Lilly frowned. "I'm sorry about your loss. I wish it would've never happened. You deserve the best, you know?" she scooted back to her cushion on the couch. Lilly's eyes widened at Suki's strange reaction. Does she not understand I was trying to comfort him? I'm much too young for him any way! Lilly only considered him a friend after all. Wait. How old was he? Oops. Just a year older. But still. No intimate feelings were intended to be shown.

Leigthon smiled lightly at Lilly's comment, then felt a shirt thrown at him. He threw it to the couch as he rose and followed Suki. Leighton was enraged easily. His black eyes were already turning to a pale red. "What is wrong with you?" he said just above a whisper.

Lilly wanted to follow them, but felt it was best not to. She pushed her knees against her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. Resting her head on her knees, she closed her eyes and repeated the vision of the figure. All she got out of it was shaggy brown hair. He looked young.

Alex let out a breath, noticing the sun was slowly rising over the city buildings. "Scarlett, we'll meet here again tonight." he took her hand and gently kissed it. He smiled at her as he opened up his wings, and jumped off the sky rise and flew to his hidden home in the forest, at the outskirts of the city.

Scarrlet smiled, wiping away the trails left by her earlier tears. "Of course." Standing slowly after Alex disappeared into the lightening horizon, Scarrlet jumped down and landed softly in the shadows. She ran to her apartment building nearby, walking in just as the clock on the wall struck eight. "Well that was a late night." Scarrlet said as she lay down on her couch. Sleep came easily.

Suki stayed curled in her tight ball on the counter as Leighton followed, but the tears stopped.

Leighton leaned on the counter across from Suki. He looked solemnly at her with his large dark brown eyes. "Suki." he said quietly. Leighton rested his head on his hands. "What's wrong?" He wondered why the voice wasn't screaming at him like usual. Where did it go?

Lilly opened her eyes, wondering if she fell asleep. She sat up and glanced over at the clock. Nope. The room seemed darker, though. Here pupils were large, leaving only an edge of her violet eyes visible. Lilly slowly stood, trying to listen for some one in the house. Hearing Leighton's whisper, her shoulders relaxed and she flopped back onto the beat up sofa. She re-did her hair and put it back up in tight bun. She sighed and rested her head on the arm rest, keeping her eyes open.

Suki glanced at Leighton over her knees. "Can I show you instead of saying it? It's kind of complicated and difficult to explain..." Suki reached her hand out to the sink, touching the knives that lay in the bucket of bleach inside. Suki stood and dumped to bleach down the drain and laid her tools onto the counter, but held her favorite. It was small, but sharp. The tip of the blade curved slightly. It was unique, it made it special.

Leighton stood up. He nodded and didn't say a word. His wings were folded to his back, but they made a ruffling noise. When seeing the sharp weapon, he raised an eyebrow.

Suki showed him everything. How she couldn't see the past, how she killed and stole her victims memories, and how she felt about Leighton. "It's a lot to put into words...." Suki whispered. Seeing Leighton's look at the weapon, she gripped the blade accidentally, causing a torrent of blood to seep out of her grip the concealed the knife that she used to steal the memories. Suki screamed and dropped the knife, screaming again when it landed on the tip of the blade.

Alex soared gracefully past the trees. Suddenly there was a piercing pain in his right wing, and he fell to the dirt ground hard. He yelped and held his wing. "Ahh!" he screamed. Screams filled his throat but never came out of his mouth. He gritted his teeth so hard his gums bled. Looking at his wing, he saw a bullet had went completely through his wing. There the bullet was, next to him on the ground. It was a titanium bullet with the engraving of the initials "RS". He picked it up and stuffed it in his pocket.
"Who's there?" he yelled through the dark forest. He heard leaves rustle and draw near.
There was a dark chuckle in front of him, and a dark silhouette with red eyes was in front of him. "Don't get in the way, Alex." he raised the gun to Alex's head. Alex grunted and tackled the figure, but went right through it.
"What the?" he turned, but the figure was gone. Alex ran to his shack. Along the way he coughed up blood.

The black figure chuckled, his voice echoing through the forest, making it impossible to pin-point his exact location. "You can't stand in our way." then he disappeared completely.

Leighton opened his eyes after seeing every thing. He was speechless, and he was never good at talking any way. Then he heard Lilly scream in the next room. He sprinted to her, finding Lilly in the corner of the room, holding her knees against her chest. Her face was stained with running eyeliner and tears. "Lilly! What's wrong?"
She stared at him. "I saw a demon. He.." her voice trailed off for a moment in shock. "He's in a forest. And the figure! It was with him. It shot him. In..in his wing." she coughed from loss of breath.
Leighton frowned. "It's okay." he picked her up in his arms and carefully placed her on the couch. "Just rest." he sighed.

