kaname423 Aminah! Since Volle and her are both kinda here for Jer XD Vollerei : Warrior. Location: Supply tentspost 2 (1/2) After grabbing two bowls of soup and two loaves (they didn't argue with her.. not when she was the size she was!) Vollerei walked out to spot a table. Already occupied by one girl sitting on it but there was space for her... probably...
She sauntered over sit on the table, making it creak ominously. "Pardon me." She said with a grin as she set her food down next to her to grab a spice pouch to flavor the food. Nobody made soup spicy enough for her.
"You look about as nervous as she sounds." Vollerei said to Aminah around a mouthful as she pointed towards Antiope who was attemtpting to make a speech.

Bhima : Blade > Resistance [ post 2 ] Location: Around camp with Hijil and baby Kinfa
"I can't say that I prefer them," the Alkidike admitted, watching as the baby kinfa chowed down. It was like having a playdate with a pair of toddlers, but these ones could fly and couldn't form words. "For different reasons, I suppose. The first I met was a companion to a blind Sister, and it was careless and irritating. Now this one..." She nodded up toward the flapping creature. "Doesn't it sound like it's chiding us?"
Come to think of it, sprites probably would understand the spoken word. Otherwise, how would Dyakida communicate with hers? In fact, she had heard her speak to it! She turned to the sprite and arched a brow. "We've got them, you know. We'll keep them safe. It's not like we're going to go lugging them into battle." Did it even know that a war was on?

X I L A R N x A T T L E E Location: Camp Outskirts (with Kennet, Ruelash, Iroia, and maybe Makani???) Posts: 3 There was some part of Xilarn's mind that knew scowling at some strange native woman that shoved herself in his face was not the way to make a good impression, but then, she wasn't having that great an effect on him, either. Rude, classless, conclusion-jumping natives. Exactly what he expected them to be. He found himself muttering before he could stop the words that flowed from his lips, "I don't consider you as much of a problem, as you are an annoyance," Xil informed the woman bitterly, no less 'clipped' than how she'd spoken to his companion.
Were they really all so eager to fight after they'd just lost a battle? At very least they had spunk. Thoughtless, stupid spunk. It could've been amusing, if it wasn't so irritating. He turned his glare on the man standing behind the native woman. He seemed like more of a threat than her, if only because he looked ridiculously excited to have the chance to jump Xil before anyone else did. "What, do you need help minding your own business?" Xil snapped at him.

Hijil – Shifter Guard Around the Camp: Feeding the kinfaWhat was a battle? What was war? Achik did not give a illo's fart. Safe, though: Safe, he knew. He made a scornful little whistle-pop, clearly sure of himself and his ability to protect his babies. Over-sure, obviously, as he hovered there at about the size of Bhima's head, and the kinfa were larger than he was and still growing. ”Yes it does.” said Hijil, watching the sprite in amusement. Such a variety of sounds the little brown beast could make! Hijil, personally, found it amusing (though if it kept making those high pitched sounds, she would stop feeling amused soon enough), but if Bhima didn't... ”Yes.” she said, addressing the sprite, though she felt odd doing so. Hijil had often talked to animals in her lonely existence, but talking in the presence of someone else felt... bizzare somehow. ”We will take good care of them.” she made a show of cuddling Ath, giving the kinfa a large piece of fruit. ”See?”Achik chirped at Hijil in affront, but he was running out of ways to argue. He rubbed his antennae in annoyance and, with an annoyed chime, flew off into the camp. He'd come back with something better than fruit, they would see. He knew what his babies wanted, he knew how to protect them, and he would show these two interlopers. He would! Ath chirped a goodbye and spared a brief peck for Hijil for being so presumptuous as to hug her. But seeds were more important, and she was soon distracted again. It took more than a little peck to phase Hijil – the scars on her arms attested to that. She beamed at the striped, pudgy little bird. Yes yes, dear. she cooed at it silently, beaming eat up. And then something occurred to her. ”We should find a place to keep them safe during the battle.” there was no question about whether or not they would fight themselves, of course. That was a given.

K R E S I M I R After what seemed like forever, Kresimir had finally gotten away from his father and sister and decided to go exploring around the camp. Not sure where his mama or Miss Ime would be, so he decided to just duck in each tent until he found one of them. In one of the tent he saw some people doing some things that he wasn't quite sure what to call it but he ducked back out just the same. He was beginning to think it was going to be an impossible task and he was just getting lost in the mass of tents when he saw one that was slightly bigger than the rest so he headed that way. It was pretty busy but he thought he smelled herbs and he figured this is where Miss Ime would be, right?
He wandered around a little bit before he finally saw her, his face lighting up with excitement he dashed to her side and slipped his hand in hers. "Miss Ime I've been looking everywhere for you! I kind of left my Daddy and sister to try to find you or Mama to have more fun but then I got kind of lost and worried that I wouldn't find either of you but then I found this big tent and here you are! Are the healing tents always this big?"

