X-Yami-no-Ko-X CalledTheRaven Man my hip has been out of whack since this weekend. cat_gonk Too much dancing? Quote: Apeaking of this weekend, Yami, thought you might be interested to know that the woman who left in a huff, mid-festivities, thinks she's Sekhmet. And she like to demonstrate this by doing things like chasing laser pointers... stare cat_eek cat_gonk question emotion_facepalm In that order. First, why? Second, I like to chase laser pointers. Does that make me a feline goddess too? I'm weird I know. I had to hide the laser pointers because Zane liked to tease me with them. But, yeah... To me there was just something about her. I was actually relieved when I found out she had left. Oh and Zane's talking about trying to make it to the next one. emotion_facepalm Can't tell if it was because of who I went with or because I kept saying it was so much fun. I don't even know. Probably becase it's edgy and cool! She seems to like attention.

I saw Thor 2 yesterday - Loki reminded me of what my little brother does when I'm playing video games. It was rather funny. I agree about Chris Hemsworth though. We breed them well down here in Aus... xd

I need your guys help! So I've jumped into a conversation about wicca and pagan in another guild. Its not pagan centered, its just a girls only sort of chat and fun and games and stuff. Anyway, I jumped in stating that I'm learning and have tarot cards and also clearly said that I was interested in learning more of my own native traditions here with a mix of shamanism and magic of a sort. Still just reading all I can and learning, so I'm not set in my path just yet. More experimenting.
Okay! So now that i've said that, a few other girls posted about being wiccan and having friends that were wiccan and etc talking about telepathy and other things. This was a bit of a red flag for me~ I then went about linking to gaia threads and quotes mostly from here and then the threads where the exact same conversations and debates popped up! I did not want to have to explain anything as I'm terrible at it right now, but was firm in saying that wicca or being wiccan is a title and must be earned through a coven and etc. Mostly quoting from what others previously said. sweatdrop
I'm afraid it seems I've ran into a girl that doesn't want to hear it, and says stuff lyke "I do not care for links.
I want to see quotes from scriptures and legitimate texts." Ugh. Stubborn people I can not handle. My plan is to just leave it and wait to see if anyone else wants to cut in or change the subject. I've tried to change the subject already, and didn't work. I'm a fail! gonk

Many religious and spiritually important texts are available online so linking would be the easieast way to quate them. Also, not all faiths had scriptures, so such quotes don't exist. Others are oathbound. Some we don't know if they have a text or not because again, oathbound.

Yeah. I just sort of gave up after I linked a bunch of stuff. She's just set in calling herself Wiccan. Eh. I suppose not everyone is up for changing their point of view and sources of information. She even linked a page from about.com. its not a bad starting point. I too used that site, but after talking here on Gaia with others. Its best to question what your reading and not take it all seriously.
Maybe I should point that out too. That everything online is not all true and to open your mind to other ways of thinking. Hm.

Hm~ Well I joined Aeclectic Newsletter and got this free download on how to read tarot and learning! I love it~ however, I'll have to adopt it to my own deck, which is very different than the rider-waite (smith) deck which they mention quite a bit. The meanings for the cards in that deck and my own are very different. I've compared them online in their site. But its not uncommon with different decks. Phew! So much to learn, and its just about Tarot and using them as a means of divination. //wipes sweat. ♥ Always a fun time reading and learning though~ Next up, buying Tarot Books.
Oh, they've suggested a journal as a means of understanding and becoming familiar with your deck. I want to try this, and do a one card read for my learning process. Sounds lyke fun. I'm a natural student, and always a student. Eager to learn all that I'm drawn too //she hops about in a good mood.

Learning is something that should never be confined to children but everyone. Learning things throughout one's life and always remaining curious is something everyone should do. It's good brain exercise. 3nodding