Suki followed Leighton, seeing him put Lilly onto the couch. Grabbing a towel from the kitchen, Suki ran in and wiped away the eyeliner and tears. "It's going to be okay, I promise." Suki whispered, reaching into Lilly's mind to see what had scared her so much. Suki saw the gun shot, the shadowy figure, and Alex. Suki noticed the towel running red from her hands, but ignored it. "I'll be back in a moment." Suki opened the door to the basement, and ran down the flight of stairs. Finding the book of memories, she brought it back upstairs. "Find who it is. The figure." Suki said as she handed the book to Leighton. "Lilly might be able to help since she has seen him so many times in the last couple of hours." Suki continued talking as she went around the living room, shutting the curtains tightly, and turning the lock on the door. "I'll hunt down Scarrlet tonight." Suki said, her eyes turning as red as the blood dripping from her hands. She looked more like a demon than an angel.

Lilly turned onto her back as Leighton gently handed her the book. She scrolled through the pages of strangers, looking for a familiar face.
Leighton sighed and walked over to Suki with a rag found on the table. He took her hand and wrapped the rag around it, then tied it in a knot, making sure it was tight enough to have pressure to stop the blood from flowing. Then Leighton sat with Lilly, watching her search for the figure.
Lilly stopped turning pages, and pressed her finger on the name and image of a young, handsome man. He had deep brown eyes and brown shaggy hair. His face was flawless, no scars, nothing. "Riku Sekemoto." Lilly slowly looked up at Leighton. "Isn't your last name Sekemoto?" she asked lightly.

Leighton felt the urge to vomit. He was breathing hard and beginning to sweat. "No. It can't be him. No. No!" he stood and blinked hard. His vision was going in and out of focus. "It can't be him."
Lilly's face grew concerned. "But, Leighton," she began, "It's him. I know it is."
"No!" Leighton's voice raised, making Lilly wince.

Suki thanked Leighton quietly when he wrapped her hand, and sat down on the couch arm next to Lilly. "I remember him, her, him....." Suki whispered as the pages of people flipped by. Seeing the page Lilly stopped at, Suki gasped, and the shock only increased with Leighton's odd reaction. "Leighton what's wrong!? And this doesn't make any sense....I never killed him!" Suki said, anxiety painting her voice. Her vision blurred, then focused sharper than usual. Taking the book from Lilly's hands, Suki read the memories she had gotten from the man portrayed. "There's no date of death. I record everything, date's of death included!" Suki yelled, standing up quickly and tossing the book at the window across the room.

Lilly gulped hard and looked at Leighton. Her hands were trembling badly. "He's..your brother." she said. "The one who died in The Gates of Fire." Suddenly a movie played in her head, showing he Gates of Fire, Riku, and how he died in a bombing attack by the angels. She even got to see Leighton's wife die. The gruesome scene left tears in Lilly's eyes.

Leighton fell to the couch and buried his head in his hands and began sobbing. He gasped for air as he cried. He nodded, still hiding his face. Leighton.. the voice said in a melancholy tone. He didn't know how to respond. His brother. He was controlling him, making him kill random people, bringing out his true demon self. That's not like Riku.

(this is mionnskyy17)

Suki breathed in and out in shallow ragedy gasps, letting all her anger seep out of her body. Leighton needed everyone he could get right now, even it did seem confusing. Sitting next to the demon, Suki put her arm around his shoulders and attmepted to confort him. Seeing the tears in Lilly's eyes, she knew the day was going to be rough, as well as the nights ahead. Scarrlet can wait, we need to find Riku.

Leighton coughed from crying so hard. He had put his life into protecting Riku until his death. Since then, he's stayed alive for him. Though he still has that edge of depression from letting his little brother down. It really is me, brother. Leighton could tell he was crying as well. I'm sorry..so sorry. Leighton's eyes narrowed in betrayal. Why didn't you tell me? How could you do this? he screamed at Riku in his head. Riku didn't say anything. The response was a sigh, and footsteps walking away, slowly fading.

Lilly gulped back vomit and blinked back tears. She was a mess. All of the discoveries and drama of just one night had overwhelmed her; she felt she was about to break and go mad. Her whole body was shaking. Lilly was only an average city girl, she was always so shy and quiet. Nothing like this was ever expected to happen. Curiosity killed the cat.
