Kaguyo furrowed her brows. "I can't use my ki or Tarnb-jin abilities, or I would have used my winds to have gotten myself out of these messes and up and about. We don't. have. time, do you understand? C'mon, Chiba, Gemmi." she announced, trying to get out of bed. The minute she started to move she turned deathly pale, and slowly lowered herself back down without further protest. She felt sick to her stomach, sharp pains wracking her torso, and when she coughed, her hands were spotted sanguine. The puppy whimpered and cuddled up to her, burying his nose beneath her hand. The kitten curled up on her lap. "Nevermind." she spoke softly, sighing and closing her eyes. "Coming down from this hurts a lot worse than what Aled must have felt... He was sore he said, but for obvious reasons. He must really want to give the rats their dues in spades." she sighed again.
Morrigan nodded. "I can teach you a great deal, Maeve. I'm sure Kitaria will be skillful too. How soon might you want to start? Today or tomorrow? You did just come back after all..." she mused. "I could understand you wanting a break."

"Most people don't like rats," Fir said with a smirk as he entered the room. "Lay all sorts of traps an poisons. Tragic really." ------
Maeve shook her head. "No. I want to learn. Thom and I might not have the luxury of a few extra days, even one. I don't want us to be dead weight anymore."

Kaguyo suddenly lifted her head, looking to Fir and Ashuri. "Ohayou gozaimasu... I think... what time is it?" she yawned. "How are you?"
Morrigan nodded. "Right. Well, first we have to figure out what exactly your latent powers are." she began, looking at her closely. "Are you a healer... a charmer.... Hmmm..." -------
Fir smiled and sat down on a chair in the room. "Feeling better, I take it?" "Niether," Kitaria said shortly. "If I am correct in intreprtating this, you and Thom work together as summoners, though your brother seems to be capable of a fair bit of enchanting on his own." ---------
Morrigan nodded. "The written word." she murmured. "Of you both, you're obviously the one who would be working with poetry for instance. It's possible to cause an entire field of warriors to sleep with the right words..." she smiled secretly. She should know. "It would compliment your brother's latent abilities after all."
Kaguyo shook her head. "Better, but not good." she admitted quietly. Ashley says: "Hurts to move, to breathe.... I haven't eaten all day and I don't think I will for a while yet. No appetite whatsoever." --------
"You seem to have regained your memory," Fir said happily, "Looks like our medicine did that much, but it looks like Aled wasn't kidding about enhancing the drug. We'll have to fix that."
"I sing," Maeve suggested helpfully. Kitaria nodded. "That is good. Eara can give you more intruction than that. But I think more of the summoning possiblity with you and your brother. It is possible you will be able to call up many different spirits, by Thom's music and through your body they will be able to come to this world. If that is the case, Maeve, your own body needs extensive traiing in both martial, magical and mental arts so that whatever you call you will be able to handle it and use it to the best of your abilities." -------
Kaguyo looked at Fir as if he was daft. "Aled doesn't kid." she stated simply as if it was the most obvious thing in the universe. "When were you born again??" However she kept her eyes carefully trained on Fir. "Cut to the chase Rat-boy, what do you want."
Morrigan nodded. "Meditation... Perhaps astral work to strengthen your abilities of spirit..." she tapped a finger to her lip. "Kit, we'll share mental. You teach her martial, I'll teach her magic." --------
Kitaria nodded. "Agree. And Eara can work on musical arts with both of them, though Thom especially. If he can call up spirits with music...it's an exact and somewhat tricky art, with no margin for error."
"Um...what kind of things exactly do you think we will be...uh...summoning?"
Fir smiled and drew out a empty vial. "Just a little blood, that's all. We need to run some tests." -------
Kaguyo's expression went from friendly to cold and distrusting in less than half a second. "Go to hell." she cursed promptly, groaning as she forced herself out of bed. "Keep your ******** needles away from me, Vermin." She wasn't steady on her feet yet, only because of the after-affects. It was actually a rather revealing study of the possible afflictions, even without the blood. "Get out."
Morrigan thought carefully. "Gods... more likely Goddesses in your case. Earth devas. Wind devas. The spirits of the elements, fae." she added carefully. "You know, a faery can be controlled if you know their true name." --------
"And Thom and I wil be able to call them up and control them?" Maeve asked nervously. Kitaria nodded. "Yes, though it is a from of poessesion, Maeve. You two will most likely call up a spirit, perhaps even a soul that cannot come to this realm normally. The spirit will go into your body and stay there through the duration of the summoning. It will be your job to learn how to share your body with another."
Fir sighed. "Look. Babe. You look like s**t. You probably feel worse than you look. I have a specilist on the on the way who invented the drug in the first place. He can't come up with a cure, if he can't study what's wrong." --------
