*With the meeting getting back on schedule, Naiiko and William both listened as Regi explained all that happened in their latest skirmish with the Kepi. Their communication systems took a major hit and it would be down for repairs. But then Regi explained that he wouldn't be sending the operatives out into the world without a set of eyes and ears*
*Then came a blonde-haired girl on the monitor in front of the team. The sudden blast of electric guitar startled William, but Naiiko barely moved an inch. Her emerald eyes shifted over to her comrade for a second before settling on the monitor once more. The girl introduced herself as Ryder and she was to be Regi's Comm substitute until their own systems were back online. When Regi asked for the group to introduce themselves, they obliged*
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Ryder. I'm William Sinclair, but just William is fine."
"Hello. I'm Naiiko Inari. Charmed."
*She was new and young but if Regi trusted her to be his stand-in, then the ninja and ranger would do the same*

James sat through the meeting and listen to what Regi had to say. Seeing how the systems were down it meant he wouldn't be able to do as many mission as he normally would do and he was not to happy about that, but this isn't the first time something like this has happen so no reason to get bent out of shape because of it. It was then the young Ryder appeared on the screen. James didn't flinch at the site but was a bit shocked. So this was Ryder. He had never met her in person but had gotten intel from her a lot. Their were in a few missions when she would update him on the mission status. She wasn't exactly as he pictured her, he always thought she was a bit more serious or a bit older but if she is the Ryder he 'knows' she could stay up all night playing PS4 if she wanted.
James- It's been a while Ryder. I hope your intel is as good as always.

*The young girl wrinkled her nose a bit. William called her a "Miss". If only he knew her hobbies were and she wasn't taking about video games. Ryder was a very out going and well liked young girl. She had many friends, specially other gamers. She enjoys greatly thrill sports like sky diving and base jumping. Granted, she isn't allowed to them alone right now but it could be worse. As far as she is concerned "Miss" was the wrong thing to be calling her. Probably best to clear this all up now before it gets out of hand.*
Ryder - Miss? There is no "Miss" here. Just Ryder, kay? Other than that nice to meetcha both.
*It was then the silent soldier spoke up. Ryder looked over and gave a squeal. Why had she not noticed him before? Was she that blind? Well, no the young woman had just gotten off her games and gave Regi her full attention before. Now she is seeing who she is dealing with. Thus far even with some noobs in the ranks, it should all be good.
The young blonde loved helping out James. Her thrill seeking side adored him...just not in the way most people would think. She idolized and envied him a bit but wouldn't trade up her role in the Noe for anything, she liked working with computers so much more then being on the front lines. She had games on those. It was time to get serious, she would definitely be helping out the best the Noe had. It was still good to see a friendly...ish face.*
Ryder - James~! Oh my god, how long has it been? I can assure you that my skills have nothing but improved. I can handle anything you throw at me.

Jezebel watched as the good Doctor freaked out and excused herself from the room. Her eyes flickered with the tiniest bit of excitement, which only Regi could register. She never really did intense research on the women that joined the union. They couldn’t hurt her Nanni like the males could. However it looked like she had really missed something big in Shelby’s past. A mistake that she wouldn’t let continue to be over looked for much longer. She sat calmly and watched as Ryder appeared on a screen, waiting till the opportune moment that she could sneak away.

Shelby calmed down considerably since her unfortunate outburst. The doctor skulked in some time ago and took a seat in the back of the room, more out of embarrassment than anything else. The meeting had moved on since then, and she was glad for it.
Regi had introduced a new senior member of the team. Ryder seemed like a feisty and capable girl and the doctor liked her immeidiately. Shelby chuckled briefly in spite of herself. Ryder was somewhat known in some circles for her abilities, but she had no idea the girl was associated with the Noe. Although Shelby had heard of the name, she didn't know anything about the girl herself. It wasn't important at the time, she was simply a useful tool for missions.
With a bit of a sigh and a forced grin, the doctor raised her hand. "A pleasure to meet you Ryder. I'm Shelby, resident psychiatrist and outburst extrodinaire." The chuckles were a little more genuine this time, but Shelby still felt a little out of her comfort zone. Only time would settle her down completely.

