1 1/2 I think

1 1/2?
1.5!

I know 1 1/2 is also 1.5

What I don't get is why you're saying 1 1/2.
Iheard about him a long long time ago but didn't really listen to him and get hooked on him til not too long ago.

I'd like to say a year, but I wish I had known about him earlier cuz he just amazes me. I'm even working on making my avi which is based on him. I have become completely obssessed with him for almost the entire year (first it was Miyavi and Dir en grey). I've known about/ loved hide since I started into JRock. .:Currently listening to Lemon I Screamed:.

I've been a fan of Hide for a year now, maybe a bit longer. I knew about him as well as X-Japan for years.

I knew about a metal group called "X," because it was on MTV's worst Metal moments. But the real reason was from Clamp's "X the movie" I always loved the sojng X and Forever Love. I didn't have to know what TOshi was saying ut it made me cry. Anways enough about Toshi. Since I'm a born Metal Head, the guitar solo from Forever Love is what really got me to start researching X-Japan.

A Year ago I had a huge break when I found a multi J-Music site. After YouTUbing Their songs and videos, fell in love with X-Japan for these Reasons.

It's Power Metal
80's, and comes with the thigns associated with it.
Guitar lines were great sounding, even to those not into the music genre
Verstile. From Blue Blood to Crucify my Love

Back To Hide (I keep getting off track)
His energy, ability to entertain and guitar/vocal skills were pure amazing. I don't thik there'll ever be a guy like Hide around anymore, rest in peace

hide is amazing on guitar. I went to JRock Rev and they were playing the X Japan last live. Not only did I bawl my eyes out (Damn you Yoshiki...) I couldn't help but grin at the same time. hide is truly amazing, especially on a big screen. Good lord...And I got to explain to my friend who he was and why he is and always will be insanely awesome. (She's new to Jrock, I'm converting her! YAY!)

...By the way, not to bring up old things but...Kaoru Valentine...Sama isnt only used to refer to someone as a 'god' of sorts...It's also used to refer to someone of higher 'rank' than you, or someone with special talents or really good looks. >_> It's a sign of respect not, 'HOMG J00 ARE GOD!' So maybe people who say hide-sama dont mean he's a GOD persay, they're just putting respect, ne? I'm just saying. ^^

Call me KV, if you wish : ). (Welcome to the guild btw, I haven't really seen you post around here). Anyway, yeah, it's used to show that someone is of a higher rank than you. However, I don't care if someone is a rockstar or not, it doesn't make them better than you.

I've lived in Japan, and the only time I've heard 'Sama' is in relation to God or to someone who is someone of very high rank. Also, the horrid fangirls screeching 'KAMENASHI SAMA~~KYAAAA'

I don't mind if someone who speaks fluent, or close to fluent Japanese uses it, because they know what it means and they understand it and choose to use it when referring to a rock star (even if it does annoy me somewhat). What further annoys me to the point of wanting to bash my head against my keyboard is the little impressionable anime watchers who have little to no concept of true Japanese and use that term.

Anyway, sorry for rambling. ^^;

well it depends...

when I was so little around 7 or so I remember so little but I remember hide on the tv singing along to misery & breeding when I was a bit older than that.

but I only started paying more attention when...I was around 14, so it's been a while for me.