Look what crap she got from talking first! How pathetic was she, she should have just started pummling his behind until Kennet pulled her off or rather tried to pull her off. "Thank you for teaching my that valuable lesson Oban. Next time you are in a place where people's lives are at stake battling your nation and one bothers to talk you before stabbing, perhaps be less of a prat." Then she pounced and started beating on whatever part of Xilarn she could get to, screeching the whole time, like she should have done in the first place like a good no nonsense warrioress. She didn't think Ruelash would have made that mistake, he respected her enough to let her talk to the scumball, now that was her gift of the day. This only strengthened their bond and had the added bonus of a scrap. Part of her sang a happy, savage hunting song, she may be small but she was fast and mighty, and not afraid of getting knocked around. No delicate female her! Training since childhood had proven that. Iroia: Outskirts Post: 3

Bhima - post 3
The Alkidike couldn't help but laugh slightly when Hijil's affections were met with an angry little peck. Of the two kinfa, she seemed to have ended up with the more even-tempered of the pair. How odd, that they should find each other and the same species of companion in under a week? She covered her mouth politely and shook her head. She was glad that the sounds had gone away with the sprite, as well as his watchful eye.
"Yes, we should. I imagine the healing tent might be safest, unless we can lash them into another. I think we'd be coming back to a lot of torn fabric and chewed rope in that case, though." For all they were fluffy and cute, even baby kinfa had sharp claws and beaks.
Ime - post 2
She looked up as someone entered the tent, but didn't think anything of it at the moment. People came and went all the time while they prepared for the battle to come. A familiar little voice chimed up to her, though, and she grinned.
There had been a time when Ime was the youngling stumbling around the hunting tent, but a new generation had arrived. Kresimir was the son of a friend, and she had been present when he had been brought into this world. Since then, she had done a few favors for his parents and watched he and his sister. She had an inkling that Daddy may not be too happy that he had wandered off, but at least he had come looking for someone he knew!
"Hel-lo, Kres!" she chimed, turning away from her work to talk to the boy. Namora gave the child a glance and smiled to him in greeting. Ime listened to him ramble, listening attentively and nodding as he spoke. She was happy to take his little hand. "Yes, I'll be in this tent most of the time! It's probably safer with Daddy, though I can't imagine the camp is very fun, huh?" She had been the type to make her own fun, and she had to worry that this boy might have the same sort of wanderlust. "Yup! They're really big, just in case a lot of people get boo-boos. We're making potions to help them, just in case. Does Daddy know you went away?"

Kiyelt thumped his head against the nearest fencepost of the beast's pen. "I am too real, just like I was last time, I'm real, Iniu is real and so is Norcrest...did you get a mammu? That is so awesome!" He waved away Mella's excuses. "You taught me to draw therefore you are a teacher, its not dependent on number of lessons." "If you like her face you should get to know her, just as beautiful...if a little distractable and in doubt about my existance, besides the pendant I gave her and the cookies my mother made that were also real that I gave her." He shook his head. "Hopefully you will understand soon," he directed at Yelena who indeed had lovely face symmetry and gorgeous eyes and hair and well everything else he might add. Iniu crooned at Kiyelt, nudged at Reo's hand and nuzzled Yelena's jaw, a very busy social lizard. While Norcrest glared at Talwren as if everyone else did not exist. Kiyelt: Beast Pen Post: 3

Ruelash – Ice Knight Around the Camp: Ready for a FightRidiculously excited to jump him? Xilarn didn't know the half of it. Ruelash's scant degree of restraint – the reason he was not already howling out a wild battlecry and cutting into the Oban's flesh - was for Iroia's sake – He wasn't going to hurt a friend of hers (too badly). That just didn't sit well with him. Of course, if he wasn't a friend, Ruelash intended to murder him. A lot. For fun. His grin intensified as it started to seem like this was the case. It briefly flickered as the Oban asked a question. ”Huh?” The sarcasm went over Ruelash's head and he wasted a good few seconds on trying to come up with a comeback. Frost that. His meager patience at an end, Ruelash pounced, and it seemed Iroia had the same idea... except she was unarmed, and his swords – claw and fang in one – were out. He slashed wildly and then stepped back to get into a position where he wouldn't hurt Iroia too badly. As he repositioned just behind Xilarn, he had the perfect comeback line. ”I'm makin' it my business.” he said, grinning behind glinted blades...

