Bonjour!
Dia dhuit!
Is mise Maedhbh. Ta me tri bliana deag daois agaus ta me in a gconai i Baile atha Cliath. Is brea liom hocai(sp?), riomhaire agus art(I forgot what art is in Irish. xp )
Anyways, I'm Maedhbh. I'm thirteen and I live in Dublin. I'm friends with sweet_lolli_pop (I introduced her to Gaia. cool ) and I go to school with her.
I love field hockey(Goalie powah! mrgreen ), art, drawing, art, Gaia, art, Interenet, computers, green, black, orange, blue, art, pink, art and video-games. I also live in a "cute little penninsula" off the east coast of Dublin. I am in first year in secondary school and....Ummm....Oh yeah! I'm literate and I say "Ummm" and "Graaah!" a lot. mrgreen heart

Bonjour!!!lol,Just kidding.But seriously I am taking french. Well I've been looking up my heritage a lot and I want to know a whole lot more about Ireland!!^ ^ My Grandfather came here from Ireland,so i do have irish blood in me and Scottish too which is weird,I don't really look irish I have blonde hair and grey/blue eyes(they change color range sometimes)Everyone can call me either by my screenname or my nickname which is chloe.After college I plan on getting a few friends together and go backpacking all over Ireland.For all of you that live there now,...you are soo lucky.But I guess not everyone thinks so.well this is a long hello. mrgreen

Bonjour! Je suis Neko, ou Eriu.
lol
Anyway. I'm Neko, but many call me Eriu. It's a nickname, but also the name of an Irish goddess (which I find uberly cool). My real name is Erin (which I also find uberly cool - how many people can say they're named after a country?). I'm taking some Gaelic classes... but I still can't say much, and I can type even less. I've also taken French, and still retain a little bit of Russian, German, and Japanese. I can even count to four in Chinese! sweatdrop
In terms of random Irish things... I devour folklore of all kinds, particularly gaelic. I also take Irish dance classes at my high school (the only American high school I know of to offer Irish dance). My teacher doesn't have a T.C.R.G., of course, but she's still awesome. She's a preliminary champion.
My mom's maiden name was O'Connor. Our family is supposed to have come from Cork, but we think that might just have been where the boat left from when they came to America. Her... grandfather, I believe was 1/2 Irish, 1/2 Cherokee Indian. Which makes me only about 1/16. But I have plenty of Irish pride to go around the other 15 bits. I'm also Scottish, English (kinda... it's really a Scottish family), German, French, Canadian, and Russian-Polish. I think that's all. Probably the only culture I identify with as strongly as Irish is the French bit.
I've only actually been to Ireland twice, for a total of four weeks. So far, my all around favorite place is Kilkenny. There's this awesome little pub on a sidestreet called Kyteler's Inn. Best food I've had. Ever! Plus, it used to be owned by an accused witch. Apparently, she kept getting married to rich men, and then they would die strange deaths. They tried her and everything, but at the last minute, when she was supposed to be executed, she disappeared. Cool, non?
As you may guess, witch stories fascinate me too... twisted
