Riley finished inspecting the room, a high whistle snapping him back to focus. Whatever was in here was long gone and left no hint of where it went, despite being sure of this...it was best to get the hell out of there. He exited the room and remembered the door, that would serve as a marker for the spot that would not be passed, because as he peered down the hallway he noted that the lighting looked off, like a couple bulbs were defective. Either way, he wasn't going down there and would make sure as many people as possible would follow his example. Just looking down that hall made a few hairs on the bakc of his neck stand on end. He turned and returned Kira and the defensive guy again after a short search. " Sorry about that, just wanted to check things out. I think whatever was in there went the other way down the hall so it's best if everyone avoids going that way."

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓"..shouldn't we find them then? Or.. something," Kira began, then trailed off as her eyes found the floor again. She didn't exactly know how to find her way around, and she had a feeling that Lake was only a little more knowledgeable in the situation. Riley had just woken up too so they'd be on the same page.
Speaking of which... Kira glanced up as the ice man approached, her expression fading to relief, then back to anxiety once more as he spoke of the.. thing. "Sorry for running off..." she replied quietly, her gaze peering past him again, back down the hallway. She mentally thanked her instincts for bringing her in the safe direction. Or luck. She didn't what had helped as long as it kept up the good work.
Swallowing, her hand lifted to idly rub at her newest ear, which twitched in response. "So we should... put more distance between us and it, or something..." she suggested uneasily. ♥ ☓ ♥

If you can't take the heat...
...then get the hell out of my way. ☠_____________________________________☠ "GYYAAAH!"
A loud, violent growl echoed down the empty hallway, followed by a resounding clang as something slammed into metal. The noise traveled far and fast, alerting anyone that might be around of his presence, but Kyouichi wasn't exactly the careful type. "Goddamn stupid mother fu..!" More cries could be heard, these ones more audible as the monster of a man let out his frustrations. Anyone with exceptionally good hearing would be able to make out the actual words in the shouting, though they'd likely regret it soon after.
He'd awoken not only in a strange place, but he'd awoken in a strange place without his gun. How the hell was he supposed to do anything without his gun?! Not only that, but he'd had his fill of being trapped in little rooms. Granted, this time he hadn't been trapped since the door had been open, and the only belted clothing he wore was black and missing a sleeve; not exactly ideal for restraints. It wasn't anything like juvie, or the asylum. There weren't doctors rushing about, making notes, forcing him to swallow those damn pills... It was empty. Or at least, he'd yet to see anyone. Then again, with the uproar he was causing, he wouldn't be surprised if he never found anyone, and it'd be smart of them too. He was just dying to stumble across something to let out his frustrations upon.
The shouts and curses were briefly drowned out by the some of something very heavy colliding with metal, much louder than the last ringing crash. This one echoed, and seemed to be happening repeatedly, metal crashing into each other again and again. In reality, each time Kyou pass a door, it went flying from its hinges, slamming violently into the hall across from it. A few times he nearly hit himself, but it seemed unphased by the near deadly impacts.

 Craig Ialden
The Shadow Man
"What if I were to...
...disappear...
...in front of your very eyes?"
Pain. A searing pain in his head. Confusion. Why was there pain in his head? Why was there pain...everywhere? Light. Blindingly brilliant, white light, intense even through closed eyelids. Noise. What was that noise? Oh. It was him. He was making those noises. Groaning in pain. Groaning because he had to wake up and go to class. But if he had to go to class, why was he in so much pain? Ugh...I think I'm gonna have to email the professors. Let them know that I can't make it today. What kind of fever did I catch? And why the hell is my bed so hard?
Thoughts racing, he pushed himself up into a sitting position and he realized one thing. I'm on the floor. Did I crash here last night? I thought I made it to bed. Why am I on the floor? Why am I in the clothes that I wore for that party? And why the hell is the light so bright?!
"Nghh, Zach! Turn off the damn light!" Yelling out, he found something strange happened. His voice...echoed? That was...different. Why was it happening? Rubbing his eyes, he opened them sleepily only to find that he had no idea where he was.
All he could see was white. White room, white floor, white lights, giant door. "Wait...what the hell kind of door is this?" He exclaimed, standing and stretching his muscles as he took stock of the room. Walking over to it, he noticed thick metal bands on it, almost as if it was made to keep people inside....
At this point he was filled with terror. Had he been kidnapped? Maybe he had been taken to an insane asylum. Was there more doors like this to keep the crazy people inside?! Was it safer for him to just close the door and hope that he would survive? Or would it be better for him to get moving, trying to find help?
After a short few minutes, he decided. To hell with it. He'd run. If he found anybody who tried to attack, he'd escape until he could fight back. Exiting the room, he caught a quick glance of something on the door. Something blue. What did that signify?
And then he heard the sounds. Well, it would be hard to not hear them. Crashing metallic sounds resounded through the halls coming from one way. Without a second thought he turned away from there and headed the other direction. He wouldn't try to figure that out until he had a weapon. So, with a quick glance back at the room, he turned and lightly jogged away, on the lookout for possible weapons and foes.

