Sweetie Drops blinked, this pae sounded a little funny. But she didn't really think it was that bad. Right? She mentally shrugged it off, at least until the horn sounded.

Sweetie Drops fell onto her bum, already perched rather odd when the horn went off for the announcement. She winced, rubbing her ears, the fauny looked at the other. Did she not hear that horrible noise? How? Sweetie leaned forward and opened her mouth.

"Did you not hear that horn?" She asked, waving her hand in front of the other's ear. How could she not hear that loud noise?

Lila leaned back a bit, it was hard to read lips if a pae was right in her face. Hear the torn?... she didn't think that seemed right but she wasn't familiar with anything on this boat. She thought about it a moment, no this weird fauny pae must know what she meant... right? "Torn? I didn't hear." Her head turned to look behind her thinking the hand moving in her peripheral vision may be waving at another pae behind her. But seeing noone that was paying any attention to them she turned back to the fauny with a bewildered expression.

Sweetie Drops tilted her head. "No, horn. Like honk honk." She mimed honking a horn with her hoo- hands. This place was still so strange. If they hadn't been so far away when they started their journey, maybe things wouldn't be so strange? No, that couldn't be it. It was probably something along the lines of her not being able to adapt well. Mentally shaking that thought, she looked over to the other pae.

"Can you hear me?" she asked, wondering if that was the reason that the other didn't know what a horn was. There had to be some reason for it right? Maybe they didn't have horns here.

Leitha wandered about below deck. She'd gotten the water tank she needed for rehydration. This was going to be an interesting trip. Being above the water the entire time rather than in it. There was a pool with lots of pae to almost drown. The thought made her laugh. She might even get Shark boy to help her in that scheme. He did have a shark fin on his back.

But for now, Leitha wanted to find Shark Boy. He wasn't allowed to relax. She wanted him to cater to her whims. Mostly, she wanted him to go fetch things to and fro. This naiad was going to act entirely different the entire trip. Get him to let his guard down before she started messing with him again. Or at least, get him to start worrying she was going sane.

"Have you seen a pale blue demon with a shark fin on his back?" She asked one of the floating fairies. She did her best to pitch her voice as kindly as possible. Mostly it came off as a sneer and wound up scaring the fairy so badly he nearly dropped whatever tray he was carrying. As soon as she'd been pointed in the right direction, she laughed, biting back the cackle that was threatening to form.

"Cadassi." She nodded, sitting down in front of him. Salad. Bleh. "I thought you preferred meat?" Her head tilted, looking at the other.

Cadassi gave a strangled yelp as the demonic fish miraculously appeared beside him. Choking down the current bite lodged in his throat, he turned to give her a glare. A look more like a frightened scowl than anything else. "I can't eat meat. Or should I say I prefer not to eat meat. Horrible interaction with my internal system. Where the hell did you come from? I looked everywhere for you." He said, taking another bite of his suddenly tasteless salad. He was pouting. Goddess help him, he was actually pouting. Then again, she deserve his pout. He had wakted so patiently for her an had almost been left behind.

"Not that I care or anything..." he mumbled, attempting to cover his poor, strangled emotions.

She shrugged, leaning back into her seat a bit. She'd been avoiding him for a bit, to give him a taste of what he was in for during this vacation. But mostly, she'd been in her room making sure the water tank would be perfectly placed. It was fun to see the tiny fairies squirm.

"Making a couple of fairies miserable." Leitha offered, flagging down another one of the wary bugs. She was ordering a platter of meat. Turning her attention back to the male at the table in front of her. "Did your son come along with you on this trip?" She asked, honestly curious if she was going to be dealing with Spawn or not.

"Mmmm, meat." The naiad grinned, digging into her plate of delicious red stuff. "Too bad you don't eat the stuff, it's delicious." Her grin had turned into something rather scary looking. She wasn't good at smiling without it looking scary. Cadassi had to be used to that by now right?

The look of bewilderment remained on her face the whole time honkonk? Lila watched her hands what was this strange fauny trying to pretend to have... Oh well it didn't really matter.