"My name isn't 'Babe'..." Kaguyo growled, although Kazuhiko silently couldn't disagree with Fir. "I don't care how you get it, just keep the ******** needles away." she warned. "Su-kun, tell him!" she protested. She was looking around already as if trying to strategize her quickest escape route. Aled wasn't the only one who wasn't kidding when he spoke. Kaguyo was in far too much pain to jest, even over petty things. ------
"Tsk, tsk. Why is everyone so grumpy?" Fir asked, smiling broadly.
"Probably becuase you are very good at clawing your way under people's skin," said a deep voice from the doorway. Julius had arrived. Like every Fir Darrig, the youth's preferred method of transportation was motorcycle. Unlike Pixel and Fir, he didn't look like it. He was dressed in black slacks and a light blue dress shirt, which contrasted nicely with his dark skin. He had a backpack slung across his shoulers, which he carefulyl set down by Fir and walked over to the bed. Smiling warmly, the youth held out a hand. "You must be Kaguyo. I'm Julius, head of Fir Darrig research and development. It's a pleasure to meet you." ------
Morrigan patted Maeve on the shoulder. "Do you ever see me when I invoke Morrigan the goddess into myself?" she asked the girl with a calm smile. "It would be like that, except that Thom and you would both work in tandem with your respected summoned spirits. However, it must be done with respect----inviting, rather than ordering."
Kaguyo didn't take his hand however, eying him suspiciously. "I'm not. Taking. Needles." she repeated herself, stepping back towards the window. "How should I even trust the lot of you when you seduced my enemy?" ------
Julius sighed and put down his hands. "I apologie. Fir Darrigs uses rather...unconvential methods then what people are normally used to. But I am the one who came up with the drug in the first place. If you would like, you can look through my journals and review my work. The fact is, if your looking a cure, the only other person you could go to, besides myself, is Aled."
He said all of this with his typical gentle demeanor. Though Julius was taller than both korreds and more muscular than Fir, there was something in the ay he carried himself and spoke, that was completly non-threating, the 'teddy-bar' like quality Eara had observed. "Please, you can have Ainsu and others observe the procedure if you wish. I'll I'm goig to be doing is taking a few blood samples to we can figure out what Aled did to you."
"And if we call up a spirit that isn't so friendly?" Maeve asked worriedly. "hopefully, that will not happen," Kitaria said, "Which is why Thom wil be also undergoing extensive studying. It is a tricky art you two seemed to have aquired." -------
"You don't understand." Kaguyo shook her head. "I don't. Do. Needles. I just don't. I don't." She was beginning to look awfully pale, betraying a tremble as she held herself up at the window sill. The pain piercing her torso was immense, and her breathing had rapidly increased. Naturally this caused another coughing fit, and she spit bloody mucus into the garbarge can with all the gusto of a fierce male warrior, bitter. "You obviously don't understand, but I can't say yes. I'd love to, but no. No way. No way in hell."
Morrigan nodded. "Very tricky. You'll start out with gods, divine beings first. They're more benevolent. High energy, yes, but it wouldn't be good to risk anything else yet." -------
"Okay," said Maeve neervously. "So...to do that...won't Thom have to play a specific song?" Kitaria smiled. "Yes, yes he will."
"Ms. Kaguyo, please sit down," Julius said kindly. "If you aren' comfortable, I have a few options. I can give you a sedative to knock you out through this. Or if you prefer to stay concious..." He held out a hand to her. "You can feel free to squeeze scratch, bite or whatever else you need to." -------
Kaguyo still wasn't taking the bait; it was clear that she was extremely untrusting at this point. She edged around, glancing back out the window. It wasn't that far down.
"And how exactly do you intend to sedate me?" she asked warily, knuckles whitening. "You don't get it, do you??? I'm ******** terrified of needles----not to the point I'd rather see Aled, but no, no, no, no, no. No. No. It's not happening." she protested. "It's not."
Morrigan smiled. "But you're getting ahead of yourself. First you have to prepare yourself for taking such a guest into yourself... Cleaning house, in a way." she smiled warmly. "It'll be hard, but not too too hard. It might be exhausting afterwards though." -------
Maeve thought about this for a moment, then nodded. "I'll do it," she said firmly. "Whatever it takes, I'll do it."
Julius sighed, though he didn't move from his spot. He didn't adavnce on the woman in any way. "You can swallow a pill, or breathe in a bit of prepared gas. Either one. I've used them on Fir before, their perfectly safe. Miss Kaguyo, I don't want to cause you anymore distress, but if I don't get a blood sample, there's not a lot I can do. There are ways around it, but they take much longer, and I don't whatever Aled has done toprogress much further than it already has." -------
