Duo Nox "I never had anyone dislike anything unexpectedly, but I did have Fenris like something I didn't expect him to.
Ahahah, man what?
I know, eh? I saw my sister play as a Dalish as well, so I saw the begining. She had a go at me when I denied giving her the relic, and hated my guts after that.
Yeah, most of the game is probably optional, but I did as much as I could. A few of the quests glitched up on me though, besides the Isabell one. Some kidnapping one and... one I can't remember right now." I've gotten to Act III now. Anders is sounding more and more like he's going to do something severely stupid. And the whole Vengence thing is a little...well, I'm making frowny faces at the game in the rare spaces I bring Anders along/talk to him at the clinic. Took awhile with that quest because I liked Merrill, just kind of skewy on the whole mirror thing. I read up what happens if you give her the tool. It ain't pretty and I'm glad I declined. One with the name "Sketchy on the Details" and another that had me all around the bloody Wounded Coast glitched on me as well.

But he does something stupid, of course.
Ahaha, I declined and she hated my guts after it, and wouldn't listen to a word I said.
Yeah, probably the same ones I had, really annoying, since I was trying to do everything I could."

I still feel so old when I realize that game's 5 years old already.
Seriously, I was in like tenth grade when it came out and it was one of the big reasons I wanted a 360.

Man I know what you mean. When the game came out I was close to graduating High School, now I'm getting ready to graduate from college.

Bethesda makes it into the Elite Eight of the March Mayhem Developers Showdown 2011 sponsored by Alienware and The Escapist. They are marched up in a classic March Mayhem battle, Bethesda vs Bioware.
It was a hard choice for me since I love both studios, but in the end I voted for Bethesda as they are the ones who introduced me into RPG gaming. At least on the console. Blizzard holds the title of introducing me for the 1st time with Diablo II.

I'd have to go with Bioware. It's by no means a perfect company and I do like Bethesda a lot, but Bioware just does character so well.
I have such emotional responses to the characters and in the end, that's what makes a game for me. I've only played TES of Bethesda, but you don't get as much of the expressiveness.

"I couldn't choose. I enjoy their games, but just like consoles, I can't pick a favorite. I can only go by a game-by-game basis.
The first RPG I ever played was Baldur's Gate. Got it with out first dinosaur of a computer(Which we still own, and it still works.)
But I agree with Supinelu on the character thing. I never find myself attached to any Elder Scrolls characters(Or Fallout), there are far too many and you learn very little about them, it's hard to see them as a person. I can easily help someone one time, then turn around and kill them another without any remorse. Where as I've mentioned, Anders untimately made me decide my choice at the end of DAII."

I can't even be bothered to sign up for a million websites to vote for these things unless it's possible to connect with Twitter.

It wasn't bad, but it was irritatingly unoriginal and mundane...

I have to agree with you on that. It was basically a bland English themed RPG. I was hugely excited for the Shivering Isles as it added back in unique landscapes and a guest line that was much more enjoyable than the main quest for OB.
