Vanessa smiled widely, showing her full set of perfect teeth and fangs. "It's nice to meet you." She looked at Kirk and leaned her head closer to him. "How about you take her walking? I need to go check on Nixon and send some mail out with him." she winked as she mumbled to him.

 נσѕнJosh flew his Nimbus 2000 to the ground by the three first years. He adjusted his Slytherin robes and took hold of his broom and began trudging to the group. Josh himself was only a second year. For a moment, he caught gazes with Vanessa and winked teasingly. They had been friends in the past, at one point a couple. But that was long over. As he walked over, he waved at her with a warm smile and ruffled his blond spiky hair. "Vanessa." unexpectedly, he hugged her. Josh nodded politely at the other two strangers as he released her. "I'm Josh. Second year in Slytherin." he addressed the strangers.

Vanessa didn't return the hug, only squirmed a bit. "Josh." she crossed her arms when he released her. "I see you're still slithering around." she raised an eyebrow and spoke with a slight attitude. "Have you broke any more hearts lately?" Her jaw clenched.

Kirk could feel the tension about to snap between Vanessa and Josh. He looked at Katari with a confused expression. Then he looked at Josh and politely greeted him. "Nice to meet you. Kirk, first year. Gryffindor. I'd love to stay and chat, but my friend and I were just leaving to go wander around the school." He smiled at Vanessa. "Bye, see you later," he whispered to her. "Again, it was nice meeting you." he said to Josh.

Josh only smiled at Vanessa and laughed. "Vanessa, you haven't changed at all. You're still your beautiful, funny self." he showed no sign of offense, but it did hurt him. He addressed Kirk. "Oh well it was nice meeting you two. You two enjoy yourselves." He wrapped his arm around Vanessa so his hand met her forearm and began walking away from the two. Josh looked over his shoulder and waved bye.
"So, Vanessa," he began as they were away from Kirk and Katari, "don't you think it's best we be nice to each other?" he took his arm off of her and faced her, causing her to stop walking. "I mean, we are in the same school now. Same roof to." he raised an eyebrow at her, mimicking her.

Kirk watched the two walk away. "Well, wasn't that interesting?" He felt like there was something up between the two, but he decided to keep it to himself.

Vanessa wanted to slap Josh for making her walk away. She reluctantly let him take her. As he spoke, she crossed her arms and tapped a foot impatiently, staring at the ground. Vanessa finally looked up at him. "What makes you think you deserve to be treated nicely? After what you did?" she laughed sarcastically. "I don't think so."
Vanessa would never act like this with any one else, but Josh made her want to snap. Especially for the things he did..She shooed away the thoughts before tears would come to her large oceanic eyes.

Kirk wanted to go back to Vanessa and Josh, see what they were disputing about. But he didn't want to leave Katari. "Hey, how about we catch up at dinner? We can try and sit to together." He stared deep into her eyes. "I'm gonna go explore my classes, so bye!" he smiled and walked towards the couple, still fighting.

Josh sighed and held her shoulders. "Vanessa, please." his eyes widened. "I know what I did before was wrong, but that's over now." his voice slightly raised. He wanted to say how he still loved her, but now wasn't the best time. "This is getting really ridiculous." he said breathy. He let go of her as he saw Kirk approaching. Josh awkwardly scratched the back of his head as he came up.

Katari wandered around the building alone, taking in all the wonderful sights. Turning a corridor, she ran head on into someone. "Oh... H-Hi." She managed to mumble out as she awkwardly picked up her things. "I'm sorry we keep running into each other like this. We really need to meet some other way. I'm Katari." She extended her hand for him to shake

Kirk knew he just created an awkward tension between him, Vanessa, and Josh. "Sorry if I'm interrupting here. I just wanted to explore the campus with you guys. One, cause Josh is a second year. He probably knows more about this place than you, Vanessa." he smiled warmly at her. "And two, I sense something weird, not bad weird, but weird about Katari. There's something."

Vanessa shifted uncomfortably, but kept glaring at Josh. "Maybe she's just shy. At least she's not a total jerk." she said harshly as she kept gazes with Josh. She took his broom and shoved it on his stomach. "I have to go, Kirk. Nixon needs to get out of his cage." Vanessa said to Kirk vaguely as she stormed off, towards the Hufflepuff dormitory.
Leighton stumbled back as she bumped him. "Oh, it's fine." he helped pick up her books and smoothed his Ravenclaw robe. "Leighton." he said as he shook her hand. "You're a first year, right?" he asked, trying to start conversation. Leighton released her hand and ran his hand through his black hair.

"Yeah, I am." She said with a half smiling, noticing his robe. "I'm a Ravenclaw too!" She didn't want to seem too excited or even desperate, but she was so entranced by him she couldn't help acting like a little girl. "Guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other." she said more calmly to smooth things over

Leighton smiled awkwardly. "Cool. This is my third year here." He rested his arms at his sides. "Sounds good. I'm on the Quidditch team, too. You fly?" Leighton asked.
Vanessa stormed into the Hufflepuff lobby and slammed the door shut and continued walking. Kyree perked up and looked at her with a concerning look. Vanessa just shook her head and jogged up the stairs and into her room which she shared with Xiola and Kyree. Xiola was in their room, playing with her rat named Peyo. Vanessa slumped on her bed and let Nixon out of his cage. Nixon hooed at Vanessa and rubbed his head on her arm. She pet him and used her other hand to perch him up on her arm. Vanessa walked to the window and let him go fly. Nixon needs to get her mail.

Kirk was a little thrown off by her behavior. "Uh, bye to you too." he said in a whisper. "So, Josh, how about we go for a quick fly around the field?"