══════════ ♦Ƹirgail Ӷisdell♦══════════ "Excuse me, but does the smashing help?"
There was no underlying mocking to the speaker's tone, no hint of a snide remark - and indeed, the very young girl who appeared in one of the now doorless doorways clasped her hands behind her quite politely. A pair of large brown eyes peered out into the hallway from under an even larger top hat, watching with mild interest as Kyou crashed and banged his way along. Despite the ruckus, she seemed unperturbed, and indeed, there was no hint of fear on her cunning features.
She stepped out of the doorway and tipped her hat to the rampaging giant before continuing. "I happened to notice your enthusiasm for unhinging my new bedroom door, you see, and so I thought I'd come and say hello." She paused, tilting her head at him a little. "...Hello."
A pause, and she looked down the other end of the corridor, peering at Craig instead and blinking a few times. "Oh, did you bring a friend?"

If you can't take the heat...
...then get the hell out of my way. ☠_____________________________________☠ Kyouichi paused, his hand jerking in the air, and a giant metal door paused just seconds from bashing into yet another wall. Instead it hovered in the air, as if no longer certain where to settle. Meanwhile, the giant's head turned, glancing around, then finally tilted to peer downwards. Ah, there was the source. There was a midget at his feet. A midget with a top hat. He gave her a blank stare at first, through brown eyes that almost appeared red. The gaze quickly narrowed, studying her expression and analyzing her tone.
"She's mocking you. Mocking. That little brat dares to mock, mock, mock... You should kill. Teach her a lesson, kill kill..."
He shook his head, as if that'd knock away the thoughts, and his brow furrowed in confusion. "What the hell is a little brat like you doing here? If you don't watch yourself you'll be crushed, little brat." It seemed he'd already fondly dubbed with her his own affectionate title. Wait, bedroom? "...why are you here, brat?" he asked in a gruff voice, half growling as he stared down at her.
However, her next words caught his attention, and shifted it away from him. Someone was fleeing. "Hey you ********> he bellowed, completely unashamed of his foul tongue in front of a child. His hand jerked again, and one of the toppled doors near Craig's end of the hall suddenly righted itself. A second later, it was slamming toward the male, only to swerve in an attempt to block him off instead. The heavy metal door rang loudly against the wall before him, revealing just what the sound had been. Now, Kyou had a very simple reason to try and block rather than crush the poor guy. He wanted some answers. "Get back here!" [Let me know if you find his language too offensive... o wo;;;]

.Lake. Annoyed, Lake had opened his mouth to protest Riley's reappearance, but abruptly cut himself short. Almost automatically, he threw his arm out - protectively, it seemed - in front of Kira at the sound of a massive ruckus somewhere in the maze.
Naturally, his arm and hand fell perfectly in line with her chest.
...What was that? The same thing that broke down the door to that room we saw...?
Or...something else?
Reluctantly, he allowed himself to shift...his tongue ran sharply over a pair of elongated fangs, and the arm held out in front of Kira began to shake slightly. Against his steadily-paling skin, dark veins began to pop up, swelling and enlarging beneath his flesh and crawling slowly up to his hand. Long, spindly claws, at least twice the length of his fingers, began to slide from the tips of his nails, poised, ready. A faint, rumbling growl lingered in his throat, and his eyes darted around again, trying to determine which direction the ruckus may have come from. His muscles tensed, rippling faintly beneath his skin.
Ice-boy said the creature that destroyed that room went the other way...
But the noise came from this direction.
We're...surrounded?

