Zillah was not a fan of crowds. They were loud, pushy, and filled with far too many people. But she knew her twin was here. All of this ruckus had to do with the new Grimm taking the Grimm kids away, and Amy was on of the Grimm kids. There was no way her brother was going to be anywhere else. But it was hard to find people in a crowd.
Amy made it easier than Zillah theorized, though, by yelling out at someone about trials. Ah. Where there was an Amy, there was an Iah. Zillah started pushing through the crowd towards the Grimm.

Myles slid down from the top of the fountain and landed lightly in the base, and settled down next to Athena, putting his arms around her. He knew how hard it was for her to talk about her Mom. She knew so little about her, and yet her presence seemed to loom large over her life, and her relationship with her father.
"I...I don't know if Kestrel would do that." he said slowly. "Who would lead the tribe at home? You can't have more than one Shaman...least I don't think anyone's ever done that before. He can't be in two places at once!" he knew their education would only be in his paws after all. He pulled Athena against his chest, her skin had returned to it's normal cool moist feeling, and it was comforting. About the only comforting thing in this new crazy world.
This was all just...This isn't what it was supposed to be like right? He tightened his hold on Athena. "Look I don't know!" he snapped. "I don't know okay!" he buried his face in Athena's hair. "This isn't like what Kestrel said it would be like..." he mumbled quietly so hopefully only Athena would hear him.

The boy wasn't sure.
Lacking eyesight did help in some areas; it strengthened your other senses due to a need to rely on them more, and the boy has a tone that clearly said 'I don't know'. Even when the female voice piqued up she wasn't reassured. She was about to respond, about to question and perhaps recoil when she heard movement and the boy snapped. An ear flicked, and the blind Grimm maneuvered closer, doing her best to kneel down.
"Hey," She offered, a smile touching her features. The boy sounded afraid, or perhaps overwhelmed. Something. Her tail swished behind her, hand reaching out to touch the boys shoulder.
"We're scared, and I bet this is scary for you, isn't it?" This boy had lived his entire life in one area, believing Grimm were gone. Like them. Yet, he had a chance to reconnect, and she could sympathize. Everyone was shouting and crying out questions and he was just one person. One Grimm. He couldn't answer them all. Almost no one could. An ear flicked as she removed her hand, leaning back.
"Maybe we should slow our questions down? Give them a break? They must be exhausted." She called to the crowd, standing up and grabbing her stick once more.

Kobe had been searching for Keegan after escaping the crowds. He knew he would protect him from being squished and he could probably see! But the main reason was because he was part of their pack and he needed to be there is there was a decision to be made. His ears perked as he heard familiar footsteps and keegan's scent. He rushed to find Keegan, seeing him in the hallway. "Keekee!" He called over then heading over to explained what was going on.
The two gathered with the group, Kobe pointed out Tobias and Crisping. He had him move over to comfort Tobias as he looked to Crispin, "What di' miss?" He whispered, looking back over to Myles as he clung onto Keegan's back.
He didn't like this. He hadn't since the beginning, and now Myles' answers kept getting worse and worse. The inability to answer if he could return home left a sour and sick feeling in his stomach. All he had wanted was a chance to understand, and yet it might come with a heavy consequence. Anger almost lurked deep within, biting at his fear here and there. He had waited his whole life for this? Really? Seriously? Just to be told he needed to choose? What if he didn't want to? What if he couldn't?
He wanted to scream. He felt trapped where he was, as if he couldn't move. If he ran away he'd be abandoning the chance to finally know. If he stayed he might abandon the only family he knew. There wasn't a right answer. There couldn't be. He needed to make a choice.
Could he give up his dream of knowing about himself?
Watching Myles panic only sent his own fear skyrocketing. Even the one with the answers was afraid. He stepped backwards, ears pinned back. What was the right answer? Would Yue forgive him if he left? Keegan? Himself? His heart pounded, echoing within his ears and deafening the sound of voices and movement. He almost forgot about the freshling before him, until someone approached. His heart stopped, and suddenly a flood of emotions ran through him.
Keegan.
A confusing rush of relief and absolute joy filled him, and he shoved it aside quickly. He didn't have time to ponder why he felt this way. All he knew was Keegan was here, and he carried Kobe. His eyes flicked to spot Crispin, and for a second he felt safe. His people. He glanced back down at the pink freshling before finally inhaling sharply, calming his heartbeat for now.
"They want to take us." He abruptly snapped, unable to hold back the need to have someone understand. "They might not let us come home. We might be stuck. T-they might not give us a choice."

I won't reply again with him until Keegan pops out, so we don't get consistency errors!

