Julian froze as his fathers voice echoed into his mind. He frowned, wishing that Seth hadn't confided in him. The three of them were risking quite a bit...and should his father discover their plans, he would be beyond furious...though they were doing it for him. As it was, Julian touched his side where claws had racked him from an earlier trip. Though, with how things were going, he was grateful that Seth had turned to the demon for help as well...they were going to need all the help they could manage. He needed to see his father but he was hoping it would be in brief passing. Seth and Gabriel had already left, and Julian had his own part in the plans. He would need to leave soon as well though he knew that he would need to tell his father about Nathan first. With a sigh, he frowned and sent a mind call back to his father. :I am on my way.:

Lyra sighed but let Lucid lead her into the room. With a grin, she sank into one of the love-seats near the fire and reached out, grasping Lucid's wrist she pulled him toward her.

Lucid sank into the love seat alongside Lyra, pulling her swiftly onto his lap. He leaned against the pillows, thinking over the events that took place just moments ago. Something wasn't right and he felt it. He just could decide what it was. With a small sigh, he lifted his hand to Lyra's face, his fingers caressing her cheek gently. "Comfy?"

Lyra tilted her head back and smiled up at Lucid, shifting slightly until she was more comfortable. "Yep..now."

Julian leaned against the door frame and mentally took in the scene of his father sitting with a woman cuddled in his lap. Frowning, he watched his fathers face, wondering at his feeling for the Lyra. Crissy would probably adore her as a new mother figure. He tried to think briefly on how he would feel about it, but wasn't sure. To be truthful he thought his father could do better. "Comfortable?" he asked quietly, still somewhat amazed by the fact that even his voice sounded like his fathers at times.

Without looking over at Julian, Lucid nodded. "Very much so." he said, a smile gracing his lips. "I was told you were looking for me. Is this true?"

"I was...I need to leave for a few days. First I wanted to make sure you were aware that I was gone so you could keep an eyes on Shayendra." he paused and turned his gaze to the fire. "Second, an old friend of ours showed up looking for us. I invited him to stay for a while and told him that I would be back in a few days. I hope that is alright?" Julian voice didn't change, with the exception of softening slightly at the use if his sisters pet name.

Lucid's gaze lifted from Lyra and he studied his son intently. "Gabriel and Seth just left as well." he said. He'd felt them leave the grounds just moments before in unison, and now his other son was leaving too. Something was up. "Where will you be going?"

"To collect a few things from the old estate. As well as retrieve a few scrolls from the vampirian council for Christiana. A favor she asked of me a few days ago. Small errands really." Julian answered, all of them had other plans in mind, they knew should Lucid ask them out right that lying would not be an option. So everything he said to his father was true. "I really shouldn't be gone long." he continued with a shrug. "Will my friend staying here be a problem or did you just need me for something?"

Lucid studied his son carefully. Something was amiss, but since he still had no clue what, he let it slide. "Your friend may stay as long as he keeps out of trouble. You know the rules, Julian, thus I expect him to as well." he said after a long moment. "Just be careful."

"Yeah...not a problem. I left him with Crissy so he should be fine. Names Nathan...and the only thing you might have to worry about is him eating you out of house and home. Oh..and the full moon is tomorrow..that might be a little touchy too." Julian grinned and straightened, then turned, heading out.

Lucid frowned at the mention of the full moon, but brushed it aside. "Julian," he called. "When you return, you will tell me what is really going on here." He made it a statement, not a question, trusting that his son would hear the warning in his voice.

Julian didn't pause in stride, and as he couldn't think of a suitable answer for his father, he simply lifted his hand to let Lucid know that he had been heard. Making his way out of the Haven, he frowned as he looked over the plains. Briefly he skimmed the surface of his twins mind, smiling slightly when he felt her laughter. Nathan always had been good for her. She hadn't been informed of what was happening, and he would have to keep his mind closed from her..something he didn't enjoy doing. Shaking his head, he shrugged it off, using preternatural speed he became a blur over the plains.

Nathaniel's laughter died down a bit, and he frowned at the window where the heavy curtain had been drawn back to let in the moonlight. It would be full tomorrow night, and he would be a wolf again. Just for the night, but it would still be a very long night.

Crissy laughter faded and as she watched the man sitting across from her so did her smile. "Nathan? What is it? Is something wrong?" she asked quietly. Following his gaze she also looked out over the night sky. The wind was gentle, teasing the end of the heavy curtains, though the breeze was barely strong enough to even make the fabric sway. The sky was broken by clouds, the darkness and stillness of midnight had settled over the land. Signaling the time for the nocturnal to come out and play.