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Before Kira could take a step, or convince the others to get moving as well, she was confronted with what sounded like a very good reason not to. She jolted, her eyes widening again. Acting true to her animal's stereotypes, she'd started to reach for Lake again to latch on, but froze as his arm jerked out instead. She flinched, staring down at it, up at him, then back down again as something caught her eye. Her perked, listening ears instantly flattened against her skull.
"L-Lake?"
His arm was shaking, and growing... claws? Her eyes grew wide, staring down at him in blank disbelief. Veins sprang up beneath his skin and he seemed to tense. She'd tensed as well, for as he let out the growl, she jolted slightly again and took a quick half step back from him. She wasn't about to get in his way if he launched himself at something.
Her eyes darted fearfully toward Riley, then back in the direction of the clanging. It'd paused briefly, but then another rang out, sounding further off but still close enough to worry over. Though, Kira was trying her best not to worry too much, despite how the fur on her tail was yet again starting to stand on end. If she stressed and worried, then that'd be it. She wouldn't be able to distinguish anything, and she'd just...
The thoughts were pushed from her mind, and her eyes narrowed to stare past Lake, down the hallway. She didn't smell blood. It didn't smell like that room had in this direction.
"...I think it's something new," she offered faintly, voice barely above a whisper. This new state Lake had revealed had her feeling tense, reminding her that she knew nothing about him. ♥ ☓ ♥

══════════ ♦Ƹirgail Ӷisdell♦══════════ "Why am I here? Well, why are you there?" she questioned, unperturbed by his bellowing. "You may find that the reason you are there is entirely the same reason that I am here. Then again, considering I'm not quite SURE why I am here, it may simply depend on why you are there. Oh, off you go..."
She craned her neck further past the doorway to watch the strange giant man start shouting again - another rampage, perhaps?
"...You seem awfully excited to see your friend ********> she observed, sidling up to him following his umpteenth door-tossing. "It's a pity he doesn't seem awfully excited to see you."
She straightened her tie, smoothing out any creases in her tail coat before tipping her hat up a little and tilting her head to gaze at the very far-away head of the lumbergiant. "Perhaps you got his name wrong. You see, MY name is pronounced 'Eir-gail Tis-dell'. You didn't say it correctly. I'm sure you tried your best, though." She blinked at him placidly.

The Shadow Man
"What if I were to...
...disappear...
...in front of your very eyes?"
God dammit. So close. So close to leaving the crashing metallic sounds behind. So close to being able to find a place to hide and escape. But, of course, he was spotted. Solid Snake he was not. And it wasn't like he could run or anything. Nope. A giant metal door had descended and blocked his path off. Seems like he was supposed to be meeting the rather loud, obnoxious fellow who seemed to have a penchant for playing with metal doors.
Sighing a little, he turned and walked slowly back, just slow enough to hopefully piss the a*****e off. He may have been doing what he was told, but it was only because he had no other choice. Especially not when the man seemed to be able to control metal. In the minds of others, it might have seemed impossible, but for him it was like something he had always imagined. Having a world filled with people with powers. Well, here he was. A world where somebody has powers. The only problem was that he didn't have any.
Upon getting closer to the man, he did something very dangerous and very stupid. Stopping just a bit before him, he held up his hand and said, "No, shut up. You nearly killed me with a door. You're answering my questions. Where are we? What happens here? How did you come by your powers? Did you get them here? Or did you have them before?" He asked, staring the man straight in the eyes. Only when he was finished did he notice that there was another person near him. A young girl, probably not older than thirteen. Was she a hostage? No...she seemed too relaxed for that. Maybe she was supplying his powers? Shaking his head, he put those questions to rest. He didn't know anything and it would be pointless to guess. He'd figure them out later. Well...if there's a later. He thought to himself, wondering if he was about to die.

