When Spiritwind finally ran off her grief, she quietly came back to camp. Her paws were muddy and her fer was slightly wet where she had almost fallen into the river due to not paying attention where she was running. As she entered the Clan camp, she stopped by the fresh-kill pile to get a vole. After eating the prey, she went to a quiet corner of camp and began to clean her fur.

Darkpaw looked down on the ground, deep in thought. There must have been some other warrior and apprentice who were able-bodied! He thought. He shook his head and focused on a pika in front of him.

(( i lost a post You can see it when replying in the bit below the text box but not on the main page, so i am going to post it again. Hope this is ok biggrin ))
Lunapaw gave a purr of welcome as Heronkit came over. Lunapaw looked up and saw it was getting dark. She looked down at the kit who had a mouse with her, "you should get some sleep Heronkit, the moon is rising and soon it will be very dark. I am going to wait for Pebblestar to return and i shall be heading to my comfy nest also." She touched the kit on the shoulder with the tip of her tail in a caring way.

((Oh, okay. That may of happened because of the guild glitch. :3 ))
Lunapaw's comfort gave Heronkit a warm feeling. She looked up at the sky, noticing now that it was, in fact, getting dark. "Oh, okay. I guess you're right." She grabbed the mouse in her mouth and padded off to the nursery. "Oh!" She turned her head back to Lunapaw. "Please be careful out there. I can't stand to see an injured Clanmate. Or friend." She turned and padded into the nursery.
Inside, she ate the rest of her mouse, and drifted off to sleep.

Lunapaw was comforted at Heronkit's words but they also worried at the same time. She loved the comfort of the little kit and knowing they were going to be friends as Heronkit trotted off she realised she was quite tired but wanted to wait for Pebblestar, something told her there was something going on but didnt know what.

Pebblestar simply watched Darkpaw as he went about stalking the pika. She looked away, and sat down.

((Too long? I was bored.))
Darkpaw waited a second, and leapt at the pika. The pika opened its mouth in a silent squeal and was suddenly shut off as he bit into its neck. He tossed it at Pebblestar, making sure it only skimmed her tail so that it caught her attention. "You want to eat it?" He mewed. He didn't like her, but she was the Clan leader, and he could just keep his feelings to himself. He turned away, hearing no reply from Pebblestar, and leapt at a bird who was about to land. He leapt on top and just let gravity bring them both down. As the bird fell, he leapt off, then landing with a neat roll.

"Good catch," Pebblestar called. She glanced down at the pika and buried it. She'd save it for the elders.

Darkpaw shook his head. He went for more prey and finally ran out of energy. He looked at the ground, checking each piece of prey on the ground. He had caught three pikas, a bird, 4 squirrels, and a couple of voles. "Hm. I thought that I'd do better than yesterday..." He muttered, picking up as many pieces of fresh-kill as he could, then bringing it back to camp. He looked back at Pebblestar, hoping she'd bring in the last few pieces on the ground. Seeing no reaction from Pebblestar, he turned around and headed back to camp, dropping the pieces of prey onto the fresh-kill pile. He picked up a squirrel and headed into the far corner of the camp, as far away from the leader's den as possible and started eating.

Pebblestar picked up the rest of her apprentice's catch and carried it back to camp.
Was it wrong to tell Darkpaw? Perhaps it was, she hadn't done any good by telling him, she'd probably only made it worse. Sadly, she dropped the pieces into the pile and jumped up into her den.
Somehow, leader wasn't as fun as she thought it would be.

Darkpaw watched in surprise as he watched Pebblestar leap into her den. Maybe it was wrong to ignore her...but he didn't know what to say to her. Maybe... He followed Pebblestar into her den and waited quietly at the door. "Pebblestar?"