Oh, oh no, he seemed very upset now. Neptune turned his gaze back to Myles to watch, nervousness skyrocketing as he admitted he had no idea what the answers were to their questions. He hadn't meant to hurt his feelings or anything... Of course, he assumed this was his fault, he'd been asking so much. He really should have just stayed quiet. Bad boy. Bad dog. He shrank back behind the hedge a little more, ears flattening down against his head.
"I--...I'm s-sorry... I didn't mean t--to um... m-make you upset... I..." He stammered, eyes flicking anywhere but directly at Myles. "M-maybe the g-grown ups know more... um... m-maybe.. it would be l-like.... a visit... s-so there wouldn't be... a strain...?" There he went again, sort of asking a question. He really should just be quiet...
Kobe's head snapped to look at Tobias, "W-what?... They... are just gonna take us? But what if we l-like it here... I dont wanna be taken.." Kobe whined as his ears folded and his tail retreated into a more fearful position. He had thought that Myles was just there for information, not to just take them by forced. A sense of fear rose in him, even with his strong packmate with him. He looked to Crispin, scared for what will happen to all of them. He curled into Keegan, looking back to Tobias. "..I-I... don't wanna be forced... to go." He told them. "Keekee w-won't let 'em...right?" He asked Keegan.

He fell back into quiet as Myles cycled through his questions. It was interesting to see the Grimm so involved in magic apparently. Their Shaman sounded much like the leadership structure he was used to in Boreas, to an extent. Everyone had their differences.
Arden's face fell back into something unreadable. He was unfamiliar with Amy, but he knew what it was like to not fit in the traditional roles. That's the whole reason why he was here - it was sort of hard to live on a mountain side and be useful if you couldn't fly. The response the foreign Grimm gave expressed nothing reassuring, and he opened Amy didn't take it the wrong way. It had taken him a while to find his own worth, and she hoped she had by now too. Athena's response was only slightly reassuring, especially as he didn't know what weight the daughter of the Elder carried.
Of course, Myles had no good answer and Arden could only sigh a little. This was really all a headache. He was usually good at being collected, and he wasn't even a Grimm, but this all rubbed him the wrong way. Everyone here was an orphan. It had to be exciting for the Grimm to see their real counter parts, but they all did have a life here already. He chewed on his lower lip. If they really wanted to leave and they were basically being offered adoption... He quieted as Melisara began to speak. He personally liked the school idea better, but would that divide their current school system? Arden knew the politics behind it would probably get hectic too. They always were.
Seeing that the questions had seemed to overwhelm the offering Grimm, Arden kept his tongue. I mean, they couldn't let just a few teachers come here? Surely they had someone they respected that they could trust independently. Shoulders still taught, he looked around him for a feel of the opinions of his peers for he was happy to let them be advocates for their own decisions now that he had voiced his concerns for the others.

Coloring for math was fun, but this was even more fun when something big is happening! Holding her hand tightly, he push through to stay close to her in the crowd. Especially when he has a habit of going off on his own at times. "What's going on here?" He can hear people speaking about things about the Grimm and a . . . pixie? Or was it Nixie? Chatters and rumors are terrible here.
Finally they were at the courtyard after squeezing through and staring at the fountain where in the water. "Hmm . . ." He was curious, and interested to know more. He looks over at Pepper as she manage to ask a question about the shaman and also to the Nixies, nodding along in wanting to know more as he looks at the girl with the fins. "I wonder how those feel like . . ."It was his childish curiosity in wondering how those fins feel like but he has to behave in this situation they're in.
The answer from the Grimm sounds interesting. "Umm . . ." Auren raise his hand as if he was in school, but then he saw how the Grimm snapped and went quiet, putting his hand down. "What if there's more than one person who's good in magic? Won't there be some test?" It was more of a curious question of his more than anything really, hoping that they won't be so upset for asking since it seems that way. He frowns over to Pepper and looking back at everyone again, especially the older Grimms talking.

Everyone was shouting now, and getting angrier and angrier. This was not what Ustule had been expecting at all! The Academy Grimm seemed to be...challenging their culture? It almost sounded like they were rejecting it outright! And none of them sounded nearly enthusiastic to go home! Ustule frowned. What a bizarre turn of events? The culture here was Demon--why didn't the Grimm want their own culture, the culture of their ancestors? They didn't seem to care at all, but to point out what the problems were!
Curiouser and curiouser. But the Grimm next to her seemed close to panicking--he didn't seem to like these ideas at all. She wasn't here to voice her own opinion. She was a Litch, this was frankly none of her business. No, she was here now to comfort the orange Grimm, to help him through this. As he got upset and looked down at her once more, she gave him a sympathetic smile and this time added a pat on the back of the hand. There, there. It'll all be okay eventually. Don't you worry about a thing. There, there.
More Grimm were approaching, and this time, a change seemed to come over the orange Grimm. These, then, were his people. His...his pack. He seemed relieved at the sight of them.
Was she still needed, then? She decided to wait until the two new Grimm reached the orange one. Then she could withdraw, retrieve Sphery, and return to her room. She had heard enough.
Melisara had meant it as an even compromise, and had hoped that it might ease the pain and calm the crowd. But it appeared that she had only succeeded in making Myles upset. That had not been her intent at all. She bit her lip and got to her feet. She owed Myles an apology. The blind Grimm had already knelt in front of him to offer her support, so Melisara simply sat next to him on the fountain's lip and patted his hand. "Ah'm sorry, Mahles. Ah didn't mean t' make yah upset." Then, because she felt that something needed to be added, "We all need a little tahm to adjust, Ah think. Ah don't think Kestrel really thought things through as much as he needed to." That sounded harsh, now that she thought about it. She made a face. "What Ah mean is, it's a complicated matter, an' it ain't gonna be solved overnahght bah a dramatic entrance."
She actually did have a solution to the shaman problem, though, and it was a solution she thought Kestrel might like. But she sensed that now was maybe not the time to mention it. "Ah still lahk mah ahdea," she said. "But Ah'll think about ways t' improve it."
With two people comforting Myles already, Melisara looked around for something else. Her eyes caught the odd-eyed Grimm who seemed so nervous. She got to her feet and walked over to him to put an arm around his shoulder. She didn't know what to say, so she said nothing, merely giving his shoulders a squeeze.
She saw Kobe return with another Grimm. She waved at them. It looked like Kobe was a member of a group over there, and the orange Grimm they stood with looked as nervous as the one she was hugging. Then Kobe was taken care of. Good. She smiled at them all, and at the tiny pink Litch at their side.

