Ginji started laughing as Team Frost escaped with Jirachi and the heat wave melted the ice around him. "I think it's battle time!" he yelled as he grabbed a Pokeball and a grunt by the collar.

Ren called out his larvesta, and it started melting the ice "Those bastards. They let us do the work and show up! We've got to make them pay!"
Kasumi used her ability to control weather to super-heat the cave, and speed up the ice from melting.

Maddy burst into flame, instantly melting away the ice around her legs. She took a Pokeball from her pocket and tackled down a grunt, forcing him into a battle with her.

It took a few moments more, but then Ren and Kasumi were free and they each targeted a Frost grunt and tackled them, choosing their opponents.

Dark jump tackles a grunt and they roll a few feet. The grunt then break free from Dark and sends a Pokemon out to help him.
"Go Weavile!"
Volcarona flutters over to her trainer.
"Pulzar, Quiver Dance!"
"Weavile Night Slash!"
The Weavile slashes Volcarona, doing decent damage as the large fire bug boosts it's special attack, special defense and speed.
"Heatwave!"
Volcarona blasts the Weavile with immense heat before the Pokemon could attack and it faints.
"Oh no Weavile!" The grunt stomps the ground and recalls his Pokemon. He then sends out a Dewgong.
"Volcarona Fire Blast!"
Pulzar blasts the Dewgong with a wave of searing heat, knocking it out.
The grunt recalls his Pokemon and retreats, well aware he couldn't win.

Maddy sent out Reshiram as the grunt sent out a Beartic.
"Reshiram! Use Fire Blast!"
Reshiram let loose a large blast of fire, hitting Beartic right in the chest and KO'ing it.
The next Pokemon sent out was a Glalie.
"Too easy. Reshiram, use Flame Thrower!"
The great white dragon inhaled and breathe out a steady stream of red hot flame, engulfing the smaller Ice Pokemon. Glalie was also KO'd.
Maddy returned Reshiram, seeing her opponent had no remaining Pokemon, and went back to the others.

"Larvitar, Thrash!" Ginji yelled as he tossed a Frost Grunt his way. The little Pokemon knocked the boy out cold. "It's all about the fines little guy." he smirked as the ice melted all around him. "It's all about the ice to you guys?" he asked. "So why Jirachi?" he interrogated. "It just doesn't add up..." he said. "Something isn't right. But I guess it doesn't matter now." he said, still chuckling to himself.

"Snowy" Kasumi called out her snover as Ren and Kasumi were pushed off of the two frost grunts.
The grunts sent out swinub and a smoochum.
"Flame Wheel" Ren ordered, pointing at Smoochum
"Wood Hammer!" Kasumi ordered.
Smoochum and swinub were ordered to use powder snow, and the attacks clashed, the flame wheel from the spinning larvesta melted through the ice and stuck smoochum har, and the wood hammer. despite type disadvantage, overpowered swinnub's attack and struck hard for two one hit knock outs.
Larvesta and Snover momentarily pulled back to see if their opponents had more pokemon to call out.

"Yeah freezing the world makes no sense," Dark says as he walks up to Ginji. "At least Aqua and Magma had... A LONG LOOOONG time ago had motives of the same nature. But a bit more land and or sea made sense."
He crosses his arms and looks at the unconscious grunt. "Now how about we wish for something awesome..." His next thoughts remain inside his head.

"Don't we need to get Jirachi back first?" Kasumi asked Dark, she directed heat energy at the remaining ice, except around snover.

"Right! Away!" Ginji yelled as he hopped on top of Dragonite and headed off in search of Jirachi, and the runner who had stolen it away from them. The snow at the mouth of the cave had melted enough to allow them to escape with minimal difficulties.

"I suppose we would," Dark says to Kasumi as he hops onto his Volcarona. Her Quiver Dance was still in effect so Volcarona and her trainer were right on Ginji's tail soon.

Ginji smiled as they approached the man, still running. "3...2...1..." Ginji called out as the sleeping Jirachi was engulfed in flames and disappeared, Ginji laughing his head off. "Yes Darky, I suspected an ambush too, however I added a time delay to the spell circle, reversing if Jirachi leaves the cave within the certain amount of time." the teen continued smiling. "However... it used the last of the ingredients and we can't redo the spell for another 500 years... so... we'll need to find Jirachi another way..." he sighed deeply as the runner swore below them. "Anyways... back to the drawing board." he sighed as he headed back to HQ.

Ren and Kasumi called back their pokemon and raced after Dark and Ginji and caught up in time to see Jirachi disappear. Kasumi groaned at what Ginji said "Well, that just sucks, but at least they can't get their insane wish."
Ren sighed "I guess we'll need to do a lot of reading. They can't be allowed to succeed."