*As the young trill seeker waited for the rest to speak up she had bought up a small game of tick-tac-toe on the screen. She was patient and wasn't there to push anyone into things but her attention span was only so long. So far there was; William, Naiiko, James...she seen Jezebel and since she wasn't doing anything the young blonde assumed the elder was behaving for now and didn't wanna start something. So four more had to say something. Seeing as Inanna wasn't there...something Ryder would ask about later.
It wasn't too much longer after that thought a movement on the screen. Zeroing it on it the little pigtailed girl saw the Doctor and she spoke. From what she was hearing, the doctor seemed to be having a bad day...or least she thought so with how stiff the woman was. May as well try to lighten the mood.*
Ryder - Pleasures all mine, mate. Hope ya find me useful~
*She giggled for a moment and then her face became a bit straight laced with a rather animated groan.*
Ryder - Otherwise, I may needs to think of something else to do if this don't work out...and I ain't good at much else...
*That was ended with a shrug as if she had given up thinking about, so far things were going smoothly. It was now down to three, one girl and two boys...least if they decided to introduce themselves anyway.*

While the commotion went on with Regi and Jez, Sami just shook her head until the comm director spoke up again, a moment before the screen lit up and loud music greeted then, startling the young assassin. It took a moment for her to calm down while everyone introduced themselves to Ryder.
Once Shelby returned and did the same as the others, Sami smiled at the doctor before returning her attention to the girl on the screen. Standing up, she spoke.
"Sami Thomson. Nice to meet you."

James silently nodded back to the young girl. Now that James knew they would be in Ryder's care he felt a lot more at ease. No one else in the Noe gave better Intel then this girl and he wasn't afraid to admit it.
James - Keep being in great Intel as you always do. I know you are up for the task.
For those that knew James, that was him giving them his best praise, one he knew that Ryder would appreciate. Although for those that don't know him, it might not sound like it because of the tone it his voice. After that he remained quiet for a while even after Jezebel left and Shelby re-entered, now back to her normal self. He noticed Ryder started to play her game. He knew her patients was only so much, but then again he thought it was normal for girls her age since he had way too much patients being a snipe and what not. It was then his partner spoke up and said her name. He can't believe it had slipped his mind that these two haven't officially met yet since Ryder would only talk to him on the past missions.
James - Ryder, this is actually "Scarlet".
When they were on mission together James would call Sami "Scarlet" to help hide her identity. While the Kepi do know who Sami Thomson, but what they don't know is that she goes on missions for the Noe. They think she's somewhere being protected. So to also help keep her under the radar, she is known as James Black's little assassin 'Scarlet'.

*The young girl looked at the rest of the group then another spoke up. It was a young woman whom introduced herself as Sami. She didn't know what Sami did cause she hadn't read the files sent to her yet...she wanted to know the people before the forms. That way she wasn't getting her hopes up for anything.*
Ryder - Good to meet ya, Sami.
*James spoke up once more and being who she was Ryder was gonna have a little fun, knowing she could get away with it as long as she held up her end of the deal of keeping the intel good.*
Ryder - Aww, James you're gonna make me blush.
*Then James cleared up who Sami was...and it didn't make any sense to Ryder. Her head tilted to the side as she mustered a small response of-*
Ryder - Oohhhh.....
*The wheels in her head started her head. Unfortunately, it meant that she was thinking. When Ryder started thinking, unless it involved a mission, 9 times outta 10 the young techie normally got herself in trouble because she was about to say something stupid.*
Ryder - She don't look scarlet to me. More pale then anything else, I would have expected something like snow or crystal...Crap...I can't stop what comes outta my mouth sometimes, sorry about that. Ehehe....I'm in trouble...
*Regi had no time to scold the young girl when she back pedaled herself. She did admit to having that problem censoring herself. Regi and everyone else whom worked with her had to get used to it. As much as she wished she could control it Ryder couldn't. No one really held it against as she was still very young and didn't have much of an attention span. Least she apologized...*

The young girl was indeed right, Sami did look nothing like a Scarlet but James did have his reasons after all.
James - As sharp as ever Ryder. But remember this, if she doesn't look like a Scarlet to you, then neither will she to the enemy.
While James may be a hard one to understand, he does have some genius to him in the ways of stealth. He has been in this business for a long time now and one thing he knew was a code could always be broken or communications could always be intercepted. While Sami would most be more suited for a code name like Snow because of her appearance and attitude, but because of that she would be easy to spot. But by her code name being Scarlet, the enemy would be mostly looking out for either a red head or a very angry looking person. While innocent looking Sami could sneak right under their noises. The fact the it even puzzled Ryder was all the proof James needed to know it was working.

Jezebel waited till the moment was right, jumping up from her seat with Wilson in toe.
"May we be excused, Wilson and I need to attend to our monthly Parvo shot." She snickered as she went to climb on top of the table and into the air ducks.
Regi as if Sensing the disturbance to come, slowly positioned himself to the right of Jezebel. Calmly placing his hand on her shoulder he pushed her back into her seat. Leaning over her,
"Don't be silly Jez, your Parvo shot isn't until next week." he smiled out as a shiver of fear raced down Jez's spine. Slumping in her chair she slowly turning her attention back to the screen with Rider on it.

Sami looked at James a little confuse as he told Ryder his code name for the young assassin. A moment later, she sat back down in her seat with her head lowered.
Scarlet.. That used to be mom's name before she changed it.
Closing hr eyes, Sami fought back the urge to cry, even silently scolding herself. It had been three plus years since then yet she still cried over those she lost. She missed them dearly. Including her step-father which she never imagined doing. All these thoughts going through her head made the girl think of her grandparents. How they must feel. Sami missed them too. She wanted to go visit them or at least write them, but she didn't want to put them in danger. Not knowing what they've heard. It was probably best if they didn't know she was still alive

Fatal didn't react to the guitar.
Regi had a weird way of dealing with formalities. Fatal preferred one-on-one over most things. The most Fatal could offer was an emotionless introduction.
"You may call me Fatal."
To have waited so long for that felt unrewarding. Fatal kept from reacting too deeply. He was the kind of guy to get tired of someone like Ryder very quickly, especially with how she spoke to Sami. Assassins dealt with enough, in Fatal's opinion. A relationship with Ryder would be tolerated until things got better. It wasn't like Fatal had any other option.
The tie with Scarlet and Sami did get Fatal's attention. It awoke emotions in Sami. In the defense of James, Scarlet served a name of distraction. Yet it clearly distressed Sami. Fatal tended to get very confused by everything going on here. The issue was that he was starting to care for these people. He secretly yearned to know why these people were here, serving this particular cause to the Noe Union. Their philosophy wouldn't be as deep as his. Fatal killed the ones who trained him for having arguable philosophies. When he understood more about them, his mind would open up. They had to open up to him too, of course. Fatal expected all this exchange of information to be an interesting experience later on. That was, if it didn't get in the way of any missions.

