Harvested Sorrow Hehe....I know what a soprano is. Beyond that...yeah. ^^;;; Think really high and really smooth sounding.
^_^ Incase anyone wanted to know, my performance today went very well. I was a bit shakey at first (which didn't help with my vibrato at all), but in the end, my voice held true....^^;;; first time I got applause in church in a long time too...I think everyone realized this was my 'comeback' Sunday ^^;;; but you know, it was all for the glory of God...^_^ I'm just glad I can sing in public without my voice craking...

Meh...even if people *haven't* gone beyond their range....they still sound a bit shrieky to me sometimes. There's just a certain point where if someone goes any higher it becomes annoying to my ears, no matter how beautiful the voice is.
I like a nice, RESTRAINED soprano for that reason. xp Albeit, due to the need for drama in opera...that doesn't happen.... gonk

But I have trouble controlling my voice; I even have a slight stutter when I'm just speaking, and my voice is low and scratchy-squeaky anyway. I bought my textbooks for my Music Theory and Music History classes yesterday afternoon. I have three heavy books for History, two more for Theory, and a set of Renaissance and Baroque CDs for History. And that's without my History of Europe books and my massive Chemistry tome... I'm probably going to keep my two Theory texts; mostly because I've scrawled all through the first one (both are by Turek). I might keep this huge Music History book too (from Norton).

Strangely enough people who have large stuttering problems can usually sing...I don't know if this is true, but I've heard that it's because stuttering is caused by difficulty of getting into the rhythm of speaking, but when you're singing music provides the rhythm for you. If I COULD sing, I'd be a bass for sure...my voice fits that range naturally. However..I may be tone deaf for all I know, I've never had a chance to test myself, so it may not even be possible. gonk

O.o wow...you know. I had a friend in HS who had a suttering problem, and she had some difficulty singing at first, but as she trained more, she was able to control her stutter and sing.
XD As for text books? I kept all my music ones...they're great for going back and referencing, especially when doing lesson plans. ^^;;;;

xd I stutter. A lot. The foreign exchange students can't understand me because I'm either stuttering, talking too fast, or speaking gibberish. Same with my classmates. The only people who can actually understand me are my friends and a Romanian exchange student. gonk

I''m a Gaia Towns beta tester.
Just FYI.
o___o I have no idea why they picked me, or anyone else for that matter.
Now if only the other testers would stop bragging, and everyone else would stop whining and complaining. xp
I can''t get to anywhere other than the Barton Town hub anyway for now. (You can see it if you look for one of the Otakon info threads; people took pictures.) --
I got my cello fixed yesterday. It wasn''t broken; I just needed the soundpost reset and the strings tightened because I took it on the plane with me to college and you need to knock down the soundpost and slacken the strings to release all tension, and then pad it in the case with foam chunks.
I wish our music hall was open later at night. >_<

Fai_the_airheaded_genius confused Where did you put your cello on that plane? What''s Towns like? Glitchy? I put it in checked baggage. Towns? Glitchy? Oh yes. As I said, I and a lot of other people can't even get past the Barton Town hub into a town.
