Julian returned to the carnival games, this time with Lumi at his side. When he had suggested they go somewhere a little less exciting, he had actually been thinking of maybe the Fearis Wheel, but that could wait. They could run the games gambit and then go there. It'd be a good chance for them to... have a much needed talk.
First came the duck pond and his little buddies.

Julian snatched his hand back from the one that had tried to bite him, frowning at it. Apparently that one wasn't his buddy.
Nor was the second one he'd tried to pick up. His frown turned from one of frustration to concern.
"I don't get it, they've liked me all evening..." Did he sound a little forlorn? Maybe.

Feeling just the teeniest, tiniest, itty bitty baby bit down after witnessing such a joyous practice union, Belladonna felt that maybe visiting the duckies would make her feel less down. The fact that a little vampire duckling waddled into her hand was nice, but she had a very important question for the ducks.
"Do ducks marry other ducks?"
They blinked at her.

RING TOSS
No more certain of ducks' ritual involving marriage, the witch moved on to the next game. This involved rings, which did not make her forget marriage any more than she had before, so she quite hastily tossed all the rings given to her away. She did not do so well, given she randomly tossed them, but hey! She didn't do TERRIBLE!

And since she had not tried the expert level of this balloon popping game, the witch figured it was worth a literal shot. In all honesty, it wasn't the worst shot ever, either! The witch was quite proud of those two balloons she had hit, because hey that had been hard ok!?

Lumi had happily followed Julian back to midway games. Wondering about everything else on top of the fact that she was really actually happy she was here with him even though she wasn't sure where they stood. Watching him play the ducks she decided she would as well. Grabbing at one she happily picked one up and noticed a different ribbon.

RING TOSSHe shook his head and gave her a reassuring little smile.
"I'm okay, really. Just a little n**," he replied with a shrug. He couldn't help but laugh a little before continuing, "Looks like they like you more than they like me right now."
Julian couldn't figure out what was wrong with the ducks. Maybe it was because he was sort of distracted. He was trying to think of what he'd say to Lumi, after all.
It was also why, when they got to the ring toss game, he finally gave up on actually trying to aim and just sort of threw them, hoping he'd get lucky.

"I guess they haven't really liked me earlier...then again I think I might have scared them...I didn't actually yell at them yet..."Watching him play the ring toss she clapped,
"So much better then me...or..."Her ears twitched at the sound of each ring, she managed to get four of them on which was way better then normal blinking she smiled happily,
"You are my lucky ticket I've been missing you this whole time!"Of course she didn't think about what she had said prior to actually saying it.