If you can't take the heat...
...then get the hell out of my way. ☠_____________________________________☠ Kyouichi's attention briefly returned to the girl, and he stared down at her with that same look of perplexed confusion. She couldn't be real. Maybe she was another figment of his imagination. They didn't lock aunts up in this place. ...whatever this place was. Still, she was a pipsqueak, so that obviously mean she was pitiful and weak and didn't belong. She also didn't need to be running her ********> he echoed, blinking. "Hell if I know what his damn name is. And hell if I care," he spat, and glanced back toward the male in question to make sure he had stopped. It surprised him to see the guy was actually approaching, but soon a rather broad, almost too broad, smirk had crossed his features, and the door started dragging behind him. He didn't bother lifting it from the ground. It scraped noisily, in case the stranger decided to change his mind and flee again. Well, unlucky for him, there was quite a lot of metal in this place.
"I don't give a damn what your name is either, brat," he added quite casually over his shoulder.
Now, for fun part. The man had arrived, and Kyou stared down at him, his height giving him an edge over just about anyone. His lips parted, no doubt to spew of a rather foul-mouthed version of the questions that he was quite suddenly cut off by. "...if you keep that hand raised, you're gonna lose it."
"Do it, do it! Goddamn you, just do it!"
The door jerked forward again, to bump none too gently into the male's back unless he'd step away in time. Meanwhile, the one he'd originally been about to throw was still hovering off to the side, standing in the middle of the hallway like some magical portal to another world. Sadly, that wasn't the case here. Kyou regarded the guy through narrowed eyes, reddish hues boring down upon him. "...guess you're exposable then." With that, he simply turned away. Sure, his back was open now, and he figured that if he was here with powers, then others likely had them too. He wasn't very worried.
With the diversion of his attention as he started off down the hallway, he removed the little effort it took to hold up the doors. They both toppled, one landing harmlessly against a wall, and the other threatening to fall forward upon poor neglected Craig.

The Shadow Man
"What if I were to...
...disappear...
...in front of your very eyes?"
So the a** wanted to play rough? Questions, goddamn questions! That was all we asked! He had only wanted answers! So what did the douche do? He smacked him in the back with a door, the same door that had cut off his escape from the psychopath before. And then he threatened to cut off his hand. What's with this guy?! He thought to himself, letting his gaze fall upon the floating door in front of him.
He was, in fact, rather lucky that he had been staring at the door. Because as soon as the man turned away, it started to fall. Towards him. Throwing himself backwards over the fallen door behind him, he watched as it fell to the ground with a resounding crash. If I had been under there...that might have killed me. He thought, looking at the retreating form of the man. Then he looked down at the young girl that had been with him, the one he thought was supplying the man's power. He gave her a look that seemed to ask why she was staying near him. Then, shaking his head, he turned away from the conflict area, heading back the way that he had originally gone. He may have wanted answers, but he wasn't ready to die for them.
"We'll probably meet again in this place. And the next time we do, it won't be such a one-sided fight." He said softly, barely above hearing range. He would find a weapon. And he would fight. And if he found a power...all the better for him.

══════════ ♦Ƹirgail Ӷisdell♦══════════ "Ah...well, good by then, Mister ********!" Eir called politely, offering a wave to his retreating form. "And yourself as well, Mister..." She paused, contemplative, and then took off after Kyou again, holding the rim of her hat as she did so in case it fell off. "Excuse me, but you still haven't told me your name." She glanced into the doorless rooms she was hurrying past, noting that the interiors were quite similiar to the room she herself had woken up in...how long had it been now? Time passed in a curious fashion without night and day, and considering that she had decided not to leave her 'bedroom' before now, it was especially hard to gauge how long she had sat on her bed waiting for something to happen, following her awakening.
"Are you going somewhere nice?" she continued, falling into step behind Kyou and peering up at him. "You seem to be in an awful hurry."

.Lake. "Well," Lake murmured, his crimson eyes flashing, "looks like we've got nowhere to go."
I've heard strange crashes like this before...but never this close...
So, they had some kind of mad, destructive creature hurtling down one hallway, or possibly lurking, and a rampage of sorts taking place - possibly advancing toward them - in the other. Absently, he lifted his other arm, stepping in front of both Kira and Riley then and blocking them behind him in an almost protective fashion. For all they knew, both unknown entities could be advancing toward them at that very moment...