Makani gave a smile and a little nod of his head as he was growled at and told to 'watch out' which just proved that the guy was in fact very much a fellow Earthling instead of what he'd thought that he was the first time. The threat was still there, of course, but it was a little reassuring in his mind. He seemed to debate over it for a moment before following along after the bestial male once more. He really couldn't help but to be curious what it was that had the guy so riled up. There just had to be something that he was missing, right? He still heard nothing though, nothing to say that they were under attack by anything. In fact the only thing he was really picking up on was the energy of a few other gathered people. Strange... Coming to a stop he tilted his head, listening in as the group of them started to chat with one another. Had he read the warrior wrong? Was he just chatting with them...? It didn't make sense to him though, one didn't have that sort of aura when they were just chatting. No, something was up... making Makani really wonder what it was that he was missing. There had to be something... and then it made sense as the female spoke up. An Oban was here? In their camp? It was something that just shocked him like nothing else. The Oban must be a rather brave man to come here since he was out in the open, talking with people, instead of skulking about... and Makani worried as things came to blows that the man might pay for what was going on with his life. This wasn't good, the battle couldn't be starting already? Not to mention it was risking getting messy rather fast. After a moment of debate he lifted a hand up, gathering some magical energy to himself, before he made a motion with his hand to drop some water on the group. He was aiming for the one with the scary aura, thinking he might be source of the chaos, but given his lack of vision his aim could very well be off and soak the lot of them. Oh well... if he was lucky, he could cool them off and keep them from killing each other before the war even began? Sure, it might get him in their cross hairs, an intimidating prospect given the aura rolling off one of them in particular, but it would at least keep them from causing undo harm? Sure, that might be why they were all gathered here, but he couldn't say that he wanted to set to work healing people prematurely.

Borra - Minstrel Location: Meeting up with Eira and Gyuri with Borra Post: 1 It was for the sake of the troupe that Borra had managed to get himself and his sister separated from the rest. Although there had been much irritation in his sister's clamoring to gt a move on he found himself rather stuck where he was. A group of children had managed to engage him and he couldn't help but try and raise their spirits with a bit of song. Much to his sister's annoyance. He promised them a small song which lead into a chorus of songs, one leading into another. Though he wasn't the best singer, his happy sing song tune was simple and the kids could sing along with it with ease. It lightened his heart to see so many smiling faces but it even as he waved good bye to the children, Sin'qua silently fuming at his side he felt his heart drop.
The war was coming...no correction it was already here. It pained him and though he knew it was going to happen eventually he still felt as if there had been some foolish hope that it was simply disappear. Vanish like a horrible nightmare.
His arm was grabbed, yanked firmly forward by Sin'qua who had by now had quite enough of his daydreaming.
"Ah..sorry Sinny." He managed using the nickname that Eira had come up with affectionately although it only earned him a glare from his sibling. He fell silent as he was lead through the masses of people, many getting prepared to fight, others to deal with the aftermath of battle, he felt sick to his stomach thinking about the wounded that would no doubt come streaming in as soon as the battle started.
It was only due to the fact his sister had really good eyesight that they were able to locate the others at all. He gave a weak wave to the others, wondering who the stranger was with them. Borra's troubled frown was replaced with a smile as they approached.
"Sorry got a bit...held up." He apologized although he caught the eye roll his sister gave him at his comment. Sin'qua - Mage Location: Meeting up with Eira and Gyuri with Borra Post: 1 It had become almost a sad sight, somehow. Watching her brother delude himself as well the children into thinking that there was little to worry...although she knew it was a benefit to the children she couldn't help but consider that he had distracted himself on purpose. Though she felt a stab of pity for her brother it didn't last long. They had already lost the rest of their group and she couldn't help but feel nervous about being separated from them. She was guilty of being selfish, now that she knew how to use magic she was mildly terrified she would be drafted into the battle. Sure she could be another battle ready aid to the cause, but she...really was quite done with being selfless. She didn't want to die, that much she was sure of and she wasn't about to foolishly throw her life away. Besides...who would look after her brother if she was gone? Right...perhaps that bodyguard would be able to console him....but she still wasn't too sure about that. "Your awful Borra, getting their hopes up like that." She scolded as she dragged him forward in an attempts to locate Eira and the others. Although she didn't particularly want to locate the dancer she had little choice in the matter as she was the leader. "And if you call me that again I will bust your instrument over your head." She snapped as she felt she caught sight of the rather busty woman. Relief. Wait what? Why was she so relieved to find the annoying woman? She was with Gyuri but she didn't see Makani around, but who was the stranger? Scowling she approach the three not greeting the new person but almost tossing Borra at Guyri like her brother was a burden. "Sorry, my brother felt it was a good time to entertain children.."

