Zahara blinked and glanced at Piper, suddenly yanked out of her rather pleasant thoughts, and kind of sorrowful to see them go. "Hmm? Oh Piper," she chuckled, "I can handle him and a hell of a lot more. I'll be fine, I'm just...lusting." That was really the easy way to put it. But she hadn't paid that much attention to what the elf had said so she really had no clue what decision they'd come to as she went back to rejoin Sevilin at the table. But instead of going back to her seat immediately she decided to indulge the spark that had been rolling around in her mind and she settled on the corner of the table by him, one foot resting on the side of his chair. "Sevilin, let me rune. Please? I'm so tired of book study and I've been studying really hard lately anyway. Please?" Her breath was caught at being so close to him and she was sure her eyes were revealing all but maybe he'd just chalk it up to enthusiasm.

Right...so there she was, as Zahara and left, stuck with her damned need to help out the drow. Thus she went downstairs to find a certain elf, not caring that he was playing fight games. Malik would get a book chucked at his back. "You win, damn you!" No, she wasn't exactly happy with how her mind had been swayed by the wants of both drow, one for entertainment and the other for sheer need. Surface elf morals were trying to rear thier ugly head and she was trying her best to beat them back down...she just needed to vent some. "I'm not doing it for you though, it's for Zahara." Because she didn't feel the need to give him the full satisfaction of letting him win.

There it was again, his mind brewing and stirring up and churning, all around to form the images and thoughts of Zahara in his head, oh great another wave of this foreign feeling to him that scared the hell out of him. He believe Malik had labeled it desire...though in his opinion, it bordered dangerous masochistic lust. WHy the hell was he indulging ideas of giving into her...or more frighteningly so of having her.

Though his thoughts were abruptly rocked once more as Zahara popped back in, and more or less advanced on him and then perched herself on the corner of the table nearest him. Why oh why. Red eyes wavered a moment and looked down to the long bare leg that was propped on his own chair, eyes following up some till they stopped at her daggers that were strapped to her thighs. Oh what a nice break for his thoughts.

But he looked back to her own eyes, watching violet depths a moment that seemed unguarded. That in itself was alluring and frightening at the same time. But he blinked and grasped for his senses as she asked her question. "I guess that's alright...go get your medium." Lloth help him...

Malik spun around and flung one of his aggressor into the dirt, looking up at Piper and holding out a hand to tell the others to pause, lest his reaction be spurred more by self preservation than enjoyment of exercise.

"By all means, she is your friend...why not give her a helping hand when you are able? I was a little suprised I'd have to even try to convince you with the getting even with sevilin and teh letting Zahara know what passion really was arguements built in."

A grin and a chuckle, yes he was being a smartass about it.

"Just have one of them, or I can if you prefer...spill somethign on his clothes. preferably something that is a bit rough to get out even with runic ability. then we can have him take it off, clean it, and you we can have that rune sticthed into the lining or such if we want."

Of course, now that he's worked out a bit, and shirtless, his skin had that glistened, like he'd been covered in oil look, and he knew it and let the light catch him in just the right ways.

"Anything else I can do for you, Chev'?"

"I've been surprising you a lot in the last week, haven't I?" Though she couldn't help but stare at him really, letting triple colored eyes rove as they pleased over him. Damn it...he had to screw with her head earlier, giving her a taste and left to make her want more. Yes, this proved it...he spoiled her horribly when it came to passion. Especially since leaving Neriak. More opportunities and less paranoias. Piper stood there like that a moment, staring, before she shook her head as her senses snapped back to her. "All I need to do is get him to hit me, and I can bypass his little runic defenses." That was idea? Yes it was...or she try and hit at him and he grabbed her. Point was she needed sudden skin to skin contact to perhaps work this best. "Of course we can try the shirt thing first...though I don'tenjoy the thought of even touching just his shirt for that matter." Could do it...stitch in an activation circle and the rune she needed, then activate it through contact. No matter how she didn't want to touch him, she was going to have to it seemed. Damn her low level runing. Though she sighed and walked over, only to pick up her book from the floor, though she was enjoying the view then too. "Anything you can do for me? I doubt it." Yes, she was playing hardball right back. "But you can be the devil in this plot...just don't use Keely." Poor thing hated taking Malik's often mischevious orders.

Her eyes widened and she smiled at him, it was almost hard to stifle the urge to throw her arms around his neck and just hug him...but where had that thought come from? She only hugged the imps it was like a rule with her, after all Drow didn't show affection and it would only put her into contact with him which was really the one thing she was attempting to avoid. When had her life become so complicated? Her life was divided into two sections now, the times she thought about Sevilin and the time she spent trying not to think about him. Ultimately he appeared in her mind but she scampered off to go get her solution and then right back to the table. By now she could draw the circle with her eyes closed and she quickly dispensed with that. Then she began to think of which runes she was going to do...but she leaned over the table and glanced back at him, smirking, "Test me Sevilin. Shout out a rune and I'll see if I can draw it and we'll see how many I get right. Practice for my actual test, you know?"

