Shadow nodded in understanding, already starting to go through different training methods in his head. Teaching Torch how to meditate would probably go a long way toward improving the little guy's focus - not just in battle, but also in general. As for Saph... well, the only thing he could think of was sparring with the little guy, making sure to adjust his power levels so that the baby Squirtle stood a fighting chance - surely sparring with a more powerful opponent would go a long way toward helping the little guy's confidence?

"Good you understand what I'm talking about. You'll have time to train with them right now. I'm sending up camp here." Trinity said smiling at a clearing. She took off her bag and let out the other three. Jet perched on to Trinity's shoulder. Torch happily cheered as he got out. He snuggled Trinity's leg before running over to Shadow. Saph hugged Trinity's leg. She picked him up then placed him in Shadow's arms. Quickly she set up the tent and a fireplace. "Ok that should do. Now we're going to train before having dinner guys. The first gym is going to be rock/ground type. We need to be prepared. Saph and Torch will be working with Shadow though I will take time to instruct you guys on what I think you should work on. Jet, you will be working with me on your speed." the trainer explains to the three little guys. Jet nodded to what she said. Torch and Saph looked up to Shadow ready to listen to what he would teach them.
Shadow began explaining in Pokémon-speak exactly what he was going to have the two do. First he explained to Torch that his focus needed work, and so he was going to teach the little Fire-type how to meditate. He then gently explained to Saph that his confidence needed work, and so they were going to spar a little; he was also going to have him join Torch in meditation training, since learning how to do so wouldn't hurt the Water-type.

Trinity put small weights on Jet's back. She told him to fly around the forest until he got tired. It should start building up his speed with the force he is using to fly with the weight. The trainer then turned to the others. "Saph, I think we should start helping you battle. Soon you will be old enough to battle. I noticed you were at first scared of Shadow. It could it could of been his aura or how he looks. I want to help you out of that and I asked Shadow to do so. Torch, buddy you have got to calm down in a battle or you will get tired quickly." she said to her starter. Torch nodded ready to prove himself. Saph sat up in Shadow's arm ready to work.
Shadow nodded slightly, confirming Trinity's words, before gently putting Saph down, taking a meditative position and starting to explain to the two exactly how to meditate - "clear your mind of all distractions", "focus on one thing only", the whole shebang. Once they got the sitting-down version down, then they'd move on to meditating while moving, and once they'd mastered that, then they'd get to applying it in battle.

Trinity started on making dinner. She smiled as she herself went in to her our meditative state. She still could move as she was in this state. Her mom thought her this. Jet flew back to his trainer tired. She removed the weights and let him rest in the tent.
It took a few tries (and one point where Torch nearly fell asleep), but eventually Shadow had the two meditating to his . He nodded in approval, then started the two on meditating while moving, making sure to keep an eye on them so they didn't accidentally get in trouble while doing so.

Trinity giggled as Saph bumped in to her leg as he was trying to move as he meditated. "Ok I think it's a good time to stop and get some dinner in us." she said getting Saph back on his feet then getting up Jet. Jet perched on her shoulder then on to the ground. Trinity poured the stew she cooked up in to bowls. She picked up Saph and put him on her lap so that she could hand feed him.
Shadow similarly let Torch know it was time for food before heading over as well, helping Torch onto his shoulder so that the stubby-legged Fire-type didn't have to strain itself following him.

Trinity smiled brightly at Shadow seeing Torch on his shoulder. "I poured your servings in to the bowls." she said handing one bowl to Shadow and placing another for Torch on a tree stump. Trinity then was rocking Saph to sleep. He had finished eating his food. Once asleep, she put him in the tent. The young trainer poured some stew for herself. "So how was training?" she asked. Torch happily cheered about it as he hopped off Shadow's shoulder and landing next to his bowl. He stuck his head in and started to chow down.
Shadow ate a little more quietly, giving a small nod to indicate that the training had gone well. They were certainly picking it up faster than he had when he first started meditating, but then he'd used it as a way to block out the worst of the pain from the experiments... not that he'd ever reveal that much out loud.

Trinity finished eating her stew then looked at Shadow, "Is the stew good?" She asked him. "If not, I still have left over sweet Poké-blocks." She said wanting him to have what he wanted. Torch looked at the two. He finished his stew and left them to settle things by themselves.
Shadow blinked in surprise, having not expected the offer, but nevertheless nodded, indicating that the stew was fine... though he inwardly mused that he wouldn't say no to some of those Pokéblocks either way - they were very, very tasty.

Trinity smiled at the Pokémon before getting up and picking up the bag with the Poke-blocks. She handed it over to him, "Enjoy." She said picking up the pot. The trainer walked with it and the used plates to the river near them. Trinity started to clean up the pot and the plates. She finished cleaning then placed the bot back in to her bag. It was compact so it was able to fix in her bag easily.
Shadow looked a little more surprised that she'd read him so easily - he'd have thought she was psychic at this point if he didn't have Dark-type qualities - but didn't look a gift Ponyta in the mouth, instead finishing his stew and starting to eat the offered Pokéblocks... oh, and once again trying not to let on how much he enjoyed the treats, though he did give a nod of thanks.
