Caffeinated Autumn Yeah I understand the whole money thing. I'm trying to save everything I got while trying to land a job right now. Maybe I should try and do a spell to help give me a boost in job searching. Yeaa...I should too actually :'D When you do spells, do you use mostly herbs, or do you use any crystals/other elements as well?

I did something stupid in the midst of being sleep deprived last night and bought something on Amazon last night speaking of money issues emotion_facepalm I haven't had the money to get crystals so I just use what I have and that's usually herbs and saying a spell over them. Of course it depends on the spell I'm doing. Sometimes I put them in water or burn them (not all the time for this one since I don't want my house to smell sweatdrop ) and then return them to the earth. I usually call on the elements if I'm going to cast a circle. What do you do when you do spells?

I've been able to get a number of polished stones and crystals here and there--some have been gifts cause I like rocks, and others i've been able to find cheap ways to get thankfully. (ive been able to find some good stores aimed at kids that have deals where you can get grab bags of rocks and i've gotten lot of amethyst that way for example! For me, I have a very small amount of herbs, mostly for aid in financial spells and I have some lavender left over from a sleep bag I made myself once. I'm still kind of trying to figure out what I want to do aha BUT--basically if I feel the need to, I'll add the aid of a clean stone or two (if i have ones appropriate) and sometimes herbs and usually bless a candle with them for my purpose if I can. (sometimes I use essential oils as well since I was into aromatherapy before witchcraft and have tea tree and eucalyptus ones) I sometimes draw a sigil for my spell into the candle itself or if I'm having trboule with that or its too small I'll make one on paper, burn it, and then scatter the ashes in the dirt.

I do burn some sometimes as an offering to the God and Goddess. Yeah, it's worth looking around! And man I wish i could find some witchcraft stores ahaha. tho i'd imagine things in there might be pricey And yea, sigils are great! I really enjoy making them. It might help I'm artsy but I really connect with making them ahah. HOWEVER though I suppose it counts I was trying to play with rune scripting a little bit. I made one for my trip in hopes it would all go well. Just trying to get my feet wet and see what I can do with runes rn I suppose but I've not had a lot of time to focus ^^;

Caffeinated Autumn sigishooter Oh, yes of course! I keep forgetting about your move sweatdrop I hope your move goes well. Will you have your own room or are you sharing with a sibling? I gotta share with my sister unfortunately. Oh that sounds cool! think that's a good start with runes. I recently collected some empty snail shells form my front yard and celebrated Imbolc but that's about the major stuff I've done lately. Ah, yeah my move went well! And I've thankfully got my own room--just trying to organize everything and get rid of old furniture I don't need anymore and put in new stuff (like the shelf I use as my altar haha) And that's cool! Is there specific significance of the shells? I hope that's not an ignorant question :')

I actually didn't know myself at first sweatdrop so I did a little digging around and found out they represent the home and are used in protection spells for the home and the occupants living inside. Oh good, you got your own room! I'm probably gonna do a healing spell for my older brother since he got into a car crash Wednesday night. I feel I should've asked him permission when I saw him at the hospital yesterday. I don't like performing spells on people without their knowledge and I didn't think about it though because my mother and I were all freaked out at the moment. I can't ask him now because he is in surgery. Ohh I see! That's really cool. And I wish your brother the best for recovery. I can understand in this situation doing a healing spell. I think if you feel it could be best to do to help it shouldn't be so bad? I'm a few days late--is he doing okay?

Much more relaxed. Still trying to get my things together. My desk broke on the way here so I haven't been able to get that and my altar back in my room so I've only really been doing some pendulum and rune studies lately again. I'm hoping once my altar is back I can do some candle magic again cause that'll go pretty un-noticed. (:
