Just 'cause I do not have something others have doesn't mean that I have to sit in a corner in wait of death,” the blonde responded while playing innocent to having the sharp reflexes and heightened senses of a ninja assassin. Scratching the side of his cheek, he flashed a light smile. “I'm not normal nor special. I'm just a guy trying to live life to the fullest. I wanted to know the feelings others get to experience firsthand instead of sitting in the same home and letting other people do things for me. ”
xXx“I didnt like being pitied or looked down upon for being blind so I wanted to show that I could be independent... I don't want to be a burden on my family and friends. My teachers never told me their occupation so for all I know, I could've been taught things by expert spies and whatnot,” he chuckled lightly as he lightly tugged her forward to keep her moving. His freehand had flicked a knife into an alleyway a few yards behind them yet he never showed any signs of having done anything according to his occupation.

"somehow, I get the feeling you're not telling me the whole truth.... By oh well." she shrugged, putting the pendent back in her pocket. "anyways, as to your question. I was.... A street fighter for a while...." she mumbled, kicking a rock. "but, I got out of that. Found something more like what my dad do- did..." she hummed, her eyes flickering with mixed emotions.

Mosquitos bugged the heck out of him yet always seemed attracted to him.

So she was one of the three reasons he had retired. He'd only heard about it through the times the family got together to discuss how things were going and mourning losses. They'd mentioned Trevor Shadowfang, aka Time, had retired from the assassin business to be with his family. Then someone stated that a few months after he'd retired, his younger brother moved in with him. About five years later, Trevor was seen outside of his house yet still looked rather pale and somewhat depressed. His informant started checking in on him regularly about six years ago yet wouldn't really speak much of the assassin.
xXxRealizing what he'd just asked, he shifted his eyes towards the ground. “He was good at his job from what I've heard, but he retired when he was in his early twenties... There are rumors circulating about what happened after his retirement but technically only two people know any real details. My family kinda does what he did so... Yea,” he murmured lightly as his hand twitched slightly by his side. He kept his tone low and less cheery when he gave a vague response before she could question him.

"yeah, there were a few people who called him that when they came around the house. like Effie" she sighed and then looked at him. ".... not even i know what happened after he came home. i ran away when i was little.... and i only recently found my way back.... ""wait, so... your family does what he did? fun!" she smirked, stuffing her hands in her pockets. "....i don't know if my dad realizes what i do for a 'living' .... but i don't think he'd want his baby girl doing anything dangerous. if he finds out, it'll probably be the end of my if you can call it a career."

Ephraim was his informant from the time he was ten up until he retired and yet he still stayed in contact with him for personal reasons. From what my older siblings said, they grew close in their missions together and always had each other's backs. Do Ephraim and Time still seem close?” Lulu hummed back in a cheerful manner, his feet starting to move again. She didn't seem to be judging his choice of occupation since her dad might haves problem with hers.
xXx“Yep. It's why I'm the black sheep of the family... Of the pack actually. If it weren't for my mother telling my dad no to leaving me in the wilds when I was still itty bitty, I most likely wouldn't be here today. Most of my years have been spent on training to make myself seem useful in some mannerism, but I'm just a burden to the entire pack. Always have been, always will be. People get tired of explaining things to the blind and never really seem to have the patience for 'em either. They can pretend to be happy and all, but deep down they just think of those of us lacking one of our senses as a burden. My best traits are that of healing and self-combustion. I fell into this lake during training once, my cousin having to come out to get me, and had leeches attached all over. My cousin fried them off of himself with small sparks so I thought I'd attempt only to set myself on fire. It was pretty funny to me after my sister had to heal all the burns on my skin, but my cousin freaked out and gave me a lecture about friction of molecules needing to be discreet 'cause spontaneously combusting isn't something you see everyday. My retort was "what am I, the sorcerer's apprentice?" and he whacked me upside the head followed by all of my brothers and sisters slapping me upside the head. I thought it was funny, but no one in my family really has a sense of humor,” he chuckled lightly before sighing lightly. “My brother Luke who is about three years older than me has faith that I can control my temper and the entire full moon scene while everyone else states that as the black sheep, I should've just been left in some part of the woods where I could never find my way home or just drowned in some other body of water. Anywho~ I'm on a high class medic in the occupation of being a ninja assassin. But I mean seriously, who wants a doctor that can't see?”
xXxThere was the hints of just kidding behind how he spoke even if how he stated things seemed rather cold and harsh. He spoke truth and yet somehow found humor in such negativity. “I believe your dad wouldn't like to see you hurt, but he would want you to be happy. If this job of yours makes you happy, I'm sure he'll understand.”

As for what I've heard about Ephraim... He doesn't care to open up with his feelings,” Lulu snickered lightly at the thought of possibly getting others to date. He didn't even have a chance at getting a date himself so how could he get another person a date? He immediately shook off the thoughts by sniffing the air again, the air still stinking pretty badly but he was used to it by now.
xXx“You just gotta have a little faith in him. I don't believe rumors until I get to meet the people in the rumors so I won't say your dad's emotionally unstable or Ephraim is a coldhearted individual, but considering the fact that he retired after only fourteen years for his family, I'd say he must really care about you which would upset him if you got hurt. Then you have to take into account his old occupation in which your childlike innocence had to see him hurt when he came home. Considering you left when you were little as well and most likely just started to reconnect to him... He'd do just about anything to keep you happy so you don't leave again... That is my theory at the very least,” he said in a slightly thoughtful tone. He then blinked and shifted his eyes around a little as if he'd heard something only to wrap his freehand around Truth's waist and jumping up into the air just as a car screeched by where they'd just been walking at.
xXxHitting the ground on both feet, he flashed the female a gentle smile. “Gomenasai. I heard it coming and acted on instinct. You're okay, yes?” he murmured in a low rumble, his chest vibrating with a growl that hadn't reached an audible sound as of yet.

Noticing his jacket was being gripped rather tightly, he flashed a light smile and leaned forwards slightly so his lips were relatively close to the female's ear. It was a fun yet semi-dirty song, but he hoped it'd snap her back to the here and now.

My twenty-one siblings all had the same reaction although two of my brothers caught me singing The Count and The Ding Dong song. My cousins introduced me to different kinds of music so I figured you'd snap out of the staring after a Hyundai Sonata that's no longer there. My eldest brother taught me the different sounds of vehicles,” Lulu chuckled lightly as he stood up straight again. His face had a soft red tinge to it from having sung in front of her, but he was happy to have snapped her out of that dazed stupor.

Dantes_river i know exactly how you feel! also; i'm home~ ༺༔༓༔༶༔Truth༔༶༔༓༔༻"hm... well thanks... i actually needed that...." she chuckled softly, giving his hand a small squeeze. "and don't worry, i don't think anyone else heard you besides me." she smirked, letting out a soft sigh as she finally spotted the school in the distance. "we're almost there, i can see the school up ahead." she breathed, adjusting her bag once more as her pace quickened. after meeting Lucian, she was actually fairly excited to go to school here.... maybe there'd be some girls like her old friends?
