when Orion was just a child, but the romantic in him refused to believe that there was nothing left in those dusty halls. He'd read of the expansive Jedi gardens, the massive library, and the thousands, millions, of feet that had walked those halls; it was time for him to see it for himself.

Liesa would agree, he was sure... if he persuaded her. "Let's dream of home," He suggested, setting auto-pilot and then curling up with her before the dimmed view-screen. It was better than any starry-night sky on Naboo. "And when we wake, we'll do everything -- together."

----

((time skip?! ;o ))

When Orion's eyes opened it took him a moment to realize why his room was so dark. It wasn't his room, of course, and that knot in his back wasn't because the family Gizka decided to curl up beneath him. He yawned, nudged Liesa softly, and then sat up.

"We're here... " For a moment he was at a loss of what to do but, remembering his father frequented many busy metropolis planets like Corsuscant, he realized he had nothing to worry. This ship would be equipped with an official, and prestigious, ID. Hopefully. With a renewed burst of excitement Orion approached the planet trying to remember the nearest port to the Temple, or if the Temple's hangars were still operational.

Kennero

"So you keep saying," Kennero teased, though it was more reflex than true humor. If he'd been amused in the slightest then he wouldn't be nearly as on guard or suspicious of anything that moved near them. "It must be true..."

His last words trailed off as he caught the quickest glimpse of a Black Sun insignia before it disappeared beneath a worn, gray cloak. So we're already being watched. The Falleen thought sullenly, watching the thug slip away into a crowded cantina. Of course there was a cantina on this level... there was a cantina on every level. He should have known better than to think that they would be long on Nar Shaddaa before Eden, or someone in her employ, found them out. Perhaps Mina's approach wouldn't be such a bad idea if the gangsters already knew they were coming.

"Alright, Let's go ask someone." He agreed, tipping his head discreetly in the direction of the cantina. "While we're at it, let's get a drink. Space rations dry my throat." Kennero was already walking towards the cantina, all business.