Then came the question the one she usually dreaded, as it sometimes lead to being treated in ways she didn't like. As much as her disability was a hindrance, she liked being treated the same as everyone else. Slowly Lila shook her head to answer the fauny, it was one sentence she always understood no matter whose lips she was reading. "No" she replied in a near whisper and her expression changed, to one of unsuredness. She didn't know how this female would treat her once she knew.

Kira of Flames

It had been a bad case of seasickness alright. And now that the motion of the boat and the wind was helping his stomach, he was looking for her so he could apologise. He didn't know if she'd been hurt or not, but even so, he hadn't meant to knock her down. Tapping his fingers against his thigh, he scanned the assembled pae until he found the one who looked like the one he'd run into.

Ah! It was her! And, he was relieved to note as he approached her, she didn't appear to be injured. Or too terribly furious. That would make his attempt to apologise very awkward. Clearing his throat as he neared her, he waved.

"Ah, hey, hello. Sorry about that, just a bit ago. Was in a bit of a hurry!"

She did notice the ship's departure, but only because it momentarily made her miss a step. The stumble was very small, but she felt herself wincing internally anyway. This was not her first time dancing on a moving surface. She really should not have missed that step. Well, no matter. She was enjoying herself regardless, and she intended to continue to do so.

She was finding herself quite pleased with his talent and skill with the flute, closing her eyes briefly to let the music itself wash over her as she moved. It was good music, very good music. Thalia gave the others around a broad, inviting smile. This was a good time to enjoy themselves, was it not?

Cadassi was not used to the evil grin. IT still gave him the heeby jeebies everytime she gave it. Which, ironically enough, was more and more often. Holding back a shudder, he pushed the plate of salad away. He had suddenly lost his appetite. Maybe he had given it to her. She seemed to be wolfing the food down no problem.

Returning his train of thought back to the naiad in devil mode, he shrugged. "Pelagious decided going into the forest with a bunch of faeries would more exciting than sea travel. I think he just likes the little faerie's outfits..." he explained. His son's affinity for fashion and women's clothing was something he would never understand.

Eyeing the meat devourer with alarm, he scooted away a fraction of an inch. And keep his hands and fingers to himself. she looked she might eat them too if they got in her way. "So...." he said, unable to think of anything to say besides 'need a napkin'.

Opal peeked out the door. Seeing no one in the hallway, she quickly slipped out and ran down the hall. She was in search of something to do. Something to fill up her mind. She had found, upon waking, that she could think of nothing besides how Logan was faring without her. The last time she had slipped off, it hadn't been pretty when she returned. It was more like she was a runaway bracelet than an actual living thing.

Turning down the this hallway and that, she managed to come across the casino area of the boat. Seeing all the people huddled around various tables was somewhat exciting. If gambling could occupy them, why not her.

She quickly made her way to poker table and asked for the rules. She was suprised to learn that she had to have money to play. She hadn't brought any money with her. Not that she actually had any money to start with. So she settled for sitting at the table and watching the cards. Maybe, if she tried, she could entertain herself that way.

And quit worrying that Logan was destroying their house or himself on a mad search for her.

Tocino's head shot up like a lightening bolt. "You're not going to eat me!?" he asked, fully surprised. Most pae wanted to eat him. Maybe this one was playing a trick. When he asked if he was wearing bacon, he looked down at his body. "I washed in my roommate's shampoo and soap this morning. I did not smell bacon then..." he admited, sniffing his own arms and legs as if testing the theory.

The evening wore on, the ship continued on its journey, and the Pae'il continued taking advantage of the luxurious hospitality. Dinner continued to be served as long as there were Pae'il in the dining room. The kitchen didn't exactly close, but after some time a sign was set up stating that if anyone needed anything for the rest of the night, the stewards would be glad to oblige. Breakfast would be served at sunrise.

The dance floor was open for any who wished to dance the night away. Down another corridor, the quieter bar waited for those needing to relax with a stiff drink.

But the casino was buzzing until late.

Flashing lights and upbeat sounds beckoned Pae'il in through the doors. Those that arrived would be met by even more Avalon fairies: smiling, dressed to the nines, and eager to serve. "Come in, pull up a seat at the table! We've got games for all!"

