Carter takes Nathan's silence meaning he doesn't consider himself her friend.
"Um, alright...I should be seeing the principal though...to get my room? I could specially ask for this room! That way you won't have to help anymore.."
She frowns a bit.

Rika gets teary eyed. "You do not wish to stay here with
me Carter?" She puts her head down. "I would like it
very much if you could stay here! But if you wish to leave
I do understand."

Noah shrugs.
"Nothing too tragic, they just acted as if I was perfect, and compared me to everyone else in my family. If I got lower than 99 or 100, they would like, be so mean." He said, hiding some stuff.

"No, I do want to stay with her. I need to make it official though. I was saying I could ask for this room specifically."

"I went to this one place, and like, the parents get money for the better grades or something like that. Basically they used me for money."

for getting upset then Carter. Let's go to the office
and see what we can do! What classes do you guys
wish to take?" She smiles and rubs her eyes.

Rika points to a corner. "Well for now I only have
one bed, but I have plenty of money to buy us
another bed from the school! We can maybe decorate
here as well. What's your favorite color Carter." She
smiles but then realizes shes talking to much. [sorry

Nathan walks over and puts the luggage in the corner looking around
"I'm surprized you got this room all to yourself really... it's much bigger than most of them."
He continues looking around as the two girls talk.

"I like blue, but if that's not a good color I like pretty much anything."
She hates fighting.
After hearing Nathan's comment she looks around the room noticing it is big.
"Woah...are all the rooms like this?"

"Huh? Oh...nothing. I just thought for a second your parents had cared. But they didn't, so don't worry."
He also realizes he's being an a*****e again.

Rika shakes her head. "No, most rooms are actually small. When
my parents died I got left behind a money. So far I've only used
it to help me out in school. Also, I like blue as well." She smiles.
"Do you have a room here too Nathan?"