*The little blonde just leaned back in her chair. James was smart but at times his choices just even concerned her. In some ways he was hiding one but exposing another. Not professional in her opinion.*
Ryder - No, it don't but it fits Inanna.
*The whole situation with Jez and the way Sami acted with the given name didn't go unnoticed by the little blonde but she had a strange seriousness about her. It didn't fit the girl. She was supposed to be happy, peppy unless it was mission time which it wasn't.
Having dealt with Jez gave the Comm Director the moments he needed. Regi gave Ryder the signal to explain which she gladly did. Looking back to James, their newest aid continued.*
Ryder - I can understand that you want to use code names but try something more gender neutral. Colors are not the way to go. As I said before Scarlet doesn't fit Sami, that and she seems to have a negative reaction to the name; which could lead to problems when engaged with the enemy, but it does Inanna. If you used it in the same area as Inanna was in people could easily zoom in on our leader, something I am sure you are not trying to do. Scarlet also gives away that it is a female, meaning they will for go the male part just to target the females...the Kepi probably already know "Scarlet" is female. Needless to say...your choice I feel is faulty, you are putting the whole female side at risk. Inanna even more so. I expect better from you James...you're supposed to better at this. Not from what I see right now.
*Leaning forward letting her head rest on folded hands, the girl continued. She had several good point already and she didn't seem to be done yet. Ryder was anything but incomplete in her work.*
Ryder - Things like animals are little hard to gender specify if you choose correctly. Like "Hawk" and "Cobra" or even "Spider" and "Scorpion". Having code names like that would leave them guessing more. Just don't go into specifics like "Black Widow" or "Black Mamba"...they sound feminine so then we are back where we started... To me Sami would be more bird of prey...
*Crouching down so you could only see her eyes she made her way slowly back into view as she spoke. The next few lines seemingly becoming animated once more.*
Ryder - Silently stalking from the highest points before she swoops in for kill before the enemy can even blink!!!
*With that Ryder had fallen out of her chair with the motion of her arm when she demonstrated the "swoop" having more energy and force then she intended...*
Ryder - Ouch...hang on...
*Crawling back into her chair the young girl shook her head, she over did it a little that time but it was normal.*
Ryder - As I was saying that is just me, so I wouldn't use it. This is why in transmissions, I do refer to Inanna as "Taipan". It really don't fit her at all but it does at the same time with how deadly she can be. It leave some confused, I over heard some of ours once thinking I was talking about a new member or something.
*Ryder laughed a bit at the memory. She never did tell them it was Inanna she was speaking to. It made it easier for the blonde then trying to explain the motives behind it. No body needed to know her methods anyway, least not at that rank.
It was then she took in what seems to be the final member. "Fatal". Odd but he was an assassin and good at his job so it worked. He also didn't seem to want to talk with her. Giving a little wave, the blonde relaxed her attitude a bit. No use making enemies out of allies. Hopefully, they could get along.*
Ryder - Good to know you Fatal...least I hope so.
*It was then...Ryder remember something...*
Ryder - Hey Regi, where is Inanna, anyway?

James was quiet the whole time. From both Jezebel's situation to Ryder speaking on why she thought that Scarlet was a bad name for Sami he didn't make a sound. He never uncrossed his arms or even made so much as a sigh. James saw well were Ryder was coming from with Scarlet being a name that fit Innana and how she could end up the target. But he knew the Kepi would pin Innana with that code name. For on big reason is, in his transmission Sami or Scarlet is always his helper and does any command he gives her. If it was Innana the commands would be the other way around and the Kepi knew that. But in a way he knew this would happen one day. And after seeing Sami's reaction to hearing the name, he knew as well that would happen. He never did get around to telling Sami her code name nor why he picked it. He was always so focused on mission it was never his priority, well now it was time to shed a little light on the mind of James. He lifted his head and looked at Ryder, and even with his mask on it was clear he was looking into her eyes.
James - Scarlet Renee Thompson.....is where I got the name from.
The masked man took one look over to Sami, nodded and then looked back to Ryder.
James - Scarlet was an ex-Noe member who I went on many missions with. Her along with Jason Thomson were the main two I use to go on missions with beside the old Noe Commander. If you can guess, Jason and Scarlet are Sami's late parents.
At that moment James uncrossed his arms, leaned forward, placed his elbows on his thighs and rest his chin on her his hands that where balled up. He looked as if one in deep thought even though he wasn't actually in deep thought. It was merely the pose he was in.
James - While everything you said is correct and while I agree a name like Snow, Crystal or even something like Sparrow would fit her better,.....but there is one reason I picked Scarlet. While not on a mission as you can see, she is shy and bashful to the point you wonder if she even a member of the Noe. But on missions she's completely different. Her eyes are cold and her moves are swift. She can kill in a instant and can be very ruthless......just like her mother was. For me it was only fit that her be code name be Scarlet seeing how she's a spit image of her mother.*slight pause*.....I completely understand if think it makes no sense, hell in many ways you just point out, it does not......but for me.....no other code name would fit her better...
After that James was quiet, lost in deep thought. He remembered both of Sami's parents and how well of soldiers they were. He knew that Sami aware that her father was a member of the Noe, but knew nothing of her mother. This must have been a shock for her to hear this new news about he and he had a feeling that she may ask him more questions about it after this meeting was over.
While he was thinking others as well must be in a bit of shock. No one had ever heard James talk this much or even things about his past for real. This was really the first information on his past the people are actually info on him that aren't rumors. It also must have gotten people to think he was a lot other then the perception of him being in his late twenties. Just how old was James really? The other question was now that James talked so much, would anyone hear more from him later oh did he use up all the words James could say in a day.