Peppy. Yes he though peppy would be the word that he would use to describe her change in attitude. Runes were an acquired taste, you either loved them or loathed them, most loathed more than loved. And here she was apparently loving them, perhaps as much as he did. He could remember the time when he was learning and had that enthusiasm. Now it was just politely subdued with maturity and other fateful changes his life took.

And that frankly drew a smile from him, one of those ones that was real and wasn't drow. Kind of lop sided with a certain charm to it, which he was probably daft to. Then again when it came to himself it seemed like Sevilin wasn't the best person to ask really. But he leaned back in his chair, hands resting on the arms of the chair casually, fingers drumming a moment in thought.

"Mock test...I suppose it won't be too much trouble." And he could always tweak her tests. But another little pondering look before setting aside books so he could see without distraction. "Alright then, let's begin. Shielding rune."

She caught that smile, the real one, the one that she'd never seen another drow display before. Piper used that smile, Malik had even used that smile on occassion...but never Sevilin. But that smile called to her, to something deep inside her and she wanted so badly to bring it out again, every day for the next five hundred years. And once again, where were these thoughts coming from?! But he quickly broke her of them when he said her first rune. Shielding...she had to cycle through the runes in her mind and was damn hard to do with him so close to her. She hadn't moved when she'd gotten her medium, indeed she was less than two feet from him and her body knew it. Shaky fingers formed the rune, a simple circle with the half moon that comprised the 'barrier' that made it the shielding rune. It activated, she felt it do so, and a shimmery wall, almost impossible to see appeared. Zahara had to squint and watch really closely to see if there was anything there. She wanted to swipe her hand out and see if she couldn't go past a certain point, but last time she'd smacked her hand and that had hurt.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 17, 2006 6:20 pm

Sevilin spare her the perhaps painful time of seeing if things were working, simply by forming a little fireball and flinging it, only to have it get stopped mid travel and have a splash affect before it seemed to be absorbed into the air when in fact that invisible barrier was in use and proper walking order. And look a that, Sevilin's first show that he did indeed know base magics and wasn't just limited to his runes as far as magics were concerned. Though he didn't even think about that.

A swipe of his hand to get rid of everything, the rune in her own little circle clearing off. "Very good." Praise was always a good thing now wasn't it. Though he looked at her a long moment then, eyeing her up and down slowly before his gaze moved back down and a hand reached out to her thigh, only to quicly snatch one of her daggers, trying not to linger or touch too long. It was set in the middle of the circle. "Shatter rune it. Just rune it and then step back."

Praise made her glow and she grinned when she saw him prove his own ability, filing that little aspect of him away. So he could use base magics and not just runes, well that was intriguing, now wasn't it? Though most drow, depending on parent's abilities could do simple magic at the very least. But she was proud of herself, she could do the shielding rune correctly on the first try. Immediate duh mode when his fingers brushed against her skin and she froze quickly then tried to regain her composure. He'd touched her..just that little brush so near the center of her desire had sent a spark of roaring fire fanning the dying embers right back into flame. Focus Zahara...focus. Shatter rune? She had to think for a moment but she quickly located the correct rune in her mind, scribed it and then stepped back closer to his shoulder, hovering and waiting to feel that now familiar activation tingle.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 17, 2006 6:46 pm

Watching that flare up of glow, and feeling the current through the air of the energy being used as he was so used to feeling, he reached out and picked up the dagger, holding it blade down in that about to stab something mode. Raising it up, he brought it down to the table with enough force to make the table shake slightly...and also shatter the blade of Zahara's dagger into several pieces, leaving only a hilt with a jagged piece of meal.

Though he could imagine her horror at that and frankly braced himself for her outburst about his travesty. All the while, he was picking up shards that had scattered across the table, placing them back into the circle she had created, along with the hilt. Though his own runic circled flicked to life around his feet, another target one on the table around Zahara's. She'd need a little help with this one. A run was scribed in the air, which was then transposed by its own accord to smaller versions on dagger pieces. "Draw rune."

Now what was he doing? Her using a draw rune would pull the pieces to each other, his litte added run was a regeneration rune. Since it was organic metal to the dagger shards, it would fuse back together, as if never broke. Though he hadn't taught Zahara that one yet, thus his interference.

"Aren't I always the devil?"

and back to practice, letting her see that nice, muscled form move, the play under the skin, the power he possessed though he had but a gymnast build..typical of elves. he moved with centuries of practiced, honed grace, a dancer amoung brutes, the jungle cat in his domain. of course while doing that and playing eye candy for his fiance'...through Malvolence was was already giving instructions.

So out came a young woman, dressed in similar green to Zahara's outfit, bringing out drinks. there were four on the tray, two wine glasses and two tea glasses. tea was set down though she was obviously a little off balance, and one wine glass was handed over toward Zahara, but she didn't keep her balance trying to balance three drinks on one tray and hand Zahara hers..and spilled the other three all over Sevilin's tunic. which got her that 'oh dear lord look' when she snatched a rag and tried to blot it out, near tears and begging to let her have the tunic to get it washed and cleaned and not to tell Malik about it.