[ supply tents ]Oh. Well. Now he just felt bad. Kauff's own father wasn't a fighter, so he had never worried about coming home to find he wasn't there. The only way that would really happen, in the prentice's opinion, was if these invaders took over Sauti, and he wasn't going to let them. That was why he was here.
"It surely can," he said with all the wisdom of someone who'd never killed anything smarter than his dinner. "The more weapons, the better." He glanced around for both an authority figure that might frown upon what he was about to do and a waterskin for the boy, and not finding the first, he passed the second down to Tafiir as soon as he saw one. Kauff might have continued their conversation had he not noticed other earthlings gathering around the leaders' tent. He couldn't hear what was being said from where he was, but from the serious way everyone within earshot listened, he assumed it was important, or at least informative.
"Something's happening. Maybe we'll be moving soon." The child probably should have been sheltered somehow, but that would mean leaving the action behind, and Kauff wasn't going to do that. He would just have to hope the boy was old enough to see men broken and bleeding without breaking down.

Chandra - prentice Location: The Big Lizard's Cage near his brother Post: 1 To say that Chandra was unimpressed was perhaps an understatement, never mind that this war was now coming to a head and he was not at all prepared to meet the enemy but his brother was instantly distracted with a large monstrous lizard and quite possible in love with it. He wanted to make a snide and rather childish comment to his brother along the lines of 'why don't you just marry it?' but feared he may take it to heart and do it.
A book in his hand he leaned against a post, listening absently to his brother gush at the creature and trying to ignore the countless stares Aysun was getting in regards to his obvious enthusiasm for it. He was a bit starteled to find his brother running off to grab the beast something to eat. The young man was half tempted to follow after his brother like a worried radaku mother may, despite everything the sour looking boy was rather attached to his brother. They were twins after all. About to snap his book shut and shuffle after his brother he found that he didn't have to move. Aysun had rushed back with a large grub in his hands making the boy scowl even more.
Sighing he re-opened his book the pages falling open to any page, he had read the book several times already so it didn't matter to him where he picked up again.
"Its not a pet Aysun, its a beast for war. Keep that in mind." He scolded his brother from afar.

Kaalnia – Alkidike Blade Supply Tents: Cleaning up her mess -> outside
Kaalnia paused in her picking up of objects – a task she ended up doing on her own - to watch the shifter leader speak.
Oh! There was someone from the tents... an important someone. The shifter woman said something and she used lots of big words, but Peyla understood enough to know she was talking about people who had been taken by the orange-crystal obans. She chimed excitedly: Maybe the shifter would know something about her Alkidike!
With a buzz of wings, Peyla swooped swiftly down, a blue blur that stopped at Antiope.
She chimed desperately at the shifter, gesticulating wildly. Please... Did she know where her alkidike was? Did she know if she was okay?
”Really?” Kaalnia mumbled as the woman finished, ”Really?” she shoved the box to the side – she was so done with it and its contents. ”That's all you've got?!” Kaalnia huffed and shook her head. ”Well. That wasn't much.” where were her elders? The people she trusted? The people who might have something substantial to say?
As far as Kaalnia could tell, there were sisters among those imprisoned. She could only hope that some of the missing were still alive – they hadn't been able to retrieve the dead. ”I'm gonna get some air...” Kaalnia muttered to nobody in particular, stomping out into the 'open' camp...

Aysun - prentice Location: The Big Lizard's Cage, chatting with Chandra Post: 2 Aysun turned his head toward his brother's voice, giving a little laugh, "Ah, come on now! Look how cute he is! I would hug him if he weren't so big." He said, clapping his hands together in a delighted manner. It was obvious that he didn't see it as being a danger but then again he rather liked all of the animals that he ran across. If he could recruit them all to his personal animal army he'd do so no matter how dangerous they might be under normal cirumstances. Giving a bit of a grin, he glanced over at his grumpy faced brother and asked in a falsely sneaky tone, "Do you think they would notice if I tried to smuggle him home?" He knew full well that they would but he wanted to get Chandra's attention off that book and back onto something, anything, more interesting. As such he felt asking him about his odds of stealing a giant lizard, it might get a rise out of his twin... maybe? He looked around a moment before trotting along to pick up a couple more things, Kie-ja berries. From what he'd gathered they were normally poisonous and therefore not good for eating... but the lizard was able to eat them making him all that much more impressive to Aysun. As he let the big beast eat the berries that he was offering to him he asked of his brother, "What do you think? I can get some large leaves, put them on his head, and that way nobody will even notice if he walks by." He said, giving a bit of a chuckle as he offered up the obviously impossible suggestion for how he'd be getting out of a camp full of various people with a large beast in tow. All he needed was to give the lizard a leaf hat! Even Aysun was unable to keep from laughing at the bizzare image it painted in his mind. It woold never work but it might be cute to see the big lizard with a leaf hat!