Kaguyo seemed to calm slightly. "Pill." she declared softly. "I... I can't do masks anymore either, not like this." True, her voice was rather course and gritty, but she was also coughing up blood. She apparently didn't react well to the gas whatsoever.
Morrigan nodded. "Alright. Kitaria, who trains her in what first?" ------
"Alright," Julius said, gesturing for the woman to sit back down on the bed. He reached into his backback and dew out a small jar of pills, unscrewing the lid and shaking out two on his hand. "They're chewable," he told the woman. "Strawberry flavour...at Fir's instiance. But the effects kick n quickly."
Kitaria looked from Maeve to Morrigan and then glanced back to Gwyllion. "Start preparing her mind," she told the woman. "I still have some work to do before I begin working with her." ------
Kaguyo staggered over to the bed again, wincing slightly. For the most part she was doing a fantastic job of hiding her suffering of the side-effects. Ainsu, naturally, could feel otherwise, and would have known better. She gave a deep sigh of relief, sinking into the mattress. "Alright." she spoke quietly, taking them from him and pondering them quietly. "I suppose here goes nothing, eh?"
And without further hesitation, she took the pills, chewing them and swallowing them with a little difficulty. "Damn him..." she growled quietly, though it was hard to tell whether she was referring to Fir or Aled. Ashley says: Morrigan nodded. "Alright." she placed her hand on Maeve's shoulder. "C'mon, Maeve. Let's go to the lounge upstairs, alright? We'll need some silence if we're going to start meditating." -------
"Okay," Maeve said, rising from her chair and allowing Morrigan to lead her rom the room.
Julius just smiled and held the woman's hand gently, waiting for the drugs to kick in. Until then, he wasn't goign to be so much as looking at a needle. -------- But Kaguyo's hand instinctively sought out Ainsu's. In the room, save for Po-ar to a degree, he was the only one she trusted. She kept as close to him as possible, knowing that he would keep her safe regardless of what happened. It wasn't long before she had passed out entirely, and though she looked peaceful, it wasn't hard to tell the sort of suffering she was enduring. Already the nightmares were starting again, her eyes moving rapidly beneath her lightly close eyelids.
Morrigan lead her upstairs and through the halls, selecting a relatively silent room and sitting down on the floor. "Sit down, cross your legs." she instructed her quietly. "Remove any jewelry, hair ties, anything of that sort. The stones and metal can sometimes interfere with this sort of thing."
------ Once the woman had passed out, Julius quickly prepared to tke a blood sample, tying off the woman's arm, just above her elby and taking out a needle and several vials. He wiped down the area around the crook of her arm, sterliing it. From there came the needle itself. Quickly he insterted the needle into the vein and in no time at all, the youth had three vials of blood lying besides him and was bandaging the small hole in her arm.
Maeve nodded and did what she was told, removong her pony tail holder, allowing her hair to hang down loose over her shoulders. She took off a small pendant and placed it besides the hair tie, sitting down on the floor just like Morrigan had done. ------
Kazuhiko sighed in relief---Kaguyo was going to be out for a while. "I think she needs healing." he spoke up, raising a hand. "She looks like a ghost, Juli...----what's your name again?" he frowned. "Julia??? Juli-san?"
"Now, close your eyes." Morrigan instructed her softly. "Do you know anything about chakras?"
-------- "Only what I've read, which isn't much," Maeve said softly, closing her eyes.
The youth smiled. "Julius," he said slowly and clerly. "You must be Kazuhiko."

Ainsu sighed as he held Kaguyo gently. "Was that really nessecary?" he asked, looking to Julius. "No, it wasn't." Po-ar replied, having been temporarily distracted by a conversation with Ashuri. "I could have opened very very small portals within Kaguyo and had the blood flow out... though it might have been exposed to the air... in which case..." "We get it, Po-ar-kun." the playwright replied with a smile. "But at least this way, Kaguyo-chan will be resting more, instead of trying to train again." Ashuri laughed, "True."

"Of that I've no doubt." Po-ar replied. "It's just..." "Just like Kaguyo-chan said." Ainsu stepped in. "She hates needles, and the last day or so has been a little traumatic. I don't like having to make it moreso, even for something this important."

Julius nodded. "Pixel filled me in. I apologize. I didn't know she had a fear of needles. But that's why I brought some other things, just in case. I should have our medic ship over some other materials. We developed a drug awhile back that helps with nightmares."

"That was actually the plan," Julius said pleasently. "Pixel's back at Base, running all the operations right now. My thanks for allowing me to use your lab."
He certainly was a complete 360 from Fir, and even his co-lutentiant. He dressed normally, was respectful and polite and definatly not obessed with sex. How he had gotten in with the Fir Darrigs and risen so high in the ranks was a mystery.