Optional Prompts

Slots
After being welcomed to the gaming lounge, the fairy presses a special token into your hand. It seems different from the other tokens you see Pae'il using to play elsewhere in the casino anyway. "Everyone gets one free play on the slots," the fairy explains, pointing you to a slot machine. "If you hit a jackpot with your token, you win a special commemorative flask, engraved with a tropical scene to remind you of your fond vacation memories!" He smiles widely, then shrugs a bit. "And if you don't, well...you still had fun, right?"

(Roll three 4-sided dice. If you get three of a kind, ie. 1-1-1, 2-2-2, etc, you win! Otherwise, you get nothing, but at least you had fun? You may only try this game once.)

Blackjack
After taking a few tokens to play from a friendly fairy, you found yourself a seat at one of the card tables. The point of this game seems to be to get cards to total as close to 21 as possible without going over. You also have to beat the dealer's hand at the same time. Right now, you each have 15 on the cards showing. You know you can't stop here, so you're both going to take one more card...

(Roll two 10-sided dice. The first is the value of your card, the second is the value of the dealer's card. Rolling a 1-6 keeps you/the dealer in the game. Rolling a 7 or greater is a bust and an automatic lose for that person. If you and the dealer both bust, you both lose and no one gets anything.

If you both roll 1-6 and stay in the game, then whoever has the higher total/closer to 21 wins. If you win, you get a ceramic fruit/cheese/paring knife with an ornately carved ivory handle. Fancy! If you lose...the dealer mocks you incessantly.)

Roulette
A repetitive 'clacking' noise led you to a table with a big wheel in the middle. It's painted with red and black alternating colors and has numbers on it, and each time it's set spinning, a fairy throws out a little ball that bounces around, eventually landing between wooden slats on a number. Apparently, the point is to predict which number, or at least which color it will land on. Neat!

(This is a simple game. Put everything on black! Roll one 100-sided die. If the number is even, you win a bottle of expensive, imported wine! Enjoy! If you roll an odd number, ur a loser. Boo.)

((Last little just-for-fun prompt for the vacationers for 'tonight'. You may have your Pae play any/all the games if you want, but you can only try for the prizes once, even if they decide to hang around all night and keep playing games in RP. You may play until the next prompt is posted.

In the morning, the ship will land at its first stop and cruisers will be given a choice of how they'd like to spent their time on land, exploring the island and sunbathing at their leisure, or joining the Aquatl guides on a scuba diving excursion to search for nature's wonders, mysterious underwater ruins, and even treasure!))

Elizabeth had explored enough of the ship to satisfy her need for knowledge, and her stomach had reminded her that it was dinnertime. After supping in the dining hall, she peeks into the casino. This could get...dangerous.

But it seemed that the Avalon fairies had given all the passengers a free try at each of the games. Smart business, that. Lure them in with a free play, keep them giving away their money all night. The house always wins, it's true.

Well, no use wasting her own free play. Elizabeth sits down at the blackjack table, opting to start with the game that had any kind of skill to it. The dealer turns up 15, causing her to smirk. 15 is the worst. Her first card had been a 5, which was not a bad place to start; lots of room for movement. Then she'd been dealt...a 10. "Nuts," she mutters darkly. Tied at 15. Well, there was no use for it now, she had to take another card. "Hit me," she tells the dealer.

The dealer turns his own card up. A 9! Elizabeth lets hope surge a little before her own card is dealt. An 8. She makes a face. Busted. "Thanks anyway, man," she says, patting the table before getting up. Off to a chance game now. Hopefully she'd win something.

Continuing to match his own movements with hers, they somehow ended up wandering into the casino. A fitting place, but not one he was particularly familiar with, not one he had an interest in learning about. Per the chance, however, he found himself swinging by to try at a game before continuing on his merry way.

Like the slots; boy had he been close on that one...

...and even a spin of the roulette table. Hjortur had thought this would be the same as the rest and was already heading back on his way and out when the fairies yelled him over to collect his winning.

Huh... He had won something? Neat?

A grin slipped on his face as he saw just what was his prize; oh, that looked like such a fine wine. Perhaps it was something he could share with this lovely lady he had me...- His thoughts pausing, he looked around. Had he lost her in the lights?
