"Ok. I certainly hope they become fast friends. See you in a minute." Lyra smiles, then turns and goes over to the cage. She opens it and Cadrion jumps onto her arm. She strokes his feathers, softly telling him what's going to happen. She raises her arm and he leaps off, wings spreading, and does laps around the compartment.

she pops her head back into the compartment after hearing Ann's comment: "older than you by a year?" Princess slowly swallows, and looks at Cazzie. "please forgive me, you look so young I had no idea. My name is Princess and I am a 3rd yr Ravenclaw." she states meekly.
Princess then turns to Ann and says "I was only jokin', but thanks for the important information." Princess smiles at Ann and winks at her. She knows that the D.A.D.A professor is aware of how Princess loves to joke and tease a wondeful trait she learned from her boyfriend Mr. George Weasley.
Princess happily skips out of the compartment to finally go and visit her owl Nickademus. She carefully picks up his cage, and is softly talking to him, and explaining about Cadrion the new owl he is going to meet. She arrives back at the compartment and walks over to Lyra.

Cadrion landed again on Lyra's arm. "Hey Princess. That must be Nickademus. He's beautiful. This is Cadrion. I don't think you've really met him yet, have you? He seems to be in a fairly good mood right now." Cadrion looked at Princess, then Nickademus, hooting softly.

“Thank you Ann” she said as Ann helped her to her feet. “I’m good, not hungry yet, though shouldn’t we be getting there soon? I mean it seems like we’ve been on this train forever!”

Miss Love Tantei Ann, who was still hugging Cazzie, looked at Princess with shock, "This is no first year. I mean, yeah she's tiny, but she's actually a year older than I am. Cazzie here has just been quiet, is all." Ann got off the poor dear and helped her up. She looked apologetically at Twyla, "Sooooo sorry!" She picked up the first year and put her upright.
"I is going to make a Trolley run, who wants something? Its my treat!" Ann winked.
"I'll pay you back,"Kitty finished later.

"I think... I see a castle off in the distance! Land ho'!" sweatdrop Kala just can't wait to stretch her back and start some mischielf in school. She gives Sekhmet a little enchanted cat treat: a silver wiggling mouse(of course not a real live one, but cat food magic-ed to appear rather lively). It squirms out of her hand and Sekhmet has a bit of fun running around the compartment chasing it. Finally, she paws down its tail in victory making the lively 'mouse' freeze back into a still cookie-like treat.

Junimaia Juni walked back towards her empty compartment whilst holding onto extra pumpkin pasties and a cup of earl grey tea; she currently was holding one of the pasties in her mouth. The sudden bounce in her step caused by a near-fall-out-of-train-experience earlier seemed to had vanished again once she had left student contact, though a part of her eagerly planned for the day she would get Ann back for that scare. As she stepped to the door of her compartment, she noticed a fellow hufflepuff (Corona Australis) accompanied by what looked like a first year student (bucbucLA). Juni quickly spit out her pasty into what was left of her hand, then whistled quite LOUDLY at the two of them.
"OI!!!!!!!"
She waved at them with her cup of tea. "You two! In here!" Juni nodded her head to the compartment and walked inside.

"You must have been carrying those for a while. I think we're almost at the castle already. Hehe." Juni then turned to Jules who had asked about her summer. "A somewhat dull but okay summer, though my dog pasted away. That wasn't so happy." She then glanced at Tracy's cat, "Adorable... cherish that cat for the rest of it's life. I'm sure she'll appreciate it."

Princess looked at Lyra's owl Cadrion, "Wow he is beautiful Lyra. Thank you-Nic tends to be initially shy but should warm up in a few minutes." Nickademus slowly and gently nipped Princess for her to extend her arm towards Lyra. She did and he walks carefully out to the end of her extented arm. To get a feel for Lyra. He hoots softly twice and anxiously looks at her. "Oh Lyra, he is willing to hop on your arm and walk to your shoulder if you will let him. Don't worry he will be cautious when he approaches Cadrion."
Princess carefully watches Lyra expression to make sure that she isn't nervous by Nickademus' request.

"Thanks, Princess. That's sounds fine." Lyra extended her other arm towards Nickademus. He hopped onto it and began making his way up her arm toward Cadrion. Cadrion simply sat there, starting at the other bird. "Well, he seems to be ok so far. I think it helps that the compartment isn't crowded. That was partly why he freaked out that time I was telling you about." biggrin
Cadrion took off, flying around the compartment, and Nickademus followed. "Well, they seem to be getting on quite nicely."

The Hogwarts Express comes to a complete stop at Hogsmeade Train Station. As the students evacuate one by one, the gamekeeper calls, "Firs' Yers! Firs' Yers to the front to take the boats to Hogwarts!" The First Years make their way to the front and see the boats that await their arrival.
Meanwhile, those second year and above had horseless carriages awaiting them outside the station. As students climbed aboard, the carriages shut by themselves as each of the seats were being occupied.