PostPosted: Mon Apr 17, 2006 7:01 pm

Her reaction was simple, it shattered her quite effectively. Seeing that dagger lay in pieces her eyes popped wide and her mouth dropped open in that horrified 'deer in the headlights' look personified. "My dagger!" She needed that dammit! Her eyes narrowed and she turned to Sevilin ready to yank out the other and slice him with it when he told her to do a draw rune. Glowering at him she quickly did as he had asked and watched to see what would happen. And to her amazement as soon as both runes were scribed and activated her dagger came back together as seamlessly as it had been before it had been broken. It brought back a memory of the time she'd broken Malik's table and he'd brought it back together. She'd have to get him to show her that one. Reaching out to pick up the dagger, she examined it just to make sure and dismissed the slave girl until she bungled the only job she had to do. Watching her touching Sevilin, she turned on the slave girl with a vengeance, "You idiot! How hard is it to serve drinks?! You slaves are impossible." She was furious though she didn't stop to think about why, just jerked the rag from the girl and shoved her away. "You're going to smear it!" she yelled taking the cloth and shaking her head. "Take it off." Then realizing what she'd said her face filled with color though it was impossible to tell. "Easier to blot when you're not wearing it..." she said quickly.

"Not always, you can be an angel when you want to be." Yes, her dark angel that only she got to see. Oh and how she watched like a little school girl enjoying the action of the older boys as they rough housed and were showing off for the girls they knew were watching. Oh come now Piper...was she really acting like this? In twenty years and then some of being together, she didn't think she'd ever had a moment like this. Joy...something new, but Piper didn't particular love it. If anything...it was in an odd way wonderfully frustrating to feel heated and flustered, only to indulge in watching him as she was. Oh Piper, but he was corrupting you wasn't he, or she was just growing up more. Without all that play time of hers, she had more attention to focus on other things.

He gave one of those approving nods, ignorning her earlier yelling, after all he knew it had been coming.Though a side glance to the little servant girl who looked to be carrying more than she could handle and was playing appeasement to them both. Comfort offerings. But comfort didn't seem to be in the cards for Sevilin as he more or less got a tray of drinked dumped on him and then was being forced to deal with an upset little human. Vahrean help him. Though he had startled a little as she had taken to trying to clean it up and practically begging to let her right her wrong before Malik found out.

The girl was grabbed gently by the wrist and the other hand was held up to Zahara in that, wait a moment gesture as he let his own runing circles die down. She had jumped the little human, not that Sevilin cared for her feelings, but he didn't want the little one running off upset and by chain reaction Malik eventually taking him to task over Zahara's behavior. Seeing as she was basically his responsibility during lesson hours. A look down at the little one.

"Calm yourself down, hystrics will only make you more noticable." Another look to Zahara as she echoed the child's idea. For a moment he rolled the idea around in his head. Why the hell not, free laundry. So letting go of the girl and stepped her back slightly, hands took to first the belt that spanned his chest and back diagonally, usually where he rested his pole arm. Quickly unbuckled it was thrown to the table, the belt around his waist was undone and followed the other to the table top. Then idly going about unbuttoning his tunic and then shrugging it off to reveal the chain mail vest that was underneath. Tunic was duly held out to the girl.

And he rolled his shoulders a moment under chainmail that fit closely to his form for a sleek look, before turning back to Zahara. "Now where were we?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 17, 2006 7:25 pm

Well he was handling this very nicely now wasn't he? Must be nice...she certainly wasn't feeling calm about the whole incident. After all...well no she wasn't going to think about her reaction to that at all. And then he went about stripping, which she knew he was going to do but still, it was devastating to her senses to see it in action. She actually felt her knees go weak and she grabbed onto the corner of the table to keep her balance before she completely embarrassed herself. A deep breath was taken and she promised herself she wouldn't look, by Lloth don't look...and then she looked. Just like she'd thought, he was completely perfect, dark ebony skin stretched over muscles that bunched and moved when he rolled his powerful shoulders. and he no longer had on that belt which made his pants all the easier to come off and reveal the secrets that lay beneath. Her breath came in short spasms for a moment and she brought a hand up to her mouth trying not to make a complete fool out of herself. Male beauty laid before her like a feast and she felt like she hadn't eaten in her entire life. But she quickly pushed down her feelings and forced a shaky smile, praying her expressive eyes didn't give her away entirely. "Umm...mock test..."

Why was he so calm? Only because Malik had forwarned him about such accidents and he really didn't want to upset the thing, only to have himself put in an irritating situation. Besides...he was quite used to things being spilled and dumped on him. Take it in stride and move on. Though he did faulter in his own ease for a moment at the look he noted Zahara was giving him. Damn it all. Okay, he was glad he still had that common place chainmail vest on...yet again his mind chided that he wished he didn't, in fact let Zahara get rid of it for you as well...and then she- ack! No! Bad Sevilin, don't give into the trap.

"Right, mock test." Though he was really counting this one, but if she knew that the pressure to preform at top notch may get to her and she'd just blunder through the whole thing. Ignorance was best sometimes. He cleared his throat, shifting his weight to one leg. "Very well then, let's continue. Levitation."
