The Marine testing facility tests from initiation on to doing the Acolyte initiation rites. The beast is just a hurdle the test over watchers can throw in to add an extra challenge to the one who is surviving the initiation into the training. The one their heading to now is a live munitions combat scenario that pit have of the graduating class against the other half. Survivors go on to become full fledged Marines. They have full access to all Marine equipment so it tends to be a very bloody battle.

Yeah, that was a good movie. I still need to see Saw 4, but I have yet to get the time or chance.

I'm leaving the decision up to Ryu, as I am not sure where he wants to take the plot from here, but it is not a half-bad idea, seeing as that would bring her right to the emperor while showing him what she is capable of. I still want to do the maid thing later though

I got Warhammer 40K Soulstorm today. And I must say, the Sisters of Battle(Adeptus Sororitus) are amazing. They rely primarily on infantry and siege weapons(my favorite combat style). But I have never seen an orc horde retreat so fast in all my time playing Dawn of War.

You don't have to know much about Warhammer 40K. Fortis is heavily based on it, not a replica though.

Quick run down for the RP:

Space Marines: Genetically and physiologically enhanced super soldiers, many hundreds of years old and have all seen tremendous amounts of battle. Veteran status is gained through surviving and winning in battles with insurmountable odds stacked against them. Rely heavily on small units of very powerful infantry, heavy armor, and artillery to annihilate their foes. Relentless battle hardened, they believe the only way to achieve salvation is through utterly destroying the emperors enemies or to die trying, which is the ultimate honor in ST. Motto is "To their deaths! Or to our own!"

Imperial Guard: Basic infantry of the Empire. Non enhanced easily killed infantry. Relies mainly on overwhelming with infantry in mass numbers and the fire power brought to bare from the most powerful armored battalions in the Empire. High infantry mortality rate. Since a decrease in man power, they have been resigned to occupational duties

The Necron: Powerful mechanical beings made of living metal. At one time they were a race of organic beings until to preserve themselves to feed their Gods, the C'Tan, they transfered their souls to their new bodies. Many of which remain next to soulless, only driven on by their base desire, to rid the planet of all life. Main tactics are excessively powerful hit and run tactics. They use fast but powerful armored units, and few slow, but incredibly durable infantry. Also, their commander can revive any fallen units and can easily overwhelm and entrenched enemy who are causing massive losses on the Necron side. They also have very powerful siege weapons called Pylons. They can be teleported into a location. Then when activated they target buildings and vehicles and jam other teleportation devices, hindering escape. Very devastating to infantry.

As for the story I was going to start the major battle between the two sides. Op Heavens Fall being the assault and God's Wrath being a rescue operation.

And no, I have no idea if filelodge is back up. I would assume it is, but I haven't tried yet.
