"Any reason we can't torch 'em, just to be safe?" she asks Mio, referring to the skeletons. Aleron's reference to Sonja makes her frown. "She can lead us ONLY when the Dr gives her a clean bill of health," she says.

"The researchers took their security seriously, at least as far as keeping secrets went," Mio replies to Aleron, tone tinged with slight annoyance, "They've got sensor-shields up to block out any probing of the lower sectors of the station."
Looking over at Aurora, he says, "Fine, torch them briefly, and if they don't jump up or otherwise start moving, let that be the end of it. Charred bone smells terrible, you know..." He might be fully-suited and sealed off from the station's air, but that didn't mean he wanted that smell hanging around.

"Good point. The fewer signs we leave for other...things...to find, the better," she says, going a completely different direction from Mio's. "Hold your fire, Misha."

Gin shifted slightly and then yawning slowly she beggan to wake up. She sat up slowly rubbing her eyes tiredly. She still needed sleep but all the voices were waking her up. She slowly let go of the other womans hand.. hers feeling cold now with out that warmth.
"S'anything happening?" she asked in a groggy tone turning her head in the direction her ears said people were. She rubbed her face a little bit forgetting she had a vistor on and blinked fuzzly when she felt it.
"Ah.. " she mumbled. Oh yeah..

Miya silently listened to the exchange between Aurora, Mio, and Aleron, taking in their observations and suggestions. The Captain's mention of Sonja's ability, or inability, to help out caused her to pipe up. "Captain, I feel that Sonja's condition is good enough to where, so long as she's cautious and doesn't do anything stupid, she can lead a search party as soon as she feels ready." It might still be a bit too early but, considering that Sonja could help get everyone out of there, she was close enough to recovered for what was needed. Besides, she trusted that the woman wouldn't push herself too far.
At the sound of a yawn from the other side of the room, her ears twitched and she turned to face the source of the noise. "Hey, you're up," she said quietly, heading over to Gin. "Mio, Misha, and the Captain went exploring on the station. All they really found out is that everything about the things currently infesting the ship is really vague...seems the scientists didn't tell anyone anything... But, no one's hurt, so...no worries."

Aurora sighs. "That's the problem, Doctor. There's no guarantees that she won't have to push herself."

Misha blinks a moment, "Captain I think there was a contact that just poped up on the edge of my radar but then it disappeared. So caution being the better part of valor or are we investigating?" She kept her gaze on the skeletons a moment before turning her back slighty jsut so if need be she could torch em...

Misha's report causes Mio to glance at the little radar on his HUD. "Er, seconding that contact, Cap'n," he says, "it's just at the edge of my radar, but there's definitely something moving that isn't one of us here or on the ship."

"Mio, how long would it take you to back that information iup somehow, or transfer it to the ships systems?" she asks. It was only one, right? And they knew how to kill these things now. She shudders a bit, thinking of what had been done to whomever had sat in this room previously. "Belay that. Let's head back. We can come back if we need to."

"Forgive me, captain. I was going off what the medic had said to me, unsure if it had been relayed to you. My mistake." he said, listening and reaching for his visor. "Captain, I'm heading to the airlock to cover you and offer support." he said, nodding to Miya and Gin. "Gin, I'll call you if we need more, ok? Be ready." he said, a light order, as he checked the cells on his wrist and headed for the air-lock, his damaged visor going up. He really needed to take the time to fix that...
As he headed toward it, he almost hoped something would show. He was pissed for them hurting Mace, much less going after him. He wanted a bit of therapeutic revenge in the shape of his boot.

Gin waved her hand dismissivly at him. yeah yeah she'd be ready. She had the stimshot right there ready to go. Stiffling a small yawn, feeling much better then she had been before. though naturally still tired, gin stood.
"Mmk" She said to him. She then leaned foward streching her back and grasping her ankles. Then slowly she streightened, only to go backwards the other direction till she was doing a back bend
"oohh yeah that feels good" she groaned as she streched the tight muscles. Next came flipping her legs over, and turning it into a hand stand before splitting her legs and arching them a bit. And finally streigthening up once agian to standing.
"that's better" she muttered rocking her neck back and forth a couple of pops heard. She'd needed that. She rubbed her lower back a bit and sighed.
"What did i miss?" she asked with a frown peering at the dog on the bed.

Aurora suppresses her irritation. She did wish that her subordinates woul D act...well...subordinate. He could have at least requested permnission. Still, she very much welcomed the idea of back-up. Perhaps they could flank whatever was coming, if it arrived before they made it back to the ship. "Roger that, Lieutenant. Stay closer to the ship and watch for us. If it arrives, maybe we can surround it," she says, announcing her thoughts.

"Just a moment, Cap'n," Mio tells her, slipping something out from his Engineering kit and attaching it to the terminal. Checking on his data-com, he nods and says, "Alright, I can use my data-com to access this terminal and thereby continue to work on the doors from the ship. It'd be better if I could get one of those on the station's main system, but that would require going deeper into the station."
He pulls out the card from the terminal and puts it in a pocket, then uses the keys to unlock the desk drawers and do a quick rummage through them. he watches the radar on his HUD though, and sees a few more blips appear besides the one. Grabbing a box that he found in the desk, he says, "Got more blips on the radar, definitely time to go."

Aleron nodded as he answered with a 'yessir'. Leaving the airlock, he set the intensity on his wrist-gun to 5-shots in on. He wouldn't be using it unless he needed to, not this time. He drew his Silver Pistol, not a standard model and obviously a bit customized to even one who wasn't a gun-buff. But to those who were, it was a beautiful 9mm, maybe as much as a Glock, Silver pistol slightly larger then standard with an extended barrel for accuracy/power and extended clip for 14 shots instead of 10-12 and a small LED flashlight under the barrel, laser-sight build in.
Now, Aleron was a techy, this is true, but just because he had an understanding in sonic-based weaponry and built the wrist-device himself didn't mean he was a master of it. He was a soldier when he needed to be, and that gave him some damn good skills with a good ol' classic side-arm pistol. And the advancements helped, thanks to Boda's help back in the day.
He took aim at where the blips were coming from, taking a step toward the hall every now and then, as if daring something to come out and challenge him when he was ready. His Combat Knife's clip was unhooked as well, just in case. It always felt more natural to grab that and use it then to aim his wrist and shoot from it, considering a knife was dual-handed. The wrist-device wasn't.
