Aleron almost laughed. Almost. "Look around you. The wars, this whole...s**t-bowl....do you think anyone really cares about what we should and shouldn't do anymore? What's creating a new race? They'd be more animal then human anyway, stick to themselves....give animals a better chance in life too. But not all, of course. There's no need to make, say, some sort of farm-animal human-esque. I'm thinking more different species of cat...and dog." he said, looking to Mace.

Miya stayed pensive, contemplating the points Aleron had brought up. The world they were in...it was crap. Industrialization and mechanization had taken over, leaving nature in the dust. "...Perhaps give some of the more intelligent animals a head-start to take over once this batch of overly-destructive humanoids annihilates themselves," she added quietly, her addition to his train of thought able to be taken as an agreement.

Aleron nodded. "Give the world back to the plants an animals. To who deserve it." he simply stated, and agreed. There wasn't much more to say then that. Mace sort of gave Miya a look, surprised she didn't think he was nuts for thinking that could be possible.

Miya nodded, lightly scratching behind Macie's ears. "Humans...humanoids...animals...even plants and microbes...they're all the same when you get down to the basics. They all live and take in nutrients and further their species. The only thing that sets humans and humanoids apart from all the others is that they've gotten to the point that they think they're better than all the others...too arrogant to remember that even animals and plants can feel things like pain..." she spoke quietly, both to Aleron and Macie, the last part in particular explaining why she agreed with him.

Gin was sleeping peacefully for once. Somone was holding her hand, warm and comfortable. She shifted slightly in her sleep starting to even purrr faintly. The murmmuer of voices, not worried or frantic. Helped her sleep peacefully.
In short this was just what she was needing, no alarms, no frantic calls, no darkness. She'd sleep untill somone come woke her, or she finally felt like she'd caught up on her sleep. Her ears flicked back and forth in responce to Miya and Aleron and Mace. She wasn't really listening, but the voices made them twich and swivle as if she were.

"Alright," Mio replies to Aurora. He glances at the two skeletons and shudders before asking, "Could...one of you move those out of here?"
An idea occurs to him then, and he gets up to search the strewn scraps of clothing, doing his best to avoid the skeletons. He finds what he was looking for, a data-card in what had once been a pocket, as well as some keys to the drawer of the desks in the room. Nodding, he takes the items back to the desk and inserts the card into a slot in the terminal.
"Thought so..." he says, a hint of triumph in his tone. The card had belonged to the director, and he'd had clearance to know more than could be left on the terminal. Of course, the person had chosen a simple password, and soon the Cathan had access to the files. He peruses them while working on hacking into the systems controlling the hangar doors.

Misha looks at the skeletons and holds her hand out to the Captain, "Flame thrower please... I want no surprises with thsoe things..." holding her shotgun out with her other hand not wanting one of them to be unarmed in a time like this but definately not wanting to take and chances since those things could reanimate flesh and bone...

Aurora switches weapons with Misha. had she just said 'please'? If only she did that more often. If only anyone in this crew did...

Misha looked over her shoulder, "Mio watch out flaming two targets. anything near them you dun want fried?" she was pretty handy with weapons of this nature if for no other eeason she had once worked in a Langus Mine and it was hell trying to mine with the drones running around all the time...

Mio was muttering to himself as he read through the files on the data-card while working on overriding the bridge's priority code over the hangar doors, "Flight plan...flight plan... cargo manifest...hm, special shipment..." Clues, but nothing definite about what the scientists had been doing here. Apparently the Hangar Director had been bright enough to keep any information as vague as possible even on his card.
Of more interest was a file that was a journal of sorts. He opens it to the last entry, and the picture of a well-fleshed, bearded face appears in a window and begins speaking aloud for everyone in the office to hear, "It's been about two weeks since the scientists allowed their precious experiments to escape. I wish I'd never taken their bribes to keep quiet, nor listened to their talk about how it would make a better tomorrow. Kev had just about got one of the shuttles that had crashed capable of flying us out of here, but his work was smashed, as well as his body, when a giant brute of those...things, climbed in from the station's exterior. Molly and I are left huddling here in the office with the power off. Hopefully rescue will come before it's too late...what was that?" The face looks off to the side, and the window goes black.

Aurora stares at the screen, frowning. "Well...that was creepy..." she remarks. "What do you make of it, Mio?"

Mio blanches when Misha talks of frying the skeletons. "I don't think flaming them is necessary, they didn't move when I went near them..." he says to her.
After the video, the Cathan shakes his head slightly and replies to Aurora, "I would presume the two skeletons belong to the Director and Molly, whomever she was...and that they've been dead a good couple weeks..." Swallowing and taking a shaky breath, he adds,"It's also...probable...that what attacked Aleron, Mace, and Misha here was...well, had been their fleshy bits..."
He was still working on hacking the door controls as he speaks, and Mio concentrates on that task a few moments to center himself again before saying, "Anyway, from the data-card here and what the Director said in that vid, the researchers here had something they didn't want known by the G.R.S. at large. I would presume that whatever it was, it caused the...outbreak."

Aleron pipped in, but hadn't thought if he might make them jump from his sudden insertion to the conversation. "Seems like all he more reason to get to that lab. Is that on the maps you now have access to, Mio, or will we still need the girl's direction?" he asked.

Mio would startle at Aleron's voice suddenly coming over the comm. "That's a negative," he replies, voice slightly shaky from being startled, "As I said before, only have a basic map for the Habitat deck, but it at least shows a way to the elevators leading down."

Aleron would smile a little to himself. "Sorry, Mio. Didn't realize you were still shaken." he apologized, then sighed. "ooof course. Couldn't be that easy, right?" he said, shaking his head as he looked over at Gin and the girl behind him.