Myles took a deep breath and looked up from having his face buried in Athena's hair. "It's okay...I just...I'm fine." he said offering a weak smile to everyone who'd comforted him. He noticed Amy didn't react though. Was...she blind? Kestrel wouldn't like that. How could a blind Grimm hunt, or do...anything? Yet she obviously was okay here...how did that even work. His hears flicked back against his head. Maybe it was a mistake to come. No, he couldn't think like that. He had to keep going. They'd see...wouldn't they?
He saw another demon child and sighed, at least he could answer that. "No, the current Shaman, hand picks their successor. So it's based on whether or not they think the person will be good for the pack or not. If you don't get picked, you don't get picked."
He looked back at the dark skinned Baphomet. "Yeah I guess..." he offered small smiles and hugged Athena.
Having been going back to his room, Lazarus managed to pass the fountain and noticed the huge commotion that was brewing faster than anyone could of predicted. What was going on? And... and was that a grimm on the fountain? Who was he hugging? What kind of nightmare was that?
A curious type, Lazarus decided to watch and see what was going on, wondering why so many of his fellow school mates seemed so upset. Why were there so many grimm in one spot? Why was everyone asking this one grimm and other nightmare with him so many weird questions? They didn't make any sense until he started to try and piece them together.
Wait... was someone trying to take the grimm children away? Was this like adoption of all them, or just trying to take them? Had a grimm tribe found out about the soulstones down here and wanted to take them? There were so many questions going on in his mind, but he was sure they had already been answered, and the grimm in question didn't seem to be in much of an answering mood at the moment.

Well, the others seemed to be comforting him, and he seemed to be calming down... That was good. He could relax a little, right...? He'd been so focused on watching Myles that he hadn't really seen the baphomet girl come over until he felt her arm around his shoulder. Unable to help himself, he squeaked quietly and stiffened up, almost expecting some sort of following pain. When it didn't come, he relaxed just slightly, and turned his head to get a look at who it was... Oh. Oh no.
"S--sorry... I did-- didn't see you..." He mumbled quietly, and averted his gaze. Now that he knew what she was doing and who she was, this was actually kind of nice. He hadn't really let anyone touch him since he'd gotten to the academy, he'd forgotten that sometimes touches could be nice...

It was strange how empty the halls were. How quiet everything was but to the Grimm it just must of been a strange morning. Keegan had gone blissfully unaware of what was happening just outside of the building. Tiny frantic footsteps soon alerted his ears and quickly he turned to see one of his pack mates. Kobe often came running and calling out for Keegan, but the sense of urgency the freshling had today was heightened. The tiny pale Grimm crashing into him and then scurrying up him like a bean pole and going on about some new people. Keegan couldn’t quite put together what was going on. “People are here to take the Grimms?” He repeated, mostly confused by it all. It truly sounded like the wild imagination of a freshling, but being the protective sort he figured something was going on and wanted to scope out the situation. Keegan and Kobe now made their way swiftly towards the main gates of the school. His brows furrowed as he opened the doors to find such a crowd of people around. He had to push his way through; being a junior now definitely helped.
He caught site of Tobias and as always strange emotions rushed over him, but on top of that the look on his packmate’s face was distraught sending him big red flags. Again he was being told about they were going to be taken away. The fur on his arms stood on ends as he stayed quiet. His fierce red eyes just trying to detect what the source of the problem was. He spotted the very tribal looking Grimms and then the strange aquatic looking characters next to them. “I don’t know what’s happening, but I know we will stay together and we will be staying here. We are a pack and not even fellow Grimm can break what we have.” He looked to Tobias again, then the twins and took in a deep breath. Now if ever he needed to be level headed and strong for the people around him. Keegan stepped in closer to Tobi and pressed his forehead against the taller male’s. The large paw wrapping around and holding him close as he spoke. “I’m glad you’re safe and I plan on keeping it that way.” A soft gaze locked the two of them together for just a moment before Keegan pulled back and stood tall.
